Ed Sheeran said something to the effect that writing is like an old house with pipes that haven't been used in a few years: you have to run water through them and at first it's mucky crap, but you have to keep the flow going to clear all the crap out and then it'll come out clearer and clearer.

Your breakdowns have made me think more about songwriters. Was checking out the songwriters on the most recent BNL album. Knew that Ed (Robertson) had been writing with Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra) and noticed a name I hadn't seen before.
