So awesome to see inside the Rekluse factory. I knew they made an awesome product. But super cool to see they make everything in house. Awesome episode
I was a tower crane operator and it allowed me to make the sickest 2 stroke yz 250. Some sites I was 40 stories up and I could see our local.track seeing its in the middle of the city. Watching in binoculars all the time. But haven't rode since my bad bike accident. But I'm healthy and good to ride now. Winning this bike would be life changing. Love your show bro.
Loved the look inside the Rekluse factory, let them know that letting you film inside the factory will definitely lead people to want to use their products and expand their customer base. I was always interested in their auto clutches but I thought they stopped making them because I hadn't seen anything about them in a long time. Now I know they still make them because you went inside their factory. I also love that they are 100% made in the USA!!! Another great video!!! You and Uncle Tony crack me up.
Pretty amazing stuff what companies can make these days for dirt bikes. Whether it’s clutches or foot pegs , it seems the bar is always being raised. !! That even goes for you and uncle Tony. I know you guys got some good stuff in future for us. I guess I’ll stop ramling and impatiently wait for the next episode. Killer work man. 👌

So cool to see tour of Rekluse. I got the opportunity to work with both Rekluse and Fastaway as they used my 2022 Factory Edition KTM 450SXF to get setup for the next gen bike. Great bunch of people at both companies.

Need to see a Dyno sheet! would love to see if the BRC kit really makes considerably more power, which I hope it would cause I could build a 100hp cr or KX for $8500 in the motor alone.
The only problem with a dyno (I own one), is they don't have a good calibration method. So not only is there many times error for the results, but people can make them read what ever they want if they are not honest. I actually use a stock engine to calibrate mine, (small 26cc Zenoah engine), that claims 2.8hp at 12,500rpm with no exhaust and no filter. So I set it up that way, Jet it as well as I can, and change the "efficiency loss factor" to get the dyno to read what the manufacture of the engine claims it makes for power. The only possible problem there could be, is I am trusting the maker of the engine that their claim is what they say it is. I do have reason to believe it is. I don't know of anybody else who calibrates their dyno, and that is why you can take the same engine to different dyno's, across the nation, and get different results.
You don't want a 100hp 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine for a dirt bike for trails or MX tracks. A 2-stroke would get too hard to ride (peaky power, and lots of it), but might be good for drag racing, or top speed straight line competition. The 500cc MX bikes made only about 60hp for that reason. Yes, they can get more out of it, but not for that kind of riding. A 4-stroke can make more power and be less peaky because it crates power for every 2 revolutions of the crank instead of one. That is why we are seeing 70 hp that is manageable (for a talented rider) on a MX track, (plus the tracks are smoother, built for a faster engine today). If you want 100hp, I hope you do not plan trail riding or MX tack riding, because your lap times will probably be better on a stock 250cc 4-stroke, and you would probably live longer. Drag racing? Go for it. :)
Megura clutch master swap it. it reduces pull and makes the brembo feel like a cable clutch. I have both my 250sx and 450sx-f swapped, you'll need the clutch line as well.
Always cool to see these Idaho companies represent! Killing it as always man! Glad to see the baby elephant made an appearance although I don't think the rekluse guys were too amused hahahahaha
Clutch design has changed quite a bit. Is that Recluse's design that uses 6 hardened hollow drive pins to turn the hub from the drive plates? You should never groove out a drive hub. I like it. :) Are the outer basket fingers hardened in some way also?
For customers, I’m able to hit roughly $25,000 pretty regularly with all the bells, whistles, and labor. So it should be just about spot on with the 500 engine, and a few special parts such as the handmade exhaust pipe for it, etc. Would be stoked to build you something! www.mxrevival.com/contact
For the pegs: 2024 billet aluminum is not stronger than 6061, but is less brittle but more malleable which means dents easier, (not that 6061 is brittle). The "20" and "60" in 2024 and 6061 indicates the tensile (pulling apart) strength. 20,000 lbs per square inch vs 60,000 pounds per square inch, which makes the 6061 stronger. 7075 is more brittle, and corrodes faster than both of them. IMO, 6061 is the better alloy for the pegs. The 2024 will do a good job, but I am sure they will sag faster and bend easier than the 6061.
On KTM’s, at least the off-road models that come with a kickstand you have to run the peg pin backwards otherwise the kickstand won’t be able to fully extend.
Hilarious watching the super tight butt guys at Recluse try and avoid jokes and stuff knowing they would get fired in a heart beat if they joined in the conversations.😂😂😂
Could totally be a thing! Adding the electric start required the use of a wiring harness that also added connections for front and rear lights, as well as a cooling fan 💭💭💭
Chuck my dude! Love it love it love it! I’ve been running those foot pegs on the husky sense I found out stank dog ran them. Haha so comfortable and light! So adjustable! Hope all is well bro with you and the family. I just got cleared from the dr to go back to work last week. So I went back on Thursday lol. And so working on getting back on the bike at some point before winter. Keep it real bro! Haha Ps Tony did that magazine you have say Bass masters or Assmasters I couldn’t see it was a quick flip hahahaha hope your doing great aswell bro!
I might try a set of those pegs myself for aggressive Michigan trail riding. They may help me keep the balls of my feet on the pegs where they belong when not shifting or braking. When I get tired, of course I start getting lazy and start riding on my arches, and it hurts like hell to catch your toe on a stump or something on the ground and get your toes sucked under the peg.
I don't know why that big 500cc engine has an exhaust power valve on it, and the extra expense of it. I know if they are designed right, they will broaden the power of a two stroke engine. They help out smaller bore bikes, but a 500 (well ported and piped), has power everywhere.
He may be choked up by about an inch, (not "way up". And the ratchet is at the socket). But the heal of his hand looks to be in the middle of the handle well enough. I bet there would not be 1lb difference if he moved his entire hand 1" in the center of the handle. I would think there could be more error because he can't hold the basket firmly with that special wrench, so he may get that 1lb back there. lol
Damn this thing is wicked! I would want to win it but it is far too much for me. Too much power. Too spiffy. Too nice I wouldn’t want to ruin it. But its awesome to see you show up to these companies and show how they work. Clearly recluse is a good company to use’
@mxrevival 😆 yeah dude! One of those inflatable wavy arm guys at big sales! I smoked a left handed cigarette while watching the vid. Must've had me focused on the arm waving or something. I thought it was funny, so I posted. Glad you took it well as I was just trying to be funny. The build is coming along sweeeeeet!!
@@AndrewWatson975 Nope, with the fulcrum in the handle (the handle will pivot a bit on it, like a loose handle or a teeter totter), you just have to hold it so all the force is on the fulcrum pin. From the center of that pin to the center of the socket is the correct length that the torque is calculated from. If you grab it at the end of the handle, and the handle hits the rod it is over, you will actually have a longer lever, and put less torque into the nut. Just hold it so the handle is in the middle of the "teeter totter" (for a lack of a better phrase), and the force will be put on the calculated length of the lever.
Oops: I am talking about an older style torque wrench, where the lever bar actually bends as you apply more torque. That is the type that has the fulcrum handle. My 2 newer torque wrenches have the fulcrum devise inside of the wrench, so I would not think it would matter where you had your hand exactly on the handle, but they both say the middle of the handle.
He is not scared to tear into bikes, but he is a terrible mechanic. Check out how he routed the chain on the YZ that would not shift or start. Under the chain guide. lol
@@EarthSurferUSA Everybody makes mistakes Goober. He works on a lot of different vehicles with almost no manuals or prints most of the time. Way better of a mechanic that you will ever be so stop being a hypocrite and acting like you never made a simple mistake. WTF is wrong with your internet trolls who have NOTHING but a bunch of garbage to spew on the internet. Let's see you take any vehicle out of a barn and bring it back to life. Give me a link. You have no idea what you are talking about.
@@Nine_883 I port (by CNC mill and perfectly hand finished), and stroke 2-stroke engines for a living and sell them all over the world. Trust me, you don't need an associates degree in machine tool technology, 25 years of experience as a machinist in over 20 different shops, and 2 engineering degrees, to know how to rout a chain. "Simple mistake"? You got that right. The guy barely gets bikes running to sell again. I will bet you 1 out of 3 call him back within 3 months, (if they ride often), and tell him it is broke again. Now I have made a few mistakes when working on my 2-stroke MX bikes since 1976, but I do perfect work today, (which is very rare today), and I know the difference. Go buy one of his bikes, I don't care. I have no idea what a internet troll is. I do have a very satisfied customer base though from around the world. Out of 10's of thousands of engines and top end kits, I have not had a return due to my workmanship in well over a decade. Nobody in the world in any industry, beats that. Not even Honda or Toyota, arguably the best 2 best manufactures in the world. (It helps when you don't have employees) Now I will not say "I know it all", because I also know,------ "The day you think you know it all, is the day you have a lot to learn." Keep thinking kid. You may get good at something yourself. Then, you will know the difference.
You are a salesman. The companies you promote paid for the bike, and it has to be given away because nobody will buy a 35 grand 2-stroke. That is fine. I love free enterprise, and it is a good way to promote the hero's who start the free enterprise factories that got mankind out of poverty, while offering opportunity. I can almost promise you, the guys who started these companies, worked for somebody else before they went off on their own. I will listen to the rest,---unless you are also accepting YT ads. They really don't deserve a profit. :)
It is a showcase for the free enterprise productive people/companies who got mankind out of poverty. So the bike is given away as a tribute to the real hero's who produce. It was not paid for by the tax payers subsidies (which is theft), like the electric Varg. You decide which is moral.
Hahahahahaha are you sure? We spent so much money on bikes we can’t afford to eat…. Then we give the bikes away. 😂 thanks a ton for watching my friend.

Need to see a Dyno sheet! would love to see if the BRC kit really makes considerably more power, which I hope it would cause I could build a 100hp cr or KX for $8500 in the motor alone.
BRC sent over a Dyno sheet on the YZ500 (use all the same internal crank/ piston/ exhaust valve) and it cracked 70hp. Stock CDI and the cone pipe 😵

😆 yeah dude!
👍👍
Jeffer‼️
man the cowboys killed the giants tonight just saying.
Who?????
Who would ever turn down this bike for $10K cash ? 🤔
Not sure, but I’m glad to sell it for more if it’s the cash they want!
He was using the torque wrench wrong
How do you know? (the handle has a fulcrum pin in it).
@@EarthSurferUSA your supposed to hold it from the end of the handle
Ive seen enough
😂
if I win this bike IM putting a yellow seat on it
I havent ridden a bike since 1992 so it should be something if I do win.
anyone wanna buy 500 motocross magazines cus I got them.
i got motocross action, motocross journal, mxracer, dirt rider, dirt bike, and some you never even heard of.
🌭
2Vintage actually tears old bikes down and fixes them. No infomercials. That guy is a relented mechanic.
@@EarthSurferUSA Really dude? You assemble toy Remote control vehicle motors and you are talking Sh*t?? You are a joke. 🤣
(It helps when you don't have employees)
Now I will not say "I know it all", because I also know,------ "The day you think you know it all, is the day you have a lot to learn."
Keep thinking kid. You may get good at something yourself. Then, you will know the difference.
39:02 Oh my! How "progressive".
Just like our schools today. Genitals instead of math.
Lmao its still a KTM, Ill take my all honda 500 af.
That’s sick! 🔥
dirtbikes cost 35 grand now shit inflation is a mother fucker.
😂😂 Damn it, Joe! Haha, only the ones we build to give away my man! Thanks for watching!
Yea,but it will never be as reliable as the cr 500.
Why not? The cases are thicker, it vibrates less (wear & tear on self) and uses CR500 piston/ billet crankshaft? 😁
Yea we will see. It is an after market kit.
My husband has one 26 years old runs like the day he bought it,top end last 10 years!
Wth? Are you putting subliminal messages in the video? Keeps flashing throughout.
35,000.00....are you seriously?
+/- total value, yep
It is a showcase for the free enterprise productive people/companies who got mankind out of poverty. So the bike is given away as a tribute to the real hero's who produce. It was not paid for by the tax payers subsidies (which is theft), like the electric Varg. You decide which is moral.
fuckin hell........ 😮
pls adopt me
Hahahahahaha are you sure? We spent so much money on bikes we can’t afford to eat…. Then we give the bikes away. 😂 thanks a ton for watching my friend.
oh im sure @@mxrevival, ill trade my grans pension fund to come sleep on your carpet
