Slag was just delivered to my house yesterday but I am on vacation for a few more days. Maybe overkill on my part, but my display is featuring the NA Dinobots in Dino mode and the MS guys in robot mode. Both in their toon versions. Still getting used to the flimsiness of MS during transformation.
Good call on getting the MS toon versions. I’m doing the same, except I got the NA g2 set too., along with the EX. MS definitely has the size advantage. In my opinion they aren’t worth what they charge either but I’m finishing the set. $70 is a lot for an unpainted figure.
I have the 1st 2 MS Dinobots. I like their proportions in robot mode and articulation but damn they feel and look cheap. The floppiness in alt mode ensures that they will only be used in bot mode for me. Not sure when I will pick up their slag as I have 5 versions of newage slag I want to get first.
Sweet mother of Primus, Unicron, and Gaea...nevermind that fugly yellow nylon plastic they insist on using no matter how awful it looks (it's easily their worst color on hand)...somehow Magic Square managed to make Slag simultaneously look much more badass but much fuglier than their Grimlock & Sludge!😮😮😮😮😮
They do look like they're from the cartoon with the flat colors. Looks good for the cartoon effect.

He is a clean figure Yes that yellow is bright
I still prefer the Gigapower version even though it is not accurate just because of its size.
