Unte uma forma redonda de 20 cm com manteiga e forre com papel manteiga. Em uma tigela, misture a farinha, a farinha de pistache, o cardamomo, o fermento, o bicarbonato e o sal. You can buy it (probably online, as I wasn't able to find one in a physical store), but if you want to make one yourself, just search on youtube, there are few recepies, it's very simple, all you really need is a good food processor.

Well, I tried it, and my cake never made it past one layer high. To be fair I don't think it is the fault of her recipe. After tries with other recipes for making a cake from scratch, I am declaring myself cake incompetent and will use a box cake with pudding in it and add pistachios or anything else to that instead. The result, though flat, did have a nice taste.

Try the butter at room temp. Maybe it’s too coool
U must be using cold butter
Always make sure to hv butter cooled to room temperature b4 creaming with sugar. Cold butter will just curdle

Here buttermilk is not available, can I skip it or use different thing instead of it?
You may used any kind of buttermilk. Alternatively if you ad a bit of acid like lemon juice to regular milk that will also work.
