Christopher Hudson "Are There Few That Be Saved?"

Solomon described our present world in Eccl 3:16. Corruption is everywhere now as then. Our challenge is not to look at fallible men for all have sinned. But, the day of judgment is coming rapidly for all. Rev 14:7 says the judgment is now. Our only security is is found in Joh 3:18. When we believe in Jesus, we register a not guilty plea. Therefore we get a trial. 1 Pe 4:18 says the righteous shall scarcely be saved. Laodicea means judgment of the people. Who is spewed out? Those who say they are rich. What is necessary? Repentance. Luk 13:24 says many will seek to enter unsuccessfully. The door is about to be shut. Jesus stands at the door. Isa 22:22. When He closes the door, it is finished. The people outside thought they were in the narrow way. They were deceived. Now is the preparation time. The olympians prepare years in advance. They don't expect to compete without training. Neither should we. 1 Co 9:24-27. Our opponent is out to kill us. We need to fight with all that is in us through the power of the Spirit. Zech 4:6. Heb 12:1-3 tells us to lay aside every weight, and sin and run with patience looking unto Jesus lest we faint in our minds (forget who we are and whose we are) and succumb to temptation.Will you be inside or outside when Jesus closes the doors?

Revelation 11:1 The grand judgment is taking place, and has been going on for some time. Remember when you are walking the streets about your business, God is measuring you; when you are attending your household duties, when you engage in conversation, God is measuring you. Remember that your words and actions are being (photographed) in the books of heaven, as the face is reproduced by the artist on the polished plate.... Here is the work going on, measuring the temple and its worshipers to see who will stand in the last day. Those who stand fast will have an abundant entrance into the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. When we are doing our work remember there is One that is watching the spirit in which we are doing it. Shall we not bring the Saviour into our everyday lives, into our secular work and domestic duties? Then in the name of God we want to leave behind everything that is not necessary, all gossiping or unprofitable visiting, and present ourselves as servants of the living God.
