    Today is the 13 day being signed up for Sophia. As of this morning, completed 11 credits and 5 classes and the transcripts already submitted to my college. 😊

      i really had a good time with straighter line. I was able to get 90 credits from them sent to TESU, cost was about 2k not bad at all. I took about 2 classes from Sophia though and really liked their platform.

      It really depends on the person. While I was in the military, I was able to take CLEPS and Dante’s for free. I would go in on a Saturday morning after duty and take exams without any studying and pass for credit (world and cultural geography, analyzing and interpreting literature, technical writing, etc.). I don’t think there’s a better way for a service member to get free and fast college credit.

    I see it like this: CLEP is best if you know the subject (like you already took it in high school, for example), and aren't anxious about the test. Sophia is best if you are unfamiliar with the material, and need to learn it from the ground up. It's also best if you need the reassurance of knowing that if your get the jitters, you can check the book if you forgot a certain equation or whatever; CLEPS can cause a lot of anxiety because of the pressure to remember everything on a certain day (and, possibly the cost), whereas Sophias take more time, but are less stressful.

    Does UMPI give credit for both Comp I and II just by passing the one English Comp CLEP exam?

    I'm wondering if anyone can answer my question. I saw that WGU doesn't take CLEP exam credits. Yet on a reddit thread i read that some did CLEP exams and transfered them for credits for WGU. I'm confused.

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  9 месяцев назад +1

      They do accept them, they just don’t make the equivalencies public. If you Google “WGU CLEP exams” it comes right up on their website.

      @@CollegeHacked Excellent. What other easy CLEP exams would you recommend, to transfer as general credits before starting WGU. Currently studying for the CLEP english composition exam, just so i can bypass the eng comp 1 and 2. And so far from the material i'm reading, it doesn't seem difficult at all.

    Do clep examinations count as transfer credit or, if the school accepts it they count as credit with them?
    This is an actually important distinction.

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is indeed! They are considered transfer credit, and don’t count towards the required institutional credits.

    On the Modern States website it just says the freshman year for free. So 15 credit hours, not 90 Credit hours. Can anyone here speak to that. Either way 15 free hours is great

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  Год назад +1

      I asked them about that last year, and they send they don't limit it. Freshman year should be 30 credits in any case too though.
