I remember watching this show. I loved (and still do) Boy George and was worried about his drastic changes on appearance. His hyper attitude was strange, too, but these all explained later when he was arrested. I am so happy to see him being healthy and does his things now.

I remembered reading about this appearance in his autobiography. This was filmed at the London Docklands and broadcasted in Japan via satellite. Apparently George and Jon had a major fight two weeks before the show. George was obviously off his head and got someone to get him a ball of string to tie himself up, because he thought his black bondage suit looked boring, then wasn't sure whether he liked it. He locked himself in the dressing room and wouldn't get out until Jon, Mikey and the crew were banging on the door. Seeing him like this, it is truly a miracle he is still alive.
I thought he was pretty high here and I wondered how he got drugs in Japan; but now that I know it’s in London it makes more sense. It’s sad to see them at this point. All the life has drained out of the band. The magic of the first two albums is gone, they are four people in four different worlds. And yes, that third album was a disaster, I remember hearing it and cringing.
I’m glad I was a naïve child. Looking at this is an adult you can tell he was absolutely on something. I remember him losing the weight and the drug problems later in life, but this 14 year-old at the time completely oblivious.
George you are not a freak you have a great style about you, you can be quiet hilarious ,I love every time I get to see you because you make me feel so good. Love You Always George.
Yes, it was a down period for George BUT I still will ALWAYS love George's looks during his heroine years. He wasn't a dirty heroine junkie but a seriously stylish punk heroine chic work of art. I love that he says 'Fashion is what everyone else wears, I'm a freak' = Perfection + Even when George was on drugs during The Twin he was at his most fabulous.
George is high off his head in this performance, very very drugged up. Surprised he did this maticulously without falling or not making it look hella suspicious
