I am not even a minute in yet but I just have to say your dreads are GORGEOUS! I am 4 months into my dread journey but mine were formed via crochet. I wish I had done more research before starting them as I would love to have seen how nature would have formed them. Either way, it is still the best decision I have ever made in regard to my hair. Once they are a little more mature I might just let them be. Thank you for sharing your amazing locs!

Amazing dreads! Really neat video as well. I'm only 3 months into my freeforms, and it's real that people think you're just a slob with your hair. But as a guy who's had chest-length hair for a while, I'm already used to being judged.
It's reassuring that the separating gets easier and easier. It's already become tremendously more convenient for me on my journey so far, with all "proto-dreads" having formed, and all that's needed is pulling those apart. Most also have some ball at the end, which I don't find aesthetically pleasing, but are very good for keeping tabs on where I'm supposed to pull. We'll see if I'll do something about them when the locs have matured. I love wispy ends, so maybe I can turn them into that?
With your massive dreads, I genuinely wonder if you could twirl them into a rope, attach a grappling hook at the end, and use it to scale walls. My own hair grows so slow I'd never be able to try for myself, haha! Best wishes, king.

In the beginning when you first start neglecting is it okay to put your hair up with a hair tie?
