Rusty, just wanted to pass along a big thank you for the trucking vlogs. I thoroughly enjoy watching all of them and I learn something in every one of them. We’re watching! Be safe and enjoy life on the road.
Enjoy your home time , i finally got dispatched home .Coming back 95 southbound thru ny city , going at 60 mph when all of a sudden there's a car in the right lane fully stopped in a curve , if i was loaded , that guy would still be stuck between his chair and the windshield , not even surprising for ny standars
I’m enjoying you’re videos😍 watching this from the Netherlands, Europe. I’m in love on you’re job as a big rig driver. (I’m truck driver to, but that’s not like this kind of truck😢) I’m always have a dream to work in USA as truck driver
I live around the area he’s passing through. It’s going through Palm Springs/Beaumont CA it’s on the I-10 FWY heading east towards Arizona leaving Southern California.
As a uk based European driver I find your videos very interesting. But I noticed that at one point you where making 75mph and covered 775 miles. In Europe our trucks are electronically governed to 56mph so we sort of max out at around 600 miles on a maximum 10 hour driving shift. Do you have a speed limit for trucks?? Also we have the tachograph which records everything we do. Our version of DOT can download the last 28 days and any infringement will flag up and you will be fined and prosecuted. You seem a lot more free than Europe. I also envy the cab space you have. All our trucks are cab overs so I have a Volvo FH4 500hp but space is cramped Phil
Reefer loads are in demand but there’s just so many trucks sitting empty all over the country that rates are in the trash. You have to be trying really hard to find $2 a mile loads.
@@markm0000 Thanks for the reply, I've been watching the markets and freight. I don't drive but am looking at new opportunities in the future. Hoping trucking makes the transition after the virus. Scary days for sure
Sean McNierney is you want to be in trucking don’t even think about it without having $50k to start. Buy your equipment cash, avoid emissions trucks like the plague, open a real LLC and business checking, and start with factoring from day 1. You’ll be netting $10k a month easy when the loads are paid right. I don’t recommend Reefer unless you live in a area with a ton of produce. Good luck
I hope you make some killer cash being away for that long. I’ve always been somewhat local or regional to where I can be home every day so I know what I’m paying for a.k.a. my house cable furniture air-conditioning etc.
Just made that drive last month--albeit with my 1 ton dodge pulling my fifth wheel. Those hills are fierce. Never once had to slow down due to traffic because everyone was locked down.
