I was fortunate to see Tony Christie at The Fiesta (now closed) in Sheffield at the height of his fame and i can tell you his voice was stunning, very powerful.
Still a good song to this day & it's true to this day of cities underground of wheeling & dealing. The Protectors was always a show i made time to watch, got to see other places since at the time, i wasn't old enough to visit them at the time.

That could easily have be my Uncle Jim Kenny there, looks wise. He had the charisma to match that despite being on Dundee United's books as a teenager (am a Dundee fan)......and chose family first.
