Ok I hope you get this and maybe can lead me to a fix…I have exactly same bike. It start up and when it does first 2-3 kicks cold then smokes blue and then wont idle with choke off so I went and cleaned carbie went down a jet size and one above on needle started right up then smoked still and will not idle with choke off, so I then did a compression test wot and got 119psi so my thinking is valve seals maybe ? Iam ready to overhaul complete motor it’s been very frustrating..anyone else too who has a trail 110 or ideas please help…thank you for your videos i always go back to them as a reference as needed…🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉…cheers ..oh replaced throttle cable, new carb,Oem jets..spark plug is a black black not wet either like a heavy black powder coving.

Sick postie dude. Is it a 1977? Mine looks identical, maybe has just a little more patina 😂 I'm rebuilding the motor on her. Will be putting the top end back on tomorrow, but sadly won't be able to fire her up since it came missing a few clutch parts. Can't find anyone selling them for the life of me, unless its $100 shipping from the states for a $5 part... Great vid, subbed

I'd like to replace my cam chain too but wonder if I could just use a master link and feed the new chain through?

I’ve never done it that way you would need to take the head off but it’s also a good idea to check all rollers and tensioner
By the time you have removed everything to check you can put the chain on without breaking it

I was wondering if you can answer a question for me. I have a 84 ct110. I have two wires that I have no idea where they go from the kill switch/lights. One is a brown with white stripe and the other is a black wire.

The black will normally be a power feed that goes to a connector with 4 sockets and brown is tail light
But brown with white is park light from memory which 6v models did have
      Hope that helps

Ok from my harness there is no brown and white wire. Nor to the tail light.

Also the connection is female bullet.

@@sixfootfour20 is it on the back of the head light itself?

@@postietv7438 No, and I can't find anywhere on the harness that has a brown with white stripe. Nor on the wiring diagram. I wonder if it would jumper to the brown set of connectors going back to the tail light. But all the connections are full on that circuit
