Enjoyed seeing your shoes. ❤ For sandals, I have been a Birkenstock girl since the 80s. I need the wider fit. Have a couple of pairs of Mephisto Niro mesh shoes. Good for days when it's hot but my pedicure is not sandal ready. Agree that New Balance has great sneakers. Was professionally fit, and they recommended New Balance. Also like Skechers slip ins. Pet peeve: as someone who needs a wide fit, I wish shoe manufacturers would recognize we wide foot girls like cute shoes too! Too often, a shoe comes in great colours and patterns, but wide shoes - black and white only.
New balance 860 and Teva hurricane sandals are just a few shoes that still work for me, after 13 foot surgeries. Not the most stylish, but they allow me to keep walking about 10,000 steps a day.
Thanks for these tips. I learned some things, for sure. Shoes have evolved for people with larger/wider feet. I remember in the ‘90s shopping at Payless Shoes and seeing all the cute designs dwindle the higher the sizes got. By the time I found the 9/10 aisle, there was nothing but bunny slippers and combat boots. And may I say that the color you’re wearing in this video is fantastic on you.
I’m an On-Cloud girl as well. My adult daughter recommended them and I have two pair (different styles). I use them for dog walking and supermarket shopping. Very supportive and comfortable. You do, though, feel as if you’re walking on a cloud (a bit squishy) and not everyone likes that feeling!!
I just found your channel. I’m in my 60’s and this year have needed supportive sandals and shoes as I have been suffering with Plantar Fasciitis and it’s finally getting better. I was watching the Shopping Channel, I too live in Canada. Ontario, and they had Vionic sandals. I didn’t get a pair but now am thinking of it. I have Clark’s and Sketchers they are comfy. Thank you.
I love RYKA’s too. I do remove the insoles and add some with better arch support for my sad feet though. Like New Balance, they are a bit wider in the toe box and fit well.
I’m going to have to get some On Cloud shoes. I have been wanting some for a few years. But I know they will get dirty and nasty where I live. But if they can be washed I could do it. My husband will have a fit at the price. But my 65th birthday is coming up next month. And I’m going to get them. He’s going to tell me I have to keep them forever. I’ve seen other people on You Tube showing people in Europe wearing white sneakers everywhere. So it’s not just tourists. This was a great video. I had plantar fasciitis too. I even have a brace I was supposed to sleep in. I couldn’t sleep in that clunky thing. But when I can tell my foot is hurting, I put that thing on for a while. And it still helps. I wear mainly Clark flip flop shoes. But my older pairs have much more support than the newer ones I bought. After wearing the newer ones my feet were killing me. So they will probably stay in my closet. And I will buy a different black sandal. I need a lot of support. I ruined my feet when I was younger buying cheap shoes and wearing them. So I’m paying for it now.
Hi Cathy! Clarks shoe have been a mainstay for years. The quality isn’t as good as it used to be due to high inflation, everybody’s trying to make cheap quality and still raise the price, but Clarks are comfortable. I also like Vionic.
I am 67 and i live in Merrell sandals. I try to get in 10,000 steps as much as possible, and do that in my Merrells. They aren't as stylish as my heels, but with age DOES come wisdom. Great video, as always.
All great looking shoes here’s 3 other brands you might like. I have sand foot problems except in size 7/7.5 I have found the brand orthofeet , JBU and Brooks shoes orthofeet I can wear without exchanging their orthotics for mine same with JBU I buy those for summer shoes .. love my bionic sandals and on shoes too
Hi Cathy! I wrecked my feet working in a dressy, corporate office for many decades, always in pumps with 3" heels. Walked miles in this style. So sandals are in my distant past, unless they have a lot of coverage, like a fisherman style. So sad, because I like sandals! Like you, I need a few more options for spring and summer because I gravitate toward my Sperry's and Vionic beach shoes. Believe it or not, I'm still wearing pumps when I'm dressed up, just down to a 2 to 2 1/2" heel. 🙄 I needed the reminder to branch out!
My top 5: 1. FitFlop Lulu thongs ( I have 5). 2. Aetrex Kelly thong sandal (A new recent find) 3. Brook’s Ghost walking shoe (you should always get 1/2 up for walking shoes). 4. Hoka recovery slide 3 (Use as house shoe, never go bare foot, the best for planter fasciitis). 5. Hoka Bondi walking shoes (ordered but have not worn yet).
Hello Cathy. I have a lot of trouble buying shoes because my feet are so darned narrow. Dressy shoes are the hardest! At least nowadays there are such cute, stylish runners and they are even worn with casual dresses. Enjoyed this video!
Love your top❤️Not a fan of any of the sandals or shoes. I have good feet no problems. Not a fan of any flat shoes. I’m only 5’5 in. Way to short. Love me a wedge or a heel!
You remind me of my sister she is 5'2 and lives in flats while I'm 5'10 and consider 3 inch heels my every day comfortable shoes at age 50 I may live to regret that choice but I have a very high arch and they really are the most comfortable for me I usually get foot cramps in flats.
After 3 foot surgeries I can no longer wear sandals or anything to expose my toes. On shoes have been my salvation! I love yours in all white! I have a pair of navy and another in black. I am experimenting with flats and slingbacks, and wish for basic black pumps with kitten or low heels. Thank you for this video! But where is your lipstick? Usually you pick such pretty colors. Thanks for all you do!
Well I have a lot of the same shoes as you. My podiatrist put me in the new balance shoes because of stability and wider toe box. I love the vionics and vivaias. I have tried the hokas and they are supportive. The mephistos I have never tried. I will order me a pair of the helena sandals to try. Thank you for all the information you share. I really enjoy your videos.
I have bad knees. 5 surgeries & 1 replacement. 1st operation at 16. Had to go many yrs until old enough to have enough years of benefit. Now 78. Shoes are a problem - must have enough support, be comfortable and easy to put on. I cannot reach down far enough to do up laces or velcro. Surely I am not the only one with this problem. Dr Scholl's used to be made with enough toe room. When taken over toe material was pulled down over toes, instead of like a loafer toe. Could not be comfortable in them for an evening out or afternoon shopping. Only loafer that was really comfortable was from Sears. They had good support, thicker leather, good soles. Had 2 pairs which lasted 20 years. By then Sears did not make them with as much quality. I do not have a lot if money to buy many pairs. Would a Memphis to loafer or sandal be supportive enough? Would I have to get many pairs to find comfortable ones. I tend to love ballerina flats around home, loafers in black or beige for going out and medical appointments. Or special outings. Knees are bad so long that hips wore out have I replacement and need the other one done. I was quite active when younger and do not feel as old as my years. Your channel is great for helping explain how new styles fit. I cannot shop for long hours to find best fit for me. I still sew but cannot try on styles like before. You are a blessing for this help. Thank you!
I like New Balance. I haven’t been able to wear Nike shoes. They are too small for me. ASICS work well for me too. Alegeria (spelling?) are my all time favorite shoes. Excellent video. 💞🌼
Nowadays it seems I look at shoes as:”Would these do well for a trip”?! Must be comfy above all! Stylish is just a bonus. No heels now I’m older, but I still have them….why?!!🤣
I have large narrow feet and just had a shot for plantars - Working with a foot surgeon the best for my feet Sandals- SAS - Brooks for walking Merril Slip on Clog I use an insert by power step- No heels and Absolutely never bare feet
Hi Cathy. Would you mind sharing the color and brand of your nail color. I just love it because it is so neutral and feminine. Thank you. I’m waiting for my Mephisto sandals - I can’t wait to get them. Sending hugs. ❤️
Great video on shoes. I just bought vionic a few days ago, the showstopper on tsc .they are slide on sandals, i feel i can't wear tongs anymore and i do have plantar fasciitis. Please share how you got rid of yours.
I have a few Vionic shoes. I have wide feet (ww) with a high instep and arch. It is such a pain trying to find good shoes. My go to sneakers are from Orthofeet. My heels (short) for work and my sandals I buy from SAS.
I have two pairs of the Kita hands-free sneaker. One pair for exercise and one pair for daily use/vacation etc. I love them. Their WW width are great and I find they support my high arch.
Shoes are a matter of individual style and foot shape. I don’t think that I could wear any of the shoes that you showed, especially anything with a piece between my toes as my toes are very close together. I buy all my sandals from Naot which are comfortable and good quality but also stylish.
@@laylalovely3076 I think my feet are closer to medium with narrow ankles.. My Naot sandals are very adjustable . both the strap across the top and the front strap are adjustable.
I never wear shoes inside the house. Not only are you tracking dust, dirt and allergens in, but people with no manners spit in the grocery store parking lot and you’re walking through that, too. Europeans have been wearing a white sneakers with their dresses for at least 2 years. Now they’re wearing those awful 70s tennis shoes with the big bar stripe down the side. If you check some of the style trend channels from the UK and France, they’ve posted on that recently. Didn’t wear them when I was a kid in the 70s and they’re still ugly in my opinion. Love this aspect of showing what you have and actually use, instead of just going over what might be trending on Pinterest and be impossible to wear in real life! Thank you.
I had PF really bad about 10 years ago. My podiatrist sil did acupuncture on me. Followed by warm compresses three times a day for a week. GONE!!! I have trained my feet to wear shoes that bend easily (Lems, Tieks, Sam Eddleman flat sandles…) the podiatrist said you should be able to feel the ground and not fall as you age.
@@StyleWithCathy I wear clarkes all winter long in Minnesota - also forgot about these for summer shoe options Naot sandals are really nice and last a long time - I've had some for over 10 years , but our summers are short - I have a back injury and 2 worn out knees so footwear is important
There are lots of shoes that are comfortable and good for foot problems and pain, but that do not make you look “old”. I have flat feet, plantar fasciitis, etc, but do not own a single pair of shoes that make my feet look older than I am…no fisherman or big buckles, etc. Stylish shoes are available for all kinds of feet…and wedges are excellent if you don’t want heels, although heels don’t have to be 4” to be comfy. Just look and research, the results will be worth it.
As much as I appreciate that, and I love watching your videos. I don’t have flat feet. I don’t know many people that have flat, completely flat feet. I need shoes to have some kind of support and quite honestly even sandals or wedges have some sort of stack and support. Watching your reviews on the outfits of thick like that because I have bought a lot of things that you’ve liked as well. But as a professional office worker. It’s just not my style to wear a dress or a suit with flats it might be for some people, but it’s not for me.
Her channel is style OVER 50. Many of us older gals are unable to wear sexy trending shoes anymore. There are hundreds of channels that cater to trending styles, so feel free to check them out and share your comments there.
Any shoe but tennis shoes they are just plain ugly! Never wear them I’ll go bare foot before I would were sloppy tennis shoes. That’s just me I love classy shoes.

Enjoyed seeing your shoes. ❤
For sandals, I have been a Birkenstock girl since the 80s.
You look fabulous!! These are stylish shoes, and your choices are so helpful. 🩵
Hi Cathy!
Thank you for your suggestions for shoes. They all look comfortable!!
New balance 860 and Teva hurricane sandals are just a few shoes that still work for me, after 13 foot surgeries. Not the most stylish, but they allow me to keep walking about 10,000 steps a day.
Hi Cathy. Great to see you. Thank you for showing us some cute and comfy shoes. Happy Mother’s Day ❤️
Thank you! You too!
Hi Cathy, i have had good luck wearing keds, the slip on ones look great with jeans, shorts and dresses
I just bought a pair of Keds to wear this summer but like you, I prefer sandals. So comfy and carefree! Great video! Thanks for sharing! Take care!
Thanks for these tips. I learned some things, for sure. Shoes have evolved for people with larger/wider feet. Great video! I do like the Birkenstocks and vionic sandals for the summer
Love your channel, Cathy! 🎉
Thank you so much!
yes love new balance too
Mephisto, Merrill and Eco are the best for overall travel and you and find dressier styles.
Excellent choices very helpful, thank you!
I love the classy loafers, and the mules with the metal bar. Not plain or boring. ❤❤❤
Perfect timing. I am in the process of researching and looking for some good summer sandals.
Research Clark’s. I broke my foot and, for years, couldn’t wear sandals. My friend gave me a pair of Clarks Cloudsteppers, and they’re great.
The Hykes Pinnacle are soo comfy

Agree. Have a funny shaped foot, narrow heel and wide toe area. So New Balance is perfect because of the wide toe box.

Great Video Cathy. You continue to look amazing💜

Have you tried Fitt flops. High end sandals i love them
No, thank you for the recommendation.

Hi Cathy. Would you mind sharing the color and brand of your nail color. I just love it because it is so neutral and feminine. Thank you. I’m waiting for my Mephisto sandals - I can’t wait to get them. Sending hugs. ❤️
Hi Gina, I’m sorry I don’t know the colour as I had my nails done at a salon. The brand is CND gel polish. Enjoy your sandals.
Arch support, is the curve part of the shoe.
They may look a bit outdated however, COMFORT is preferable ❤
Great video on shoes. I just bought vionic a few days ago, the showstopper on tsc .they are slide on sandals, i feel i can't wear tongs anymore and i do have plantar fasciitis. Please share how you got rid of yours.
I didn't do anything, it went away after about a year of pain. It was horrible!
I have a few Vionic shoes. I have wide feet (ww) with a high instep and arch. It is such a pain trying to find good shoes. My go to sneakers are from Orthofeet. My heels (short) for work and my sandals I buy from SAS.
I love Orthofeet!
I’ve been looking at Orthofeet for good walking shoes/sneakers…is there a style you like?
I have two pairs of the Kita hands-free sneaker. One pair for exercise and one pair for daily use/vacation etc. I love them. Their WW width are great and I find they support my high arch.

I don’t think any of these shoes look old. They are all stylish looking.
Ms. Kathy, do you wear shoe inserts ? If yes, which brand ? Thank You
I bought a pair of Vionic inserts to wear on a trip last year but as a rule, no I don't wear shoe inserts.
Shoes are a matter of individual style and foot shape. I don’t think that I could wear any of the shoes that you showed, especially anything with a piece between my toes as my toes are very close together. I buy all my sandals from Naot which are comfortable and good quality but also stylish.

Just spent 25 days in Europe and greece in my Tevas 18000 to 22000 steps a day!

Thank you.
Love your Galbots balls. You have a great shoe repitaur. You don’t have to have a lot of shoes.
I had PF really bad about 10 years ago. My podiatrist sil did acupuncture on me. Followed by warm compresses three times a day for a week. GONE!!!
I have trained my feet to wear shoes that bend easily (Lems, Tieks, Sam Eddleman flat sandles…) the podiatrist said you should be able to feel the ground and not fall as you age.
also consider keen and clarkes
I just ordered a pair of Clark sandals. I am excited to try them.
@@StyleWithCathy I wear clarkes all winter long in Minnesota - also forgot about these for summer shoe options Naot sandals are really nice and last a long time - I've had some for over 10 years , but our summers are short - I have a back injury and 2 worn out knees so footwear is important
Do you know if the Mephisto’s are waterproof?
I don’t know. My sandals aren’t.
It is called arch support.
My feet thank you :-)
The extra toe space is a tripping hazard for me. Eek.
They are form fitting shoes, made for the beach people.
I’m happy with my choices.
I can’t see those Tory Burch flat sandals to be comfortable at all , there’s not support or cushioning on them
I like them.
@@StyleWithCathy me too 😊, you are lucky to be able to wear them!
I think it’s pronounced sa cone y.
I had plantar, doctor froze it out
I don’t really like open toe shoes.
I cant find a nice pair of white shoes ,dont like them so cut out
None of those you can wear to the office.
I don’t work in an office.
Depends on the office.
You could wear any of the flats
As much as I appreciate that, and I love watching your videos. I don’t have flat feet. I don’t know many people that have flat, completely flat feet. I need shoes to have some kind of support and quite honestly even sandals or wedges have some sort of stack and support. Watching your reviews on the outfits of thick like that because I have bought a lot of things that you’ve liked as well. But as a professional office worker. It’s just not my style to wear a dress or a suit with flats it might be for some people, but it’s not for me.
All the shoes are really “older person” looking. Not really stylish at all. ❤
If you have problems with your feet, you go for comfort over style.
They are the shoes that I like, you don’t have to, everyone is different.
Once you get to a certain age or have foot problems comfort is everything. I’m 66 and cannot wear heels any longer 😢
At 67 with foot problems comfort is king.
