My favorite moment is at 0:56 when Lemmy is standing next to CJ and he’s carefully and methodically studying CJ’s stance and copying it exactly, then moves to stage front with him at the same time, just as Dee Dee and Johnny/CJ and Johnny were known to do during shows. Not only did he respect them as musicians, he even adhered to their presence and practices on stage. He understood what they were doing during live shows. The military lock-step precision of it all. He truly loved them and admired them.
There was Marky on this show! People forgot that Marky was Ramones drummer longer than anybody else. Tommy was first but he was a band member for 2-3 years! Marky was Ramones drummer more than 15 years!
I do not want to disrespect Tommy but to me Marky's an original member of the group, he played more than 20 years in the band more than anybody else and also just remember that Tommy originally didn't want to be there as the drummer, he wanted to be the producer, that's mostly why he left the band in 1978.
+Johnny .Lusardi I read in an interview where CJ said this was the highlight of his time with the band. The Ramones on one side and Lemmy on the other. It doesn't get any better.
This is the only Rock n Roll band in the world that ever actually, in real life, Inspired me. They really, really meant something. I love you, Ramones.
The Ramones and Motorhead were the last of the best rock n roll bands... They did what they wanted to, they never changed... They remained true to what their original vision was. For the most part, more so than any other band did...
Wow, that was great, usually you get members of two great bands together and they suck. The Romones & Lemmy worked fantastic together, too bad they didn't take some time to cut an album.
how often does a band get to sing a tribute song to itself? cool! we're still waiting for the new ramones, in vain. it's like waiting for the new hendrix. maybe in 500 or so years. thank you lemmy for writing this great song about my favorite band.
Pure rockers.. you can tell theyre cut from same cloth when they both step back from mics and rip.. then knowing a line is coming they both just boom go for the mics in unison. That pro timing is badass..
I saw a great interview with Motorhead at the swedish rock festival on you-tube the other day and they spoke about how they miss their friends, the Ramones...
Man, if rock and roll had a peak moment it's this! it's perfect, fast and loose, Lemmy being late and his grindy bass tone just filling up the already filthy sound of the rest of the band singing harmonies, of all things they are pro at their craft, they don't miss a beat i'm sure it's CJ best moments of his life it's sure is the best time of my evening
No, Lemmy the majority of it, if not the whole thing (i've read sources saying both). The Ramones were honored and decided to record it later on, I think it's first album appearance was Greatest Hits Live (studio version on a live album, don't ask me why)
Wow, Ramones, Motorhead, together. How did I not hear about this great thing, until now. Well, thanks for posting. Otherwise, I may have never known of it. I'm sure that there are bands this cool out today. (I'd put "The Bronx" out there, for example) The only problem with that is, we'll never hear them on the completely bought and paid for, corporate radio. We are the 99%, and we've had enough. Dump it over, that's all we can do, at this point.
@fiftythirdand3rd Where did you get that crap? C.J. audtioned for the band like all the other bass players and joey said he knew right away he was the right replacement for dee dee. No stockade was ever mentioned enywhere as far as know. And I've read and watched a lot of ramones interviews and documentaries...
[1st verse:]
New York City, N.Y.C.,
Pretty mean when it wants to be,
Black leather, knee-hole pants,
Can't play no high school dance,
First tone, hear 'em go,
Hear 'em on the radio,
[Chorus:]
Misfits, twilight zone,
R-A-M-O-N-E-S
R-A-M-O-N-E-S
RAMONES
[2nd verse:]
Bad boy rock, bad boy roll,
Gabba gabba, see them go,
C.J. now hit the gas,
Hear Marky kick some ass,
Go Johnny, go, go, go
Tommy o-way-o,
[Chorus]
[3rd verse:]
Bad boys then, bad boys now,
Good buddies, mau-mau-mau
Keep it up, rock'n'roll,
Good music save your soul,
Dee Dee, he left home,
Joey call me the phone.

The Irate Metalhead Exodus Bonded by Blood is an all time great🤘
The Irate Metalhead maiden without Dickinson

He wrote the song for them!
Not for nothing he wrote the song about them
Lemmy has said that the Ramones is one of the greatest rock'n'roll bands he has ever seen. His other fave was the Beatles.

!!correcto!!...
GRANDÍSIMO, !!LEMMY!! Bastard & Motor head

The Ramones are finally back together.
R.I.P. Tommy.
Classic Motörhead too! :(

@@wildchild01ok ramones were never the same when tommy left
they were still brilliant but were never the same
@@sm_4859 Agree, Tommy gave them a very aggressive sound way too ahead for its time.
at 0:58 when CJ and Lemmy walked up the their mics at the same time. so badass. RIP Lemmy
Because they are punks, obviously
+Johnny .Lusardi I read in an interview where CJ said this was the highlight of his time with the band. The Ramones on one side and Lemmy on the other. It doesn't get any better.
That would've been a dream come true.
totally brilliant. Lemmy playing from the minute he picks up the guitar, while it's still being plugged in.....true class
They're rocking together again now... R.I.P. Lemmy.
+SidBlackheart I like the sound of that, thats actually really nice you know
Lemmy & Motorhead with Ramones are immortal and eternal!
Lemmy is never late, that Ramones show started way to damn early.
"Keep it up rock n roll, good music save your soul"
thank you Lemmy. See you on the other side brother
my only complaint with this is that it isn't longer cause its a fucking good song
It’s the Ramones…of course it’s short 😂
@@tombstoneharrystudios584 the song is a motorhead song and it's still short
I love how Lemmy is playing before he is even plugged in.
The most beautiful moment in all rock history...

My favourite moment ever on RUclips was the first time I saw this video
ATTA MATE....I was 14 when I was playing this with my mates in someone's garage, I'm 38 now and this song still gives me shivers

0:05 - 0:15 Joey is laughing his ass off because Lemmy is trying to catch up.
Hahaha
looks like Lemmy thought he would be standing next to Joey until he saw there was no mic there.
The most beautiful moment in all rock history 😢❤️ I love you guys, RIP ⚡🖤
The epicness of this gig is just too fuckin much! They all will be always remember!
r.i.p lemmy

That says something about a band... Lemmy was such a big fan of the Ramones, he wrote a song about them.
