about how many times can i refill the cartridges pg-245 and cl-246 until they’re overused or something? i mean, is there a limit or do i have to change cartridges after a certain number of refills?
Does the "drill" come with the refill kit, or do I order seperately? Great video! I can't afford expensive cartridges every time we run out of ink so this awesome.
Thanks! Best i seen. A d you two are pretty funny a d cool. Not a annoying like other how to RUclips videos. Problem though. I cant find the "How to make Crack in 3 Easy Steps "?
I refilled my existing cartridges but it was completely useless if I can't reset the chip on the cartridge. After a while the printer stopped printing and now it's showing the message: "Black ink volume unknown". This is another corporate ploy to force users to buy only their original and expensive cartridges. Any suggestions?
I have been refilling my cartridges for years these are the problems I have ran into first one was my printer after several color refills I was not able to override the counterfeit cartridge error anymore with both printer they literally stopped working I gave up on color refilling and limited myself to black only. we bought a new HP printer I didn't even attempt color refill only did black it seems like there is a limit to how many times you can refill cartridges I was told they have a memory so I have several cartridges. another friend told me her husband has a reset key never found one of those. So the hp literally shut down and refused to print anything. so I just bought a new cannon TS3122 which of course refused from the first day not to print so I went out to the garage got the hp hooked it up I got the cannon to print using the hp software and now the hp prints? what exactly is going on there. I notice your cannon excepted those cartridges and printed right away mine never do that. How do you not get a counterfeit cartridge message? that is so awesome you really have impressed me now could you hurry up and approve me joining in your club I want those sponges. Thank you.. is there really a reset key or was helen just pulling my leg?
Interesting. Canon doesn't have a "reset" key. However, once the ink is depleted, it will display a window "Error 1688 or 1686... The following cartridge is depleted". Don't close that window and hold down the STOP button until you hear a click and the window will disappear. Then you will find the ink gauge is blank and the cartridge lights will be blinking. This means you can refill as many times as you want. However, before come to this error, you can't do anything to "reset" it. Just keep using the cartridge until you encounter this error and ignore all the low ink warnings. As for your HP, I think it's because a firmware bug and the "OK" button is not wired correctly. I don't have a machine to repeat this problem.
If you look carefully, you can see a pinhole for each color. The hole is very small. Just enlarge it and you are ready to refill. Some people suggested using lighter to heat up a paper clip, so it is cleaner than using the drill.
You don't have to right away. However, you will need to turn off the ink monitor down the road. Please see the 3rd paragraph of this article: bchtechnologies.com/blog/faq-printer-is-not-working-canon-cartridge-pg210-cl211-pg243-cl244-pg245-cl246-pg240-cl241-xl-or-nonxl/

Not clear, where to make a hole , as no hole sign ?
