It was on September 11 1683 that the conquering armies of Islam were met, held, and thrown back at the gates of Vienna. In the Islamic world, and especially among the extremists, that date is remembered as a humiliation in itself so choosing September 11 was basically "retribution" for the past humiliation in their eyes. I personally don't know it's just something i read written by an Islamic journalist.

Still remember this like it was yesterday. Everyone who remembers it happening remembers exactly where they were at that time. I was 21 years olds and I was in R.S components in Nuneaton, England picking up some electrical parts for a job we had on. And I remember seeing it happen on the T.V in the reception area, then when I got into my car, it was literally on every radio channel, and my friend rang me and said “you heard what’s happening to the World Trade centres in New York”? Buddy this is going to cause world war 3.”
I still remember that day. I was in 5th grade, I was very nervous because I forgot to do my homework. But the teacher just turned on the TV and we watched the news of the plane hitting one of the towers. We had these kids that came from rough side of the neighborhood and they acted tough. They cracked jokes, at the time before we know, about people jumping from the tower. Then, it happened. Live on TV. The second plane hit the second tower. My teacher, many students gasp in shock and were frozen at what had transpire. Then, I looked at the tough kids that made jokes, everyone else were looking at them. They tried to hide behind their hoodies. Later, one by one parents were picking up their kids. I spent the rest of the day in downtown San Antonio at the old radio station. Friends of the family trying to explain to me and my siblings on what was going on
They hostestly could still rebuild them bc they have enough room for World Trade Center from the one word trade center but they prob won’t rebuild them unless some rich dude pays for the construction

While I recall the weather on 9/11 being blue skies and so clear and amazing, I don't recall the weather the day before. Seems according to this it was dreary, rainy, cloudy....an eerie foreshadowing of things to come.

Now 20 years later on March 13, 2020, COVID ended up ended the 2010s culture and help kickstart the 2020s culture. I was supposed to graduate in 2020 which didn’t happen due to Covid, and the last day I remember being at school was Friday March 13, 2020. While 9/10 was the last normal day for people then, Friday the 13th of March was the last normal day for me.

Thousands of people went to bed that rainy night to die on the most beautiful day.
