How did you like it? I have "clutch knee" and would like an automatic as well. It the buffeting pretty strong?

Do yourself a favor. Look up velocity banking, and infinite banking. Infinite banking will teach you how to open your own bank abd give yourself a loan. No gimmick just learn how to use these tools
I just custmized mine and tuned the engine, its on order $38,425 started at 26 i added 11,000 in options also opted to get the automatic transmission
What I love about the Slingshot is the price. I don’t think it has cheap looking interior. If they use high end looking interior materials it will bump up the price. Also if you are concerned about the noise there are noise canceling high tech helmets out there.🙏

As an avid motorcyclist and convertible owner, I thought I would love the slingshot. Until I drove one. Came across really disappointed, it was super noisy and loud (forget about conversations with passengers), rode poorly, didn't feel very fast, and just generally was not an enjoyable experience. Buying a used convertible car like a Miata, solstice, even corvette, will likely be much more enjoyable for someone looking for the open air. The one thing it did have was excellent handling, but thats all its got on anything else, especially for the price.
Good overview but the rear wheel is a 20x11 not a 19”. Lol, I agree it is a lot of toy but it is a lot of fun. Once you drive one you are sold.

I rented a new automatic SL. It was a lot of fun. The downside: very HOT in the summer weather and the automatic sounded like it was going to come apart. Overall the vehicle felt/sounded cheap. Cool design, however.
What's the difference between "cheap plastic" and "expensive plastic"? It seems to me that plastic is the only material that would make sense given the cockpit's exposure to the elements, and for weight savings. The comment at 3:44 seems gratuitous. I mean, what other material would the reviewer suggest to replace the "cheap plastic". FYI, I do not own one of these. Other than that one comment, a pretty decent review.

Cloth or leather would be a horrible option in this vehicle lol. I don’t have one yet either but I’m assuming

Did I miss it? You didn’t rip in through the gears or rev it out to the 8500RPM redline? Maybe I missed it? You really enjoyed the downshifts.

You could compare it to the VW XL1, so the slingshot is essentially the same without fuel efficiency in mind, it has an open cabin and Costs around 1/7 the price

4:53 the "big red button" is actually the flux capacitor activator. It pre-primes the monogoflator valve.

That may be true, Mark, but then it has it's own unique advantages, too. No car I've ever driven is as much sheer fun. A motorcycle it's not - not even close. But then you know that before you buy either one, so get the one that you like. I enjoy my Slingshot immensely!

Apples and oranges. If we're going that route, how about a C5 Z06? They're the same price and would run circles around them both. The slingshot isn't for everyone, but they are fun as all hell. A lot more fun than ANY miata I've ever experienced.

Well yes it's going to look cheap simply because the vehicle is made to withstand nature's elements. They can't put high tech and expensive fabrics in it if you're caught in the rain or dirt gets in the vehicle

Looking at their website, it states the transmission is an "automated manual", whatever the hell that is. My guess is you don't have to clutch?
The automatic shifts itself, they make a manual transmission as well. Its whatever you want.

Well they didn’t do to good with the auto drive. Even with the paddle shift. Not that good. Nothing like a car shift auto. But you pay more like a car automatic..
If that thing's sold here in the Philippines it cost in million...

Yeah, kind of like the Polaris RZR's. Believe they do that crap intentionally so we can all go out and spend money on upgrades!
I know in some regions the addition of a four point harness puts the vehicle into another category and would make it very difficult and expensive to insure perhaps even not insurable .

An American-made STREET-LEGAL vehicle at just $10,000 would kill you. That's too cheap to produce a safe, reliable vehicle. Double that cost, and Polaris made a winner. And yes, you can get a safe, well-engineered American-Made Street-legal "toy" for $20,000.

You are kidding! $33,000.00 for this. Not a chance. I can only say it is way overpriced .
First of all 33000 is the asking price, we easily negotiated down to 25000 and then you get another discount for paying in cash. For us it was worth it, on the other hand I wouldn't pay for internet or cable or owe on a credit card.....to each their own.
