Frank I think it is beautiful what you are doing to help & bring awareness. I was once too a Kensington junkie & recently celebrated 5 yrs clean & sober. I had to fully remove myself from Philly & I now live a wonderful life with peace in my heart & mind in sunny San Diego. But...it seems like you are spending more & more time on the Ave, when you have a family at home that needs you. You can so easily get stuck in Kensington clean, just as much as you can using. As being a fellow person in recovery, you know that the ONLY way these people will get help is if they fully surrender & ask for help...plus, & most importantly, they must WANT to stop the madness & insanity. Addiction, ESPECIALLY in Kensington, is such a dark, broken slow suicide, & being on the Ave as much as you have been, their negative energy can drain you just as quickly as if you were using. I used to try to rescue & save everyone, untill I finally realized that I was the one that needed to be saved. God Bless you my Brother in Recovery...I hope you find balance & are present at home as much as you are on the Ave. The ONLY reason I am commenting for in a recent video you had stated that you live 3 hours away, but you have been posting daily of your time in Kensington. I pray for all the lost souls that walk dead on the Ave, but I have not desire to ever go back, ESPECIALLY with this fetynol epidemic plaguing our society. I was on the 8th & Girard clinic for 3 yrs & they give you a monthly transportation pass wether you are homeless or not, PLUS there are clinics everywhere in Philly, especially North. If you TRULY wanted to stop, you would get to that clinic everyday. I do not recommend methadone, but if it will get you to stop shooting up then it can save your life.

Frank you are absolutely right in my opinion in thinking creative people tend to be addicts more so than non creative. We have an intensity about us. I know with me I tend to be all or nothing when I'm creating ANYTHING. I also think because we have that creative side we are more likely to feel raw emotion more than others and want to dull the hurtful feelings and will do so at any cost, ie; drugs/alcohol. Almost every addict I know tend to be the most creative and unique individuals anyone would ever meet. God bless you, your family, and your ministry.

At the net street road they give you day passes until your monthly transpass is approved, which takes anywhere from 3-10 days.... Every clinic does it this way.
i think your theory is right in relation to artistic abilities and drugs. I'm 5 years clean from Percs and Vicodin. I was prescribed them for an accident (Percs first, then Vicodins, but after they cut me off without weaning me off, i bought anything i could off the streets i.e. Percs, Vicodin, "Perc 30's" which are actually Roxicets, etc), and quickly found out they enhanced my songwriting and music in general, and thats what got me. I refused to take subs because the withdrawals off those would have been worse than the actual drug of choice, but i actually got clean by using Kratom. Literately saved my life.
Yes, a lot of artists are sensitive people that just go bad ways when the environment is rough, this kid is around my brother's age and I feel so bad for him, I wish him the best.
He reminds me of me and all the boys I’ve ran with.. young, smart & talented that just got caught up and ended up taking the wrong path. I have high hope for him. Hopefully he gets outta there sooner than later though
What!?!? Fuck you mean philly is no place to raise a family these junky’s chose to get high idk wanna hear it’s a disease bs I lived in philly my whole life and got a family foh with that bs
Do you know how 🤔 this kid is doing. I watched this last night and it brought tears 😢 to my eyes. He so young. God I pray he comes around and gets sober. He is very intelligent.
I am his Grandmother. Shawn has been sober for almost 2 years. He lives with me and is kind and respectful. He still works on his music! Thanks for caring.
You can always get it back. I started drugs at 16/17, barely graduated high school. Flash forward, I went back to school (for music) when I was 27, now I got my degree, and 11 years clean and making money doing different things with music. It's never too late, but it is a lot of hard work. And for me it was a combo of staying clean one day at at time and channeling my obsessions and compulsions toward less destructive activities - music, meetings, writing, nature etc.
This kid has the answers and the will power and the drugs are keeping him hostage. The drugs ultimately come from the top and they are killing our world. This kid has so many gifts to share and he is being held down. It's sad and it's tragic. Prayers for him❤

That's not to brag/boast but to show anything is possible, even when you're down & out in the streets. I hope this kid makes the best of himself because he has potential. Thank you Frank for the content & the reminder of where I've come from.
Very bright young man
This young man is intelligent and outgoing, he has potential...please save him! 🙏🙏🙏

Wow I was so moved and impressed by Shawn I really wish that I could contact and help him
At the net street road they give you day passes until your monthly transpass is approved, which takes anywhere from 3-10 days.... Every clinic does it this way.
Frank he can transfer to the nets other location which is the one I just mentioned on street road

I hope he can get help!!!seems like a good person .....god bless you frank!!!👍😎
i think your theory is right in relation to artistic abilities and drugs. Literately saved my life.
this kid has so much potential. get down on your knees and with a sincere heart ask God to miraculously take away your addiction.
Omg this is breaking my heart. Please keep me updated on him. Please God save him.
You doing big things Frank salute 💯💯
This kid is spitting straight facts 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 god please save him from the streets❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, a lot of artists are sensitive people that just go bad ways when the environment is rough, this kid is around my brother's age and I feel so bad for him, I wish him the best.
He is sooo smart and handsome!! I pray he gets the help he needs and succeeds at his life. He can do it🙏🏼💙
What a nice kid. I wish him well
Praying for you young homie🙇♀️🙏❤☝️☁️👍🙇♀️
He reminds me of me and all the boys I’ve ran with.. young, smart & talented that just got caught up and ended up taking the wrong path. I have high hope for him. Hopefully he gets outta there sooner than later though
You stay Strong...And Never give up.
Please god save this young man and keep him safe ❤️ love from the North 🇨🇦

Do you know how 🤔 this kid is doing. I watched this last night and it brought tears 😢 to my eyes. He so young. God I pray he comes around and gets sober. He is very intelligent.
I am his Grandmother. Shawn has been sober for almost 2 years. He lives with me and is kind and respectful. He still works on his music! Thanks for caring.
Wow!!!!!!! 😯😪😪🙁this boy is awesome!! I pray Lord Jesus for his transformation 🦋
Congratulations on your sobriety. I applaud 👏 ✌🏾 you.
He is right. Sensitive, creative and emotional people are way more prone to addiction. He nailed it. Our brains work different.
Get out of there! Use those talents... share them. Pulling and praying for you , young man. 🙏🏼💪
I knew this kid from the neighborhood growing up . He had a rough up bringing . Kills me to see him down there .
Praying for you Shawn. Thank you Frank.
He’s just a baby😔I wish him nothing but the best🤞🏽🤞🏽❤️❤️
This kid has the answers and the will power and the drugs are keeping him hostage. The drugs ultimately come from the top and they are killing our world. This kid has so many gifts to share and he is being held down. It's sad and it's tragic. Prayers for him❤

"Wake Up"
Wake up young man, it's time to wake up
Your love affair has got to go
For 10 long years, for 10 long years
The leaves to rake up
Slow suicide's no way to go, oh
Blue, clouded grey
You're not a crack up
Dizzy and weakened by the haze
Moving onward
So an infection not a phase
Yeah, oh
The cracks and lines from where you gave up
They make an easy man to read, oh
For all the times you let them bleed you
For little peace from God you plead, and beg
For little peace from God you plead
Ahhaahh, Yeah, Ahhaahh, Yeah, Ahhaahh, Yeah
Wake up young man, wake up, wake up
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up
Oh, yeah
Wake up young man, it's time to wake up
Your love affair has got to go, yeah
For 10 long years, for 10 long years,
The leaves to rake up
Slow suicide's no way to go, oh
Slow suicide's no way to go
Wake up, wake up, wake up
Wake up, wake up, wake up
did you write that?
