The insect that was inside Anna's heel was a moth called Creatonotos gangis, it is actually a real insect. And as scary as it seems, it's harmless :)

That's messed up, hexed her just because she won't let you put your crap in a separate place because she wants you to follow the rules like everyone else especially since you didn't pay for one either. It reminds me of a scene from drag me to hell where and old gypsy placed a curse on a young boy that would be drag him hell just for stealing a necklace from her, really messed up.

It appears she encountered creatonos gangis. It's a moth species that perfectly matches the description of the insect in the story. It has large white wings, a red body with black spots, it's huge, and it's rear has 4 incredibly long tentacles that come from its abdomen. While spooky these moths are harmless, and the tentacles only release pheromones for mate attraction. Also funny enough these guys can be found in Asia, so it makes sense how it got on the plane. The moth itself is only about the size of a golf ball, but it perfectly fits the description of the creature.

Eh, Anna needs to see a shaman at this point. I have a feeling that the man cursed her for this. Since he has strange markings on his face, he might be transporting a dangerous spirit or something that can affect other people if it comes in contact with their items. That might explain WHY he asked Anna to locate the luggage "separately" from the others. Sure he could have simply made the request in advance, but he might just had no idea of that. When confronted about the policy of the flight, he thought a curse would teach Anna a lesson to fulfill everyone's requests in the future, be it in advance or last minute. A shaman would be able to lift the curse so that Anna would be able to live a normal life again. I just can't say that the man is a Kevin, maybe he's a practicing shaman himself with anger issues.

It sounds as if the old man, is an old Asian Voodoo Witch Doctor.
Hanuman chalisa and Lord Hanuman always helps you in these situations. No matter how evil may try to harm you in any way,just find a Hanuman temple and ask that priest to help you out of any situation related to Ghosts,evil dreams,exorcism or any other. These things do exist.

You should tell Anna that there is a cool gadget she can get called "Bug-A-Salt", there's also an optional laser she can attach to it which can be used to make killing insects with it even more accurate. Sometimes the 4.0 version is available too although it requires salt cartridges.

The insect is a male Creatonotos gangis moth, the tendrils are its scent glands which it uses to attract females. The man could possibly have been an entomologist (scientist who studies insects) that somehow got female creatonotos gangis moth pheromones on her, which would explain the bugs following her. It’s really just a harmless little moth, no real danger (unless you eat a lot of them lol)

It was a curse the bug was a curse, the curse was whoever had contact with the bugs feather will be cursed and marked with the resemblance of the bug. The man had the same curse and was experienced because he was marked from his entire body, I guess his suitcase had something really valuable or dangerous.........I guess shes cursed now.
