there was one episode that they slid into where it looked and felt like the home world, but Quinn opened his gate to his house and it didn't squeek, so they slide out of it. Then his parents come out and admire the work fixing of the squeeky gate letting the audience know that it was the home world, they just didn't recognize the gate. Damn, that was pretty mind blowing scene there.

show was better than that and had even higher potential....blame the morons at FOX for ruining it, the creators had vision, FOX didn't....
see Sliders coulda been as epic as Quantum Leap and even that show kinda went kaka as they say at the end....
but QL was cool enough and good enough consistently to be remembered well, Sliders is remembered okay by those who get it but any real fan...myself included will say it's a cool show but has it's issues
the Russians win the cold war episode was brilliant, the America never had it;s revolution, the robot world, the world divided by the net, those hooked in being the in crowd and the offliners being nothing....were all great episodes
and the vid is right the kromag crap ruined it, the studio meddling also ruined it....when a legend like John Rhys Davies quits cus the writing sucks you done fukked up but they coulda still fixed it so the blame is on FOX.....
should we mention the literal sea of shitty sitcoms?? just in the last decade? big bang, 2 broke girls, ugly betty and the list goes on......
Sliders is gold compared to most sitcoms and is the best thing ever compared to modern TV well
Cobra Kai beats it with consistency of quality....it helps to have perspective is all

The professor had major differences with the producers from the mid of the second season, cause he thought his character was written more and more poorly and was fading more and more in presence of the show. So they decided to remove him from the show.

I think there was also a whole theory on the professor and that in one of the episodes where the professor's alternate did not slide with the rest it was actually that alternate that slide with the others at the end of that episode and left the original professor behind, that theory was never resolved or anything.

The healer asked why he is getting up, and the professor replied that the healer said in Latin 'Get up and be well'. Then the healer was like 'Huh. Que did not "accidentally" create a machine that allows him to visit other dimentions. He intentionally created it. Actually he failed to create it till an alternate version of himself who figured it out months earler portaled into his universe and told him what he was doing wrong. The only part that was accidental was Remi coming along with them and the device being stuck on a randomizer so they couldn't portal back to their own universe.
Also I agree the show went down hill as soon as the Kromags got introduced. I don't really want a reboot... I would rather see the series continued but revealing that all the stuff with the Kromags was just in a highly advanced computer game... which is kind of an writing trope but there's no other way to write them out of existence other than making them into video game characters on another Earth. And then continuing on as if all the shit involving them never happened.
But if they do have a reboot with new characters and make it closer to creator's original intent before the network said "Screw science lets just do any damn thing even if it makes no logical sense."

Im still waiting for more Sliders. They should totally continue the show. It could be a reboot or remake... or both of them the same time, it doesnt matter, altearnate realitys!
I remember when they got home, but the fence was oiled and they didnt know so they just kept sliding. Pretty sad episode.

Unpopular conspiracy theory about the TV show sliders,
They had to take it off the air in the 2000s because they were developing the parallel portal technology at that time and were afraid people would figure it all out
