@@Craxin01 Two, one on each show. First one has Claudia visiting Eureka to pick up some purple goo, second has Fargo stuck in a virtual reality game thanks to Lewis Carroll's Tea Pot and Claud and the gang are called over to help out.
That time was amazing. You had Stargate shows on Friday paired with Warehouse 13 and Eureka as well as Farscape. It seems SyFy had no idea what it had.
This show deserves a full reunion movie. It's too good a premise, a town with crazy scientists and a everyman character type with really good emotional light hearted stories and not preachy or condescending to the audience. The way they wove each character to evolve over the 5 seasons was perfect. Even it's so called flaws were turned into gold imo. It's in my top 5 science fiction shows and top 20 shows of all time.
Colin Ferguson was awesome in that he was able to do physical comedy which felt real enough while being over the top funny and as such was the perfect fit for the character. My only complaint about the show was they kept trying to one up itself so by the end it didn't feel the same as it did in the first few seasons.
@@Tasarran Yes and I think they knew it when they did that. I think they did it because they realized that they were rapidly running out of things that they could do before people started to really question why this incredibly dangerous town is allowed to continue to threaten the entire world's safety. I personally hated the time travel arc, and the stuff that came after it wasn't that great, but wasn't particularly horrible.
Eureka was one of the few shows that used time travel as believable as possible. Plus, that episode changed the entire series and the characters' relationships, for the rest of the series. They were never able to go back and change the events back to normal. A fantastic way to revitalize a series - essentially make it into another series.
They did time travel in season one and almost destroyed the town. Other than the writers running out of ideas, the show shouldn’t have retreaded an old plot line to revitalize the show.
@@crashconstructionunfiltere3829 - That's what typically happens with shows that have great writing - they have to keep thinking up better and better stories to keep up the great standard they set. They may not of "had to" do it, but it was a great way to change the characters and keeping audience interest.
@@Ddoc080 that was cool show! The episode i remember most is one with a cursed pool stick, and the guy had to unalive people with it before he could use it to win pool games.
The tone of Eureka sort of reminds me of the tone of Scrubs but with Sci-Fi elements instead of medical. The reason I say it is this because the show could be funny but then just hit you with the feels out of no where.
As much as I love Eureka it is no Scrubs. I can't think of a single emotional moment in Eureka that comes even close to some of Scrubs' highpoints like Cox's breakdown at the end of "My Lunch", both parts of "My Finale", or "Where do you think we are?".
My tween and I have been watching this for over a year. He's 11 so it's hard to find something we both enjoy. Eureka is so great, the highlight of my day with my son.
I absolutely love this show. This and Psych are 2 of my favorite shows of all time. I binge it probably once a year. On Season 4 now. I would love to see it come back even for a limited run. It had such great characters, comedy, and heart. It's rare to find a show like this nowadays.

What I loved was the interconnected nature of the show with other Sci-Fi shows. Haven't finished the video at this point but Syfy had it's own Marvel style universe and they didn't even appreciate it. Alphas, Warehouse 13 and Eureka all had crossover episodes and all technically take place in the same universe. I also remember the painful bits like when Syfy wanted more money so they pimped the show out and had corporate sponsers for projects in Eureka. But still it was a great time. Fargo showed up on Warehouse 13 to fix some of the tech and the main male lead on Warehouse 13 had basically a superpower for danger that made him an Alpha.
Words can't express my love for this show, i formed an emotional attachment to it , it legit got me out of a very very dark time. I'll always love this show just wish we got more seasons, I hate when good shows die early
My daughter named our Golden Retriever "Fargo" after Douglas. She had no idea it was a city in North Dakota, she just loved that character so much. So did I - loved the acting, the quirkiness, and even grew to love the "timer" that exists in every episode. We turned it into a game - started taking bets on when they were going to activate the timer and how much time would be left when they solved the issue.
When SyFy axed the Stargate franchise many fans assumed that it was for the Eureka/Warhouse 13 universe which was getting popular at that time...then they did the same thing to Warehouse 13 / Eureka I have not watched a single show on SyFY since then. I got sick of being burned over and over and over again. That network does NOT understand SyFy fans. Their attitude at the time (and probably still today was) yes we are cancelling your show but we got all these other shows! That's not the point. Fans of a show/franchise are NOT fans of the network they are on.

Eureka was canceled because they ran out of things to do with the town. Even the soft reboot of the time travel plot line wasn't enough to open it up for continuing the series.
Eureka and Farscape are my 2 favorite sci-fi shows ever. Eureka was great at many things, not least of which was casting superb actors in guest roles. I recently did an X-Files rewatch and was startled to see so many actors I knew from Eureka doing their time in that show.
I totally agree, love this show. Every month or two I watch the whole series all over again on Amazon Prime. The show leaves you with a happy feeling, during COVID this is a God send.
Ran across it only a few years ago, and absolutely loved it. Utterly original and well put together in every way. I need to go back and watch so many episodes that I haven't seen yet You inspired me to do this. A lost gem!!
No, you weren't exaggerating on how special 'Eureka' was to its fans. A true gem of a television program, Northern Exposure meets the Manhattan Project. Unpredictable plots, eccentric characters, scientifically very savvy, thought provoking ideas as well as providing the viewer madcap comedy. I've turned on so many of my friends to this show (when it was still was on the air) and most if not all, fell in love with it after just watching the first two or three episodes. The only show that came close to its unique blend of zany fun, inventiveness and action sci-fi was NBC's 'Chuck'. There hasn't been anything on TV like either of these two unforgettable shows since.
Eureaka reminded me a lot of Fringe! and I remember Warehouse 13, which was also very similar, Eureka was about future inventions all going wrong, while warehouse13 was all about ancient artifacts all going wrong! Fringe was about everything from past/present/future all going wrong because of interdimensional time travellers! However my main grief is the loss of Firefly! At least our fan community got together and got a final movie made! Serenity :o)
I loved Eureka! I started watching during the first season about 3 episodes in and was immediately hooked. I rediscovered it on Amazon Prime and have watched it at least 3 times because you can still enjoy it even knowing the plotline. I know that a reboot is probably never going to happen but even a movie would be great. Thanks for the video!
Great video, I love Eureka watched it during the original run and have probably binge-watched it at least 3 times since the Cancellation, and Warehouse 13 was awesome as well SYFY needs to bring back classics like that
One of the best shows ever on TV!! It was/is a show you can watch over and over again and enjoy it every time, and see something new each time to. I miss this show and all the other wonderful stuff they had at the time. Eureka, Warehouse 13 (which so many have mentioned), Fringe, Sanctuary, PSY Factor (another Matt Fewer masterpiece), Haven ohhh man the list goes on. Thanks for doing this, I think I'm going to go watch me some Eureka :)
I just watched the series again last year.. and this makes me want to watch it again!! I actually got to meet Allison Scagliotti from Warehouse 13 who guest started on the show 1 episode but so much was made out about the relationship Fargo had with her until Felicia Day showed up. This show never gets old!
I re-watch this show every so often. I just started again showing my girlfriend the first episode. Love this show. The chemistry between the characters in the first few seasons was incredible. Carter, Allison, Zoe, Henry, Stark, Lupo, and Fargo is just sooo good. Best episode for me was hands down “I Do Over”.
Oh, my god!!! Dyson, the guy who's going to create skynet lives in the town!!! I actually hadn't forgotten this show existed, I just didn't know it existed... Also, still waiting on the Millennium episode before we arrive to the apocalypse of our own creation. Thanx!!!
I would always see the previews of Eureka while watching Stargate, but never started watching the show until season 4. I was hooked from that time on and wish I would have started watching it earlier. And Colin Ferguson is great on everything I've seen him on.
I found Eureka mid 2nd season ..... i have since watched the full series no less than 15 times... i will (at times) put it on while im working and watch it all within a weekend (give or take a day) lol... I simply LOVE EuRekA ..
Thanks for this, Eureka was and still is, one of my fav shows ever. I can watch the show whenever I want, I have all 5 seasons on DVD. And like you I miss the show.
God I love Eureka!! My grandpa watched it with my mom and I watched it with her last year and it not only taught me more about my grandpa, it gave me so much joy and Im so sad noone else I’m friends with knows it
Oooh, @JoBlo Originals, you tryin' to mess with our hearts with this one. When Quinn's character vapourised, I actually cried. My late husband and I used to watch regularly, then lost track, as his liver failure kept us in hospitals. We also watched that cartoon, "Gargoyles," highly recommended, as well as I watched the live action, "Black Lightening," not the cartoon, after my husband died. So many interconnected life events with shows. I always thought I would go back and catch up, but channels put things behind pay walls, and when one has bills to pay, we forget beloved old shows. Oh, and I also loved "Northern Exposure," so much I once bought a book about it when I worked for Barnes & Noble. My parents used to watch it when I was a teenager. I never knew Eureka took actual inspiration from NE.
I actually felt bad for Colin Ferguson. maybe 6mo to a year later I saw him doing commercials for Maytag playing....wait for it. the Maytag repairman. I thought the poor guy went from the lead on a great syfy (haha!) scifi series.
Eureka was awesome, amazing and incredible. I wasn't sure about the show until half way through the first season and then I was hooked . The cast was awesome and the writing was something we may never seen again on network TV. Collin was pure joy to watch and his comic timing was truly amazing. I have Bing watched the show several times and each time I laugh and I cry . There are few shows that need to be brought back .....farscape , Stargate sg1 , warehouse 13 and eureka are at the top of my list .
my favourite character was fargo, and i loved the way they subtly linked warehouse 13 and eureka with fargo and claudia as love interests. many actors in eureka appeared in warehouse 13. i literally could not have survived lockdown without these two shows (and the librarians, another 'syfy' show with crossovers with these shows)
Good info. I didn't watch the show when it was first aired. I later got it on DVD from the library and just binge watched it. I didn't know the series was cancelled, I just thought it ran its course.
I noticed you kept on showing footage of Saul Rubinek, but you never made mention that on top of being a great show, Eureka helped to spawn a (short-lived) shared universe of shows including Warehouse 13 and Alphas
I loved the episode with the swarm of nano "bugs", and the implementation of the the fusion powered walk-in freezer at the diner. 0 degrees Kelvin in 0.8 seconds.
I love Eureka, but NOTHING compares to the missed opportunity with The Expanse. TE is the best Sci fi show that nobody saw. It is a next level story, acting, writing, etc. Eureka is a hidden gem of fun, TE is just S-tier level Sci Fi.
I've admired this show so much I'm surely going to start it over for the 6th time when my kids are old enough to sit and pay attention. That theme song is so comforting and nostalgic. 💜
There are 2 other shows around this time which would fit this Gone by Not Forgotten which are Warehouse 13 and Haven. There is also Sanctuary, primeval: New World which is a spinoff of another show Primeval, Lost Girl, Defiance, Continuum, Bitten, Andromeda, and 12 Monkeys.
I didn't start watching Eureka until after it was off the air. I watched the first two episodes and immediately bought all seasons off Amazon Prime. Binge watched the hell out of it, and still watch it through from time to time. It's a great show. One of the best lines of the show came from Stark to Fargo. "Keep pushing buttons Fargo!" It perfectly emphasizes Fargo's curiosity of the world around him, and that he's not just some flunky, but a true scientist despite his bad luck.
I"d seen Colin Ferguson in a movie a couple of weeks before. Then I happened to be flipping through channels and saw his face on syfy channel and decided to see what the show was about. Luckily for me it was the pilot and was hooked from that moment. To the point that I've re-watch the show 2 times in a row on my rokue tv. Re-watching it again. I would wait faithfully every summer for Euerka, warehouse 13 and Haven to come on, wishing they would make these shows regular shows that would start in September with more episodes. Maybe someone needs to start a new channel and reboot this shows.
I found this show on Amazon Prime and was able to binge-watch all the seasons. Things always got real confusing at the beginning of each episode but then Henry Deacon shows up and makes sense of what's going on. I agree, he definitely was the best character.
Eureka was a great show. I used to watch it but like a lot of good SCI FI it suffered the fate of network executives who only want to chase the almighty dollar.
11:28 I remember an episode when they were halucinating and when asked "Baltar" says he halucinated about a "Tall leggy blonde, skimpy red dress" alluding to Tricia Helfer's chatracter(s?) in BSG re imagined It actually took me a "while" to figure that one out... I loved the christmas specials. Gods I miss this show. Though it could potentially come back...
I absolutely love EUREKA on the Sci-Fi Channel -- That's right! I refuse to say "SyFy." It's just wrong on so many levels. That said, I'm happy that EUREKA and WAREHOUSE 13 are available on Peacock. I love both shows.
Another Friday night favorite I watched with dear ole dad. Good show without all the complications of modern media. Just fun to watch. I also feel your pain about the OG Sci-fi channels demise to whatever the hell they do now.
The best episodes of _Eureka_ were the Christmas episodes, especially the one where the entire cast got turned into cartoon and 3-D clay-mation figures.
Everyone in the town of Eureka is uncommonly good at something. In Jack's case, they figure out he's uncommonly good at common sense, so they bring him on board.
Absolutely one of my favorite shows. Also one of the reasons I didn’t give the expanse a shot when it first came out on sci fi. They cancel great shows just when they really get going.
I loved how the warehouse 13 and eureka are linked! Could have gone more into it with shows in UK, Australia, Japan and more! So many crossovers and large stories
My favorite show of all time. I’ve rewatched it like four times. This era of the SYFY channel was its own golden age of television. I used to dislike Zoe but she became the best character in the end. She was the “every teen” in this world of genius. We got to see what it was like to grow up in this town. I will agree that I think they kind of got confused as to what to do with her. I think had she started younger, like 12, and ended at high school graduation it would have been easier to have her grow as a character. Yes. Zane was awful. Joe and Fargo had more chemistry and that would have been an amazing match.
How can you skip over Taggart talking about the supporting characters?! LOL! Love this series and the supporting cast that fleshes out the town is definitely one of the highlights. I would love to have even a limited series sequel showing where the town has ended up since the finale.

Is it on any streaming service? I loved this show back then
Still haven't finished season 5. Because then it would be over. I've been putting it off for ten years now ^^
I don't understand why people do this. In that I don't see the point. Everything ends.
My wife and I binge watch this show at least once a year. We love it!
Oh, my god!!! Dyson, the guy who's going to create skynet lives in the town!!!
I actually hadn't forgotten this show existed, I just didn't know it existed...
Also, still waiting on the Millennium episode before we arrive to the apocalypse of our own creation. Thanx!!!
One of my favorites of all time. Loved the entire cast. The Ex-files was one of my favorite. The scenes with Nathan and Carter were awesome.
You didn't mention at the end Jack's successful career as Maytag
I should have ended with his hallmark movies
Don't forget a season of Haven.
He deserves a lot better of a acting gig than pretending to be a appliance. I saw that commercial & was like ugg why dude?
@@ubercoo Those commercials make quite a bit of money.
He’s doing mostly hallmark movies now
Hey, he's getting steady work, and I'm sure it pays better than a 9 to 5.
Maytag paid him a hefty sum for those commercials. He was hired because of Eureka.
I loved seeing him in those commercials.
He was a mannequin model before the show.
Eureka and Warehouse 13 are both 1st rate and our family is addicted (we’ve watched Eureka all seasons 3-4 times)…love it!
One of the best shows for balancing great characters, tense sequences and comedy. I will always love Eureka.
my favourite character was fargo, and i loved the way they subtly linked warehouse 13 and eureka with fargo and claudia as love interests. many actors in eureka appeared in warehouse 13. i literally could not have survived lockdown without these two shows (and the librarians, another 'syfy' show with crossovers with these shows)
Good info. I didn't watch the show when it was first aired. I later got it on DVD from the library and just binge watched it. I didn't know the series was cancelled, I just thought it ran its course.
I loved this show. Can´t wait for Warehouse 13
I absolutely loved this show and Wharehouse 13. I have rewatched both several times. Well worth it.
I noticed you kept on showing footage of Saul Rubinek, but you never made mention that on top of being a great show, Eureka helped to spawn a (short-lived) shared universe of shows including Warehouse 13 and Alphas
Aw man, I forgot about Alphas! Why do they take away all the good things??
You reopened my Alphas wound lol
I loved the episode with the swarm of nano "bugs", and the implementation of the the fusion powered walk-in freezer at the diner. 0 degrees Kelvin in 0.8 seconds.
Did you also watch warehouse 13?
Eureka and w13 are a shared universe
Also a terrific show!
I watched Eureka from the beginning and bought every season as they came out I will have to watch the whole series again.
Just rewatched a little while ago. Still just as good. Love this show.
Wish writing for TV shows were as creative now.
I love Eureka, but NOTHING compares to the missed opportunity with The Expanse. TE is the best Sci fi show that nobody saw. It is a next level story, acting, writing, etc. Eureka is a hidden gem of fun, TE is just S-tier level Sci Fi.
60 seconds in and I have decided to watch this show
I loved this show so much, it was so much fun going over to my brother's to watch it when it aired. Thanks for the video!
Great show.
Quirky, funny, thoughtful, and emotional.
I've admired this show so much I'm surely going to start it over for the 6th time when my kids are old enough to sit and pay attention. That theme song is so comforting and nostalgic. 💜
I enjoyed this show so much! Lol Jo Lupo was my first crush
Loved both "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka"
I miss Eureka... It was such an amazing show.
Start of the year I visited my dad, and while I was visiting my dad I started watching Eureka, and I enjoyed it.
Loved Eureka. And its character crossovers with Warehouse 13.
This is like the 10th time I'm rewatching the series. It's too good.
Was 12 Monkeys originally on SciFi? It's been so long, it stands alone in my mind.😄 But, at least it was allowed to end properly. A great recommend.
@@kflowers8276 I watched it on Hulu
@@reginaldkelly4269 Yeah, there and Netflix originally, is where I've done my rewatches. 👍🏾
I didn't start watching Eureka until after it was off the air. I watched the first two episodes and immediately bought all seasons off Amazon Prime. Binge watched the hell out of it, and still watch it through from time to time. It's a great show.
One of the best lines of the show came from Stark to Fargo.
"Keep pushing buttons Fargo!"
It perfectly emphasizes Fargo's curiosity of the world around him, and that he's not just some flunky, but a true scientist despite his bad luck.
One of the best sci-fi do shows ever!!! I miss it.
I have watched the entire series so many times I know every episode the clips were pulled from for this video. Absolutely love this show.
I loved this show, it was so great. I watch it again from time to time...
Eureka was 10/10 the ending was perfect! It still brings tears to my eyes thinking about how they ended it.
I LOVED that show!!! I’ve watched the series several times. ❤
Everyone in the town of Eureka is uncommonly good at something. In Jack's case, they figure out he's uncommonly good at common sense, so they bring him on board.
Yes, also acting as a crash test dummy.
Absolutely, hands down, my FAVORITE T.V. show.
This was a great show. I've rewatched the whole series several times.
I loved this show and discount Tom Jane
Still one to binge over and over. Would pay good money to see a show half as thought out, humorous, and dramatic. I hope someone is listening.
I loved Taggert but I don’t remember him being around for all that long after a few seasons.
How can you skip over Taggart talking about the supporting characters?! LOL! Love this series and the supporting cast that fleshes out the town is definitely one of the highlights. I would love to have even a limited series sequel showing where the town has ended up since the finale.
Sarah will forever be my dream house. And she can sound like Fargo.
I always loathed AI concept shows & themes but Sarah was admittedly hard to hate.
