Okay. No problem! I am so clumsy to start. I spilled coffee on a library book about 25 years ago. I ruined it. I went and paid for the damage. They bought a new one. They gave me the ruined book. I should get that out and collage with it. I will just go about my day and not worry about spilling and embrace the beauty of spilled coffee. Lol😂
Oh wow, this is so inspiring - thank you so much! And I love the joy and enthusiasm on your face while talking about this creative idea! It seems like coming right of your heart 💖💫
I also love to go out , get a coffee and draw….and I sometimes have a fear of the clean blank page….will definitely be trying this…thanks for the inspiration 😊
I do this too! I order a short espresso which is very strong and use it as paint with my brush to fill in, splatter and do rings. I like sketching in coffee shops so do it often. Our local Urban Sketchers Cincinnati group even has a group sketch once a month in a different coffee shop location, along with a special stamp URbean Sketchers for the occasion.
Such a happy video...love your sketches. My coffee ☕ is waaay too milky...I think I'd have a stinky sketchbook...but my friends drink greek coffees so they had better look out!!! Have a lovely day xx
I would not use cream or sugar in the coffee, that would probably invite bugs and mold. I bet you could use burnt umber to replicate this. Just saying, if you dont drink coffee. Ah, thank you, youre getting my creative juices....drinks, flowing! Lol (bugs are a big problem in Southeast US, ants especially)
I used to do this all the time - every time I drew at a cafe! Although, I was concerned about the sugars on the page later... (bugs etc in my sketchbook) so I stopped.
I’ve never had any kind of problem. However, I live in Colorado where it’s quite arid and mold is rare. Still, I wouldn’t worry about it. It dries quickly.

I can just see you at the local coffee shop and the expressions on faces while you play in your coffee
Haha oh yes I tend to turn heads with tis "technique" LOL
People love it!
I do it by accident 😂 and I just keep drawing over it. Happy accidents.

Keep spilling!

Cynthia does it with milky coffee too and it works...
@@KoosjeKoene yes you said so in your video and I'm sure it looks great..........( But does it get stinky😬)
I have never had any problems with my milky coffee. It dries and becomes part of the pages.
@@CynthiaMorris no more worrying about spillages then. Thanks for replying 😊
this is a really fascinating idea!
Try it! Real fun.
Thank you Koosje, like your work
Many thanks!
Great!❤
Thanks, Koosje! This looks such fun.

Great alternative of course! (mixing a whole lot of watercolor and splashing that around would work as well. colored ink... etc)
@@KoosjeKoene playtime! Lol
What fun!!😂❤
So fun!
not sure if tomato sauce is usable ... but I'll try anyway
Only 1 way to find out!
@@ingeleonora-denouden6222 😁

I understand that
Dirty paint water too
Great alternative for sure.
I suppose that you don’t put sugar in your coffee ?
Indeed I don’t
Thank you 😊
Would white coffee get mouldy in sketchbook 🤔?
There's only one way to find out, isn't there?
Cynthia does it with milky coffee and I never heard her speak about mold.

Merci both 😊
I can hear my mother with her strong accent yelling at me about spilling 😂🙉
