If you play this map after Ch 11, your available resources will not necessarily be stronger, but have some fundamental differences. There aren't any huge movement boosting tools like Gallop or Warp Ragnarok, so you won't be able to get so far forward quite so early. However, you can still can get the jump on a faraway Phantom Wyrm once per engage cycle using Astra Storm, and your more developed army and access to units with significantly higher personal stats should let you push past enemy formations fast enough to keep a winning pace. There's also the Ch 12 Warp staff and Ch 13 Rescue staff you can use to jump units forward, which you can rest assured using because you get a second copy of each this map.
If you play on Normal/Hard, then the enemy formations are actually a bit different, and in a potentially more challenging way. The Wyrms behind the walls in the central hallway are placed further north, with extra mages taking their place. There's more Thieves to fight through, and an extra Wyrm in the northwestern chamber. Enemy quality is much lower though, so you should be able to fight through enemy formations faster, and leaving a Wyrm alive on enemy phase should be less punishing. The Martial Monks also only have Silence, so you don't need to worry about leaving someone behind to draw their Freeze. The eastern Martial Monk even drops a Physic, and if you're confident with having one less unit in the north, you can have a flier stay behind for the rest of the map to defeat them.

Commenting Fast so I don't have to deal with the reinforcements

Oh my goodness this is top tier engaging… just purely good gameplay, good strategy! Ugh I love that this vid actually burns through engage meters so much, I think I and a lot of players struggle a lot with maddening because we don’t engage enough, even though the game actually puts quite a lot of refills around the maps! It’s similar to hoarding weapon uses…
I would love to see you do this for the other paralogues, I’m really bad at them 😭 IIRC they all have reinforcements, but Chrom, Camilla, and Hectors come to mind as heavy reinforcement maps.
Again, this was very impressive! I’m a sucker for purely good gameplay like this because I don’t yet have the mindset to set simple stuff like this up lol

I played this map recently after completing chapter 7 for 2 bow users, and I got such a lucky Radiant Bow drop from the well right before going into the chapter. I carved through those Wyverns like butter

    Queen W as usual
It would be cool to see more videos similar to this especially for the other DLC maps I think (hopefully others too) find to be absolute pains, in my case it's Chroms and Camillas

While I've played Tiki's paralogue several times I've actually only done the others once, but I would like to look into Chrom's more. Seems like there's a similar issue of getting caught up fighting reinforcements in that one, and you could breeze through it if you know the reinforcement triggers and figure out an aggressive approach.

Wanted to pull an atrocity and run a sage Alear. Which needs Tiki pretty early to fix stats xD. Thanks for this guide!

I love the ice tiles as a mechanic from this map, I wish there was a way to use these tiles outside of this map. I know Camilla dragon vein can make them, but I dont think its worth a player phase action on qi adept/dragon units, maybe a stave could place them or an ice tome could cast a + or 3x3 square around you/the enemy you hit as a second effect? A staff or secondary effect of obstruct would be ideal, it could be a ranged mini stride for grounded units 😍

I know I've had the same thought of not wanting to waste Camilla on a mini stride, despite it sounding so cool 😭 I'll have to just get over it one run and put her on a pure utility Martial Master/Enchanter.

I'd love more Engage deepdives. I decided to test myself with Maddening on my first run but it would be nice to know more for future playthroughs.

Yeah I don't think Maddening is too rough compared to other top difficulty modes, but getting more familiar with the game certainly helps to have fun with new strats.

@@queenlyarts Yeah I can see that. My run is on pause bc I was struggling with Eirika's paralogue a little and I wanted to play other stuff, but it's really not that bad in my experience. I actually had a lot of fun with a few maps like 11 which I've heard be described as some of the most difficult ones
