We disovered in a Patreon chat the other day that Eli also has a five octave range. And of course that rock tenor voice, and runs and riffs. No wires... all done with green screen and clever editing.
The newest member is Cesar. It would surprise you, he is actually a baritone, who can reach low tenor with ease, then can stack a beautiful falsetto on top of that to reach high tenor notes.
@@dianeschluter9995 that's something I've noticed about VoicePlay... the obscenely wide ranges they all have. Eli covering the bass lines when Geoff has a solo, Cesar - the official baritone - hitting the highest note in Dream On (bear in mind Omar and Eli were up there with him belting their hearts out) and while J None is giving us that gorgeous falsetto in The Lion Sleeps Tonight, he's actually singing bass in the Navy choir :D Geoff's range is large enough that he's able to sing all the parts in his solo covers... from way up high, to the depths of the earth. It's not just his range either, it's how nimble and comfortable he is in every part of his range. The man's a beast of a vocalist

If your wife is a fan she might enjoy watching this. She would get a lot of the references such as Eli‘s hellfire club T-shirt under his jacket. Layne did the arrangement and he said it only took him five or six hours. Apparently he got hit by a burst of inspiration! You might want to go back and look at their mini channel. They did the theme to Stranger Things (or at least a part of it) on their mini channel. They also did a whole series of just sound effects. Adriana Arellano was with them at that time. They do different app sounds and it’s pretty amazing. One of the benefits of being one of their patrons is that you get what they called the karaoke track. It is everything except the lead singer. For someone who’s not musically trained I find it really interesting to listen to. It doesn’t sound like the song sometimes. But when I go back to listen to the entire song I am able to catch all of those little things like Layne’s funny little sounds, or Geoff’s subtle bassline or Eli‘s falsetto. I’m working my way back through their rather impressive library. Between the karaoke track and the behind-the-scenes there’s a lot out there.

I'm excited to see what you pick next as there are so many great ones that's come out, and I can't really pick any one of them that I am excited for more than another. You definitely got Eli's name correct, and as others have said, the newest member is "Cesar De La Rosa" (pronounced Sea Tsar). If you ever get unsure about their names or who did what, you should check out their description, they always write who did what - Including who arranged the piece, who did the lighting (Eli!), who did the video editing (usually whoever arranges it but not always). They always give credit to additional help as well, like choreographers, costume designers, etc. A lot of people are suggesting (great) videos, but I'd also highly recommend putting their minis on your list of reactions. I remember you mentioned you'd seen the Tiki Room coming across your feed, and I would say that there should be a decent amount for a full video (I think so at least) - And it may make your wife happy to know that they did a full cover of the Stranger Things theme song as a mini! You pointed out the three-part harmony riff - Ashley is a beast at riffs and runs! In their "If I were a rich man / girl", Ashley *really* rips face and shows what she can do! Of course you've seen their "We don't talk about Bruno" with her in it, but she also joins them for some of their minis (my two favorite, "River" and "Your turn to role"). Cesar is the one who introduced her to VoicePlay and she's been an amazing addition to their featured artists! You betting on Geoff hitting his "bottom basement-breaking growls" and the opposite happening made me chuckle! Lately they've been doing these things a lot more where they subvert the listener's immediate expectations, so look forward to that in other reactions! (I enjoyed the irony of you catching the end of the video and putting it at the end of this video - Seeing how many people put their money where their mouth is, haha.) Regarding Ashley levitating - All the shots were made via greenscreen, then keying Ashley into the frame with VoicePlay. The close-up shots were done by having her plank on a green-covered table (stretched out, holding her neck up like that AND lip-syncing!). To put it mildly, they really put her to work in this! 😄 At 12:20, the sound Geoff is making I think is overtone singing. In the mini I mentioned earlier, Geoff did the same overtone phonation for the bassline, so I believe it's a reference / continuation of that. My bet is that this was their training grounds, learning to make all of the sounds that today are coming through in their full length videos like this one. I think you reacted to Warriors: They did an amazing cover of Aerosmith's Dream On, and the video is their story of what happened a couple of years later, after Warriors. Geoff's range is large enough that he's able to sing all the parts in his solo covers... from way up high, to the depths of the earth. It's not just his range either, it's how nimble and comfortable he is in every part of his range. The man's a beast of a vocalist
