There is a minor thing about enhancements I will point out: the new class has guaranteed crits, so using Spiral Carve probably isn't too helpful. You may be better off using Awe Blast for damage or even just Mana Vamp to keep your skills up or Health Vamp so you don't ever have to touch your 3 to heal. In the grand scheme of things probably doesn't change too much, but still worth noting.
Forge enhancements do help alot, but he's also somehow missed the other fact that skill 4 reduces resistance WITHOUT removing conductive stacks. Only thunderstruck. Doing 4 before 5 deals considerably more damage and leaves enemies susceptible to more damage
Also require 10 daily like LoO btw, plus the boss is quite thick so it's not that quick if you don't already have a better class. Unless of course, members.. or u pay 2k ACs

i found out that animation Darkblood stormking skill number 5 way more cooler than Sovereign of Storms they should keep this animation for Storm Surge skill would be nice

Dunno about it being meta yet as this class is mainly dps output and we already have better ones like qcm, vdk and ai on the main list (and this is not yet considering other dps type chrono classes aside from the already mentioned qcm) This should be a Mid to Late or completely Late game tier for now at least.
Wish the stacking mechanic applied from skills 2 - 4 and hoped that the shocked and thunderstuck stacked on top of each other instead of one or the other. For a level 80 unlockable class it's relatively weak compared to what's already available at that level
It's sad that more effort was put into the class obtaining method than for the "upgrade" itself, not even new icons. AE really needs to do something to make it more useful, considering how much people have to go through (the whole main story) to obtain it
Haven’t played this game in over 6 months and I’ve always gone through phases of not playing it for a while, off and on for years. Recently got back into a playing phase, and have a genuine question for those who play consistently. If you have a handful of very good classes (5-10) atp in the games life span, what’s even the point of them making new classes anymore? Or stuff like this anyway, comes off gimmicky imo. Like if most players have some of the best classes in the game atp, what’s the point of them making stuff like this? Just curious lol.
This is a first "experimental" release of the aqw team of giving us better classes than going thru creation and balancing of new class. I like the idea of tier 2 classes being a thing however its simply a matter of where they put it and the method of obtaining it, in this case being malgor arc storyline which imo is a poor choice starting point when some elite+ mobs hits 500 non-crit being norm. Not good for below 3k HP lacking the ability to mitigate + time consuming since these kind mobs are 8k + HP. Moving on to what you really here for: There are always better classes to use yes but you only need the few essentials to use the whole game. Some of us are just soft-endgame players not like the true endgame ultra players who eat sleep breathe ultra farms every week on a specific day getting insignias. Its for those of us who are not hardcore farming material. We just looking out for "decent" goals but not time sucky sucky enough to question wht we doing with our lives. eg. My view on being soft-game is being lv 100, farmed out 3 weapon forge enhancement that lacerate,praxis and smite. Complete all helm and cape forge enhancement quest. I have yet to get any of the hardcore endgame CAv, Vhl, Vdk, LR, YnR classes. I'm rocking/ switching around all the rep classes I have for all the updates the aqw team put out that and trying changes made to any old classes like the recent Ninja update which btw is good Swordmaster class subtitute with praxis enhancement.(Cope Take).
You always gotta get the class cause you don't know what's gunna happen they may buff it. Hell they might nerf it and over five years maybe both many times. Just get the class!
It's kinda wild that they thought it was a good idea to make 2 classes in a row that has a similar ~20 stack mechanic (ie Arcana Invoker) and just made it worse? It's dps is quite literally around twice as low and it has way less team support capabilities. I get Arcana is way of a harder grind without the ultra method but there's no excuse to make a class that seemingly is a straight downgrade compared to a similar class which released only 3 months ago
TLDR, it is a better version of DBSK but its not worth unless you just want another bank class, it can do dmg but needs a party and ultras have dmg protection either way, if you have any end game class (even dragon of time) you are fine. If you have dauntless it might be worth bcs its dauntless, what did you expect?
DBSK was my first reputation class and I love it back in that time for sure, but this new one indeed is useless, a 100% new class and not a recycle would have been better

This is the main reason for aqw dying i had great memory and fun with this game but the lack of effort and implementation of modern features just killed it they had to hire someone else to code the new client and aqw2d taking forever 😢

Yes it is worth it, my guy. it does 20k dps NOT potted with pots its 40k. MY GUY. Even the defensive mode does around 10.1-10.5 k dps. Also, you need better enhancements, even with DBSK... you can get it to 13k dps. (Off mode) Might surprise a lot of people but using pots and forge you can get up to and some times over 8x the dps. I usually dont use pots unless challenge boos/ wanna make things go faster, but at least we need some actual forge.

So basically not as good as light caster, LR, void highlord or chaos avenger but its relatively quick to farm.

from my testing, it has the same dps as vhl (without dauntless, using smite on vhl and valiance on sos) potless
Im using Smite,Anima clairvoyance and double lucky on VHL VDK CAV
Skill icons MAD weak. It really that hard for these folks to customize 4 or 5 little icons?
