Nice fabric basket! You made it look easy to put together. Will Soft and Stable work for the interfacing? I have that on hand and some stiff stuff.
I'm really sorry I don't understand what the soft and stable work material you said is. The purpose of interfacing is to make the fabric smooth, beautiful, not wrinkled. Will that glue keep holding the batting and top together? Could the top, facing and batting be quilted together (to make it stronger and last longer)? Great video! Question, when calculating yardage to make a bag like this, do you add the size of the bottom or is it half the size? In this instance, it's a 10" bottom; do I add 5" or 10" to the length so when the wedge is cut and sewn it makes the bottom. This make sense?
I'm really sorry. I remember when I made this fabric basket. I didn't calculate anything. I just thought I would And I want the bottom of the basket to be a bit wider, so I use square as in the clip.
I think if we want the depth of the basket we should use half the depth we need. Because we will sew the corners together to get the depth we need. by having to make allowances for the seam allowance as well
For example, the depth we need is 10 inches. We used square corner 5 1/4 inches. When we sew the corners together using a 1/4 inch seam, the depth of the basket is 10 inches.

There was a question of how to call the materials I use to increase strength and keep the piece in good shape.I'm not sure what to call it either. But in Thailand, we call it synthetic fiber sheet.But I watch other creator's clips, they call it batting : quilt batting : wadding Most people call this material batting, so I call this. I hope to be able to communicate as internationally as possible.If you don't have batting like in the video clip. You can use a soft foam sheet instead. I hope I answered you correctly.

Lovely! How is yours so nice and stiff? What kind of interfacing did you use?
interfacing that i use is non-woven fusible interfacing , thank you for watching, thank you so much.
Try some light, mid, and heavy weight fusables, you only need a small amount to start. I made sample swatches with some leftover fabric, ironed on the different weight interfacings and washed them to see how they worked. Mark them with a sharpie so you know what interfacing you used. From there, you can decide what you like best. Happy sewing!
Can I use batting the way used here for a Tote Bag sticking with spray adhesive to interfaced outer fabric?

yes, you can do it .thank you for watching , thank you so much.
Try some lightweight interfacing on the fabric before you quilt on the batting. A simple cross hatch 2 inches apart, along with the interfacing, makes a beautiful finish that holds up nicely. Try making a sample and wash and dry it before making the bag so you know how your interfacing and batting look after washing. Happy sewing!
