so i have had the pleasure of talking to the dooo before (no never seen his face) but mostly talked about his start, why he hides his face and most importantly guitar. He has been playing guitar for a long time, never had a teacher just played from tabs and other things over and over again till it sounded right and learned chords from there. if you know guitar you can see he isn’t always perfect on the key or note. what he does is known as relative pitch. basically mimics the pitch with a similar or same note and changes chords and octaves to match the pitch and note changes. Yes he does often get the notes right cause of muscle and hearing memory. never the less still an incredible guitarist. it just makes it even more impressive that he never was taught guitar. and the fact he can mimic voices as well as other instruments is wild.

The Doo is imho one of the greatest guitarsts of all time and i dont say that lightly. It's not just his mastery of technique. His feel and note choice are absolutely astounding. That Golden Hour song is a perfect blend of style, beauty, and technique. There's very few guitarists who can pull that off.
