Waiting for this headphone a while. Thanks for review ❤️❤️❤️
First look only, full review coming later ✌️
@@SuperReview yeah, waiting for full review and comparisons with other headphones in this price category 😍😍
@@SuperReview please review Sivga Phoenix $259 at Amazon and this is awesome open back headphones for bass. 🙏🙏
I'm surprised to see the X3 so soon. Thought it would be released near the End of the Year.
the "release date" was supposed October 2019 buutttt, you know lol

So it's been 4 days now, do you have any initial impressions on the sound difference between X3's vs. the X2's? Has the sound signature changed/improved?
From what I've found on the SHP9500's vs. 9600's, almost everyone seems to prefer the sound on the older 9500's.
The signature is pretty different, quite a bit less bass. TBH, I don't love it at this point.
Interesting, what would they best compare with? After testing a bunch of headphones including the X2HR's and SHP9500's, I've decided on the Sennhieser HD58x.
love your videos! I am thinking about getting the X2HR or spending a bit more to get the HD660s/Sundara. Do you consider any of the HD660s/Sundara is a huge upgrade over the X2HR? They cost almost twice as much as the Fidelio, but I'm not sure they're twice as good.
Really depends on what you like in audio, some people will prefer the X2s. Personally, I prefer HD600 and Sundara quite a bit to the X2. And I prefer HD600 to the 660S. I think 660S at $500 is a hard case to make.
The problem with "the livestreams" is the clip length is off-putting (a 49 min commitment in this case), ain't nobody got time for that!
Even though your subscribers know the actual "review" segment is only going to be the first 20 mins or so.
Antoine P ..his reviews have been getting longer lately. some even are more than an hour long. 😩
@@anotherjuan His review is 20 min at most, and then it's live qna for the rest of the stream. Yeah seeing a 49 minutes or 1 hour clip might be off-putting for non subscribers.
49 mins can be a breeze if the presentation is lively and done well
This guy gives good advice.
I’m very curious how different these sound to the x2hr, do you mind responding and giving me a bit of detail? I personally own the x2hr so I’m really interested about how different these headphones are. If you can’t write a very long response though, I’d mainly like to hear if the mids are more forward, if they are more bright, and how the soundstage compares. Appreciate the inside info about these.
These are quite a bit lighter on bass, more trebly.
@@SuperReview can you say if x3 keep fuller rich sound or thinner?
Does the X3 have the same detachable pads the later X2 iterations have or detachable pads at all? Would have liked you to showcase this in the unboxing but maybe I have to wait for the review?
The pads are removable -- I was afraid to try it on the stream and break something :P The system is very similar to X2s, maybe the same, but I haven't tried swapping between them yet.
do you have the shp9600 too? :)
I didnt watch all 50min, are the pads fixed in place?
Nope, no SHPs. The pads are removable, same mechanism as X2 pads -- can even swap them.
$350? Wow... I think I will wait a bit to get them for half the price. I love the X2 when I decide to spend time with them.
That's what I said . Amazon 175 on sale but believe already sold out got mine today can't wait to try them
Will you be reviewing SHP9600??
No probably not.
Why review that when there's Fidelio X2 😃
@@vaarelsauce but x2 and x2hr still almost double the price of 9600 on aliexpress 😔
Aluminium yoke and leather are shexxy, but that grey cloth kills the aesthetic for me. They did look pretty good on your noggin.
Makes me wanna try and bend my X2 band to be more round, I'll probably screw it up.
@@SuperReview Like you say, you're not looking at yourself wearing it, I wouldn't touch it.
I have the X1 and still use it a lot even though I have high end headphones. Edit: these are balanced!!!! Btw - the Philips SHP9500 are *really* good and cheap for gaming. Get a V-Moda inline microphone and you are golden.
I would like to know which are the best headphones for you and also which headphones would you recommend in the price range of $350 - $400
Sennheiser HD600 probably.
Very excited to see how these sound. I noticed on Amazon and Philips USA page that it shows them with the fabric ear pads and also with the leather earpads. So I'm wondering if they will sell leather earpads separately. Also excited for the Philips sph9600
I'd be surprised if there are leather pads for it -- the official shots look to me like they're just not detailed enough to show the velour surface.
wtf would you want leather earpads ever? Do you enjoy having sweaty ears?
@@DJHEADPHONENINJA never said I wanted leather earpads!
I love my X2hr the durability comfort and soundstage is what attracted me to them and has not let me down. X3 has a sweet look. Looking forward to your honest opinion on sound and build. Now I’m looking for closed cans that have imaging I can use for serious gaming. I have angled hm5 sheepskin pads I’d like to use to if anyone has suggestions for me.
Can't say I have much experience using closed cans for gaming. Meze 99s might do the trick, they have surprisingly wide staging for a closed back.
I humbly suggest my upgrade from Takstar Pro 82, the Blon B8 or BossHifi B8, they also benefit a lot from pad change
I like the livestreams except during a review I want to know what you think of the headphone and it's really distracting
Sorry, what's distracting?
Double the price of the x2 this one better have double the rez!
The X2 initially had the same price.
@@westsenkovec I bought the X2 in 2015 when they weren't even available in Australia. $300US from Amazon and the Aussie dollar was worth about 75US cents. Don't regret it.
FINALLY !!!
I wish they would have made these the same shape as the SHPs. Pretty sure those are more comfortable, and probably mostly due to the shape of the pads.
So, could you say main difference between x2hr and X3?
I will when I review the X3, can say it's not as bassy.
Super* Review That sounds like a bit of a downside for more casual gamer/music listener like me, doesn't it? Sounds like the headphone's more tuned toward studio uses.
@@vaarelsauce if you play competitive fps games these might actually better. The bass on the X2 can be a bit too much when it comes to that.
I need some advice. I got the LG V40 and it has a "32 bit HiFi quad DAC" and I want some earbuds. I would like to spend less than 50, idealy in the 30-40 range. What should I look at to take advantage of the DAC?
Moondrop SSR, Tin Hifi T2, or Blon BL03.
@@SuperReview Thanks!
Hmm seems like, due to that material, a modmic might not be applicable to the X3. Not sure if I'd feel comfortable trusting that thin metal ring.
Which thin metal ring?
Both cables are balanced the cable with 2 black rings is a TRS cable and the cable with 3 black rings is a TRRS cable but both are balanced
cables with 1 ring is a TS cable they are unbalanced
The third black ring is for a microphone I don’t know why Philips give it with 2,5mm ,you can get TRRS ( 3 black rings ) cable with 3,5mm too.
I think the TRRS cable is for using a boom mic for pc games or something.
Really not a fan of the cloth look.
Agree, that thing is a dust and scratch magnet
wait did you share any sound signature info?
No, I just unboxed it, don't know what it sounds like it in this video.
Can be use in PC FPS/Action Shooting Online Games please?sorry.please understand.thank you
Sure
These would be good choice.
I personally use Koss KPH30i for gaming.
Super* Review thank you
You might wanna look into TRN BT20s Pro, this time it comes with a charging case finally.
This could have been about half as long and made the same point.
Hey do a review on the Sony XM4 please
I expect they'll sound the same, afraid to spend $350 on them.
@@SuperReview xm4 and xm3 sounds identical, rather than some features upgrade
😭
Please, compare X3 & Sundara. IT od interesting to know comparsion. I use V30, NW-A105, XDP-02 with & without amps.
Best regs,
MJ
...It is
Comparison in the review: ruclips.net/video/9L7J4fRLUN8/видео.html
Just like 9500 compared to 9600, X2 looks way cooler and attractive.
I just get the feeling that Phillips is behaving like a car company. They still have that factory making those 50mm drivers so here they are again, refreshed for 2020. Like, the same thing with a different trim level. I have wanted to try my X2HR balanced so I guess these have that option...
I want to ignore this set and shop my next planar but they have my attention none the less. I look forward to the hours I will spend reading and watching reviews of these cans.
Are they same as X2 or do they have different driver tuning?
Not gonna make any value judgments until I spend some proper time with them, but the X3s sound like a different tune than the X2s.
@@SuperReview yeah because driver size always does not matter and prove same driver like previous. Drivers quality, technology and tuning is far more important than only drivers size🙄
@@SuperReview hi at least can you confirm or not x3 has same thick sound signature as x2?
Thanks for sharing. Need time stamps though 😇
Could you please reduce the length of your reviews and unboxing? It's killing me, I used to watch every video of yours but now I'm not able to, given the length of the videos.
The actual video is usually 15-20 minutes, you can stop watching after that as the rest is Q&A
Harman Singh .. I noticed too. His videos are getting longer. A few of them are even longer than an hour. 😔
Waris Amir Mohammad even that is a long period for unboxing given that it's not a review.
Alllll the same content you got in my old 15-20 minute videos is still available in 15-20 minutes. The rest of the length is Q&A with the audience, which you can skip if you'd like.
@@harman8431 is it really that different from what he used to do then?
I never clicked this fast ever.
You set a new record, I can confirm.
@@SuperReview 😁😁😁😁🤟
X2 look way more premium
Kinda agree.
I was wondering the whole time why i cannot buy it anywhere. It's just not released yet and i decided to buy the AKG K702...
Didnt know these were 350$
I bought them for 659$, canadian domain amazon
When the review of sundara?
Not sure if I will, should I?
@@SuperReview I think the sundara will be a good entry point for hifiman.... that or the new he400i 2020 version
@@SuperReview if you already got it, a review is in order.
So new X3s are close back now?
No, still open, just covered in cloth.
Make a Sony Xm4 review pleaseeeee
I've not heard promising things :(
🎧😍📱🎼🎶
why............... purple box
More blue than purple.
This was exhausting and I stopped watching after only 5 minutes.
What's "exhausting" mean in this context?
6:13....smiley face with a double chin! :)
Illuminati confirmed.
definitely doesn't look as premium as the x2
