I know you've already completed this mission, but in the future - try to be more careful around abandoned houses in the forest/countryside, as they may have old water wells, the tops of which have collapsed/deteriorated, thus leaving a huge, deep hole in the ground hidden by grass
You are absolutely right! We have encountered old wells around abandoned building before and we were being careful in Latvia as well. Thanks again for the comment!

@@TOM-ITI So she's a fighter! 💪 That for sure will come in handy in Canada! 😉 BTW, regarding the first video, an amusing thing is that when I pronounce Estonian words I at least used to use Swedish accent too. I remember reading Rimi packaging to a Lithuanian girl who learned Estonian and she was like: “Oh, you know Estonian!?” And after that she was: “That’s some crazy accent you have.” 😃 I went to Tartu “AHHAA” science center, and I caught myself many times thinking, wait are they speaking Latvian, just to realize, I don’t understand anything. These are some great thoughts. Our summer mission across Hiiumaa was perfect for berries. No mushrooms tho, but it would be cool to do a survival video 😉☺️

Are you using RTK GNSS navi? It doesn’t make much sense to measure deviations in forest using civilian GPS which loses accuracy easy and location becomes arbitrary. I am working on 150eur RTK prototype based on M5stack GPS which would allow to have survey grade accuracy in palm sized device. Most expensive of course is GNSS antenna. I am still struggling with programming side but it is already able to log locations to SD card for PPK.
Oh wow, you seem like you have lot's of knowledge on the subject 😅 We are using Garmin GPSMAP 67. Usually when we get to a forest I turn on the multi-band mode to improve accuracy. It seemed to work quite well most of the time. But you're welcome to advise us how to improve in that regard.
@ Strange that some mention that GPSMAP 67 is capable of RTK but doesn’t seem to utilize it. Seems it is because of AG3335M chipset it uses which is RTK capable (decimeter precision) but device is not. So you could at least install latest firmware and decrease logging interval to get better tracking accuracy. That is why I am looking for other solution with M5stack which has uBlox chip but this device is also not capable to utilise RTK which chip has so little hacking. So you gave me additional inspiration to actually finish the project as could see where such accuracy higher than meter but lower than survey grade cm accuracy would be handy. It would be great for your tracking. At least it could log more accurate track to SD card which could be processed later with local PPK adjustments.
Zemgale is good. But there is no way you will do this mission on Kurzeme. We have a saying - in Latgale - they will welcome you and feed you, in Vidzeme - they will ask you who you are, what are you doing and let you pass, but in Kurzeme - they will make you go away with a shitty pole :D
Do you plan to publish whole route that you went? It seems like you will go next time close to Jaunbērze and close to Dunduru plains (there are really nice place with wild cows and horses). Hi, We wish we could just use any music we want but it's not that simple. Copyright laws are quite strick in that regard. We were lucky enough to receive premission from the current artist who's music we are using right now. Thanks for the comment tho!
The greatest achievement you can get is the platinum run while doing these missions. And that means deviating less than 25 meters. If we had already deviated more than 25 we would have happily chosen the bridge but right at this moment it would have felt like competeing in sprint and winning but then someone offers you water from the side, so you slow down to show respect 😅

After Baltics countries, Next should be Moldova in straight line ❤
Vai šajā projektā noiet taisnu līniju ir svarīgāk nekā mazliet pārkāpt robežu un izrādīt cieņu vīram, kurš grib palīdzēt? 🤔
I get so stressed out when you go through yards from random directions. It's considered bad manners. Nevertheless, I love your videos
Yep, unfortunately this is part of straight-line missions, but we don't feel very comfortable doing it either 😅😅
For next video you need to use this songs
Reigani-eesti pois
And
Lauris reiniks-ma jooksen
This is a fun watch. I mean no offense guys l, but there is term 'pajoliņi' in Latvian with would describe what you are doing 😂
