    That prototype looks like something that could have been 3D printed. How do they know the seller didn't produce it himself?

      Prototypes would have dates stamped & such on them,

      There are lots of repeat customers on the show. I don't know what you mean by "fake". You know this is a TV show, right? The producers obviously screen candidates to be on it.
