I think most of the people will be dissapointed, no metter if the permet score 5 or the full release will be p bandai. Im happy with my regular calibarn gundam and I dont really see a reason to buy the permet score 5, unless this where a rg or a mg.

Bandai should’ve made the permet bits easily swappable and include multiple sets with *all* the Gundams, it really sucks how these kits are so technologically advanced and not at the same time
It would have increased the price of the retail kits, which would have affected unit sales and how many units that retailers are willing to secure.

Funny how SDCS Calibarn has all three Permet options of its HG counterparts. Even though they're all stickers, it's still better than nothing.
Printing custom permets on paper is the answer. Itami-tech wins at customized luminescent paper custom permet that glows at blacklight.
Honestly I prefer the unique, close up shots of the mobile suits on the box rather than just making the boxes monochromatic with varying color codes. It genuinely feels premium and it would be a shame to see the beautiful artwork/renders drained of color after someone puts a lot of time into it. That being said I’m tired of p-bandai and wish they’d just have everything as standard releases
If you take a look at the Lfrith's holding hands, you can see that one inner side has a couple indents. I found out by accident while playing around with the Ground Gundam's beam rifle that Lfrith's holding hands can fit and hold onto certain weapons with ridged handles. And it's a shame the other G-Witch gundams or gunpla in general do not use this tech to make models hold onto accessories more securely.

Petition for Mecha to review the third party kit, SNAA 1/144 Thunder Incise Grace.
I find this kit was awesome in terms of color separation & it has full inner frame too.
This one is very easy to find in South east Asia since it has been open to preorder for a few months and it is actually cheaper than buying for full-release version from retail shop (Retail full-release around 19 USD while this p-bandai is 13 USD). So lucky us xD

They are priced identically in Japan. Both are 2200 yen. But for fhe Pbandai releases you have to pay extra 660 yen delivery fee. That's the only difference.

This choice of Bandai is... Surprising. I'm happy with my standard version because it's actually different from what you more usually see (red unicorn or aerial) but it could be either everything in the box or just available as extra parts.
On a completely different subject: I haven't done "2 snips and build" since my earliest Gunpla (... With poor cutters and poorer skills, so imagine the result) and now I'm almost willing to try and time it as my "cut, recuy, sand, sand, sand finer, polish" routine while far from top level in terms of result is still wayyyyy slower. Or that's me. So testing it might make this distinction clear.
I could buy some cheap HG but if it's not a duplicate or a kit I dislike I won't resist putting more care in it :D. I usually take several 1 to 2 hours sessions (depending on the model of course)

- Aerial Rebuild P6/8 (No seriously where the heck is the white P8 from the Darilbalde Repair duel???)

- Schwarzette Origin
- Zowort (Alt Equipment from Grassley Duel)
- Beguir Pente Dominicus Ver. (Plus ThornSlayer Long Rifle)
- Gundnode Mobile Armor
- Proderos / Cargore? (doubt tbh)
- (EDIT) Lfrith Ur / Gundvolva P5+ Override (Purple) would be crazy
No seriously did Bandai lose their WFM rights AoZ Style because seriously the amount of premium stuff AFTER THE SERIES ENDED bothers me a lot. Heck the Jiu was opened for preorder just days after the show ended
(now personally i know absolutely none of the other ms are going to get models because let's be real they're all bit spam fodder as irrelevant as g gundam grunts but man if they do something like the hover units on the clibarri (zowort 1v3) or the hipelis (2 binders with 4 subarms) id love it)
now this is also one of the reasons i was so hyped for the seed freedom movie (which i hope to watch soon)
the sheer fact that ms in the movie like the murasame kai, zgok, destiny spec 2, duel blitz, and lightning buster were not only kits but RETAIL of all things blew my mind
I got so desperate after WFM that i not only accepted the Michaelis and Beguir Pente as my favorite suits in WFM (after is darilbalde 1st form, then zowort trainer and then heindree trainer) and bought them both (now for a 00 custom) but i believed for months that the *freaking calrea, ij2, AND gyan strom* were premium

I'm looking at expanding my master grade collection with either a Barbatos, or the Eclipse alongside another MG kit, most likely the Duel Gundam. Which of these would be the most fun build-wise, in your opinion? The reason I have to choose is because the Barbatos is being sold via a different site from the others.

Premium Bandai was meant for Bandai to release kit that wouldn't normally sell well in buck. Example would be a Char Red Zaku and Johnny Ridden Zaku. People would already have Char Red Zaku and wouldn't normally buy Johnny Ridden Zaku for the same or higher price so they made it limited run and call it Premium Bandai. This is to save cost, waste, and shelf space in case it doesn't sell.
Bandai probably saw that Calibarn Perment 5 wouldn't sell well if someone already have the normal release and that why they sell it as Premium Bandai.
they don't even have to sell it. They could just include the stickers in the regular hg calibarn and have it selling twice as much (from people buying 2 of them to display both permet states)
Great review as always. But I can't help to notice that on the permet score 5 you put the back skirt armor backward. Won't have spotted it if you haven't put the side by side comparison. But really tempted to get it even if i have the normal release version. P bandai 😮💨

People say this but...yeah they do. We've gotten tons of new releases and there's more coming the majority full release. Are you telling me that you've built every single new Bandai release? There is a lot of P-Bandai just not as much as people like to complain about. This is literally just different stickers and 2 new parts this is what pbandai was made for simple variations.

I recall for kyoukai senki the ghost 2 had a colored box because it was a regular release outside japan. Maybe this is a normal release in a specific region

If you're talking about Gunpla, then Witch from Mercury is better than IBO. G Witch are very solid kits and flexible to pose around, even after multiple poses. IBO however, needs a bit of effort to avoid being loose after several poses.

Ngl from a business standpoint, i kinda get why this would be p bandai. For the more general consumers who would want a representation of the ms, there is a point towards making it stand out from the aerial and others with the specific rainbow pearlescent accents that bring about the finale of the show with it going to the higher permit score; making it less of another ms for the line and more of the 'final' one ig. Which allows for the more diehard fans of the series and kits in general to buy this one through p bandai specifically so the company won't take as much of a risk if they distribute it themselves, as well as unfortunately possibly cost more. Again, prolly just a business/marketing decision of 'lets put the rainbow one out first so it stands out as the special ms we want it to be' sorta thing. Granted this is entirely speculation lol.

I agree with the majority. The red glowing stickers should have been provided at the same time as the original kit. This is a little disappointing, honestly. It would be a different story if Bandai took this opportunity to provide a LED lighting kit with this, and charge a small premium for it, I think it would be more acceptable, plus probably have more customers willing to purchase the kit. 😉

This kit is great, but Calibarn really step up with some water decals.
The red sticker should have come with the original kit. This kit is a scam from Bandai to take money from the fans of the show.
Theres a sick irony that this costs LESS than a regular hg calibarn.
Yet they forced finished the show. They rushed the story because they don't want non of that lesbian action going on.
I think that this is less of a normal P-Bandai and more of something intended to be an exclusive for things. They normally seem to get a limited P-Bandai run before being limited in where you can get them after it

Permet is an ore that possesses the capability of exchanging information between both organic and inorganic systems, though its application in the tech of everyday society within the show is exclusively comprised of the latter. Within the GUND Format, Permet score 5 induces immense strain on the user and is what the suit is introduced with. Gundams in particular within the show’s universe utilize this dangerous variation on Permet technology and are likened to making a contract with black magic, hence its users being referred to as witches.

The normal release is so hard to find in my country for a reasonable price that I ended up securing a preorder of this version instead, paid less than the price of the original AND the msrp of this version using some vouchers. Win-win for me but I'm very sorry for fueling bandai's greed.
Bought this but expected the box to have a nice pbandai style design. this looks like the basic boxes with a different cover art only. No other pbandai markings. Bandai gucking everyone over.
