To get that sound I recorded the guitar with a Kemper emulating a Mesa Mark IV sounding through a 4x12 screen with celestion V30 and a shure Sm57.

What effects did you use mate?
Only distortion man. I used a Kemper with a 5150 profile throught the audio interface without any effects.

I can play the whole song but the intro palm muting part can be quite tricky as the notes seem to be random I used to always just make it up but doing it exactly is hard to remember

hey bro to get that tone you need cm15r cort amp and have cort x100.That both is cheap so you can buy it and when you buy it im gonna give you settings and you have original tone

I think the secret is to memorize the pattern of which notes play two strings and which play only one note. Start by memorizing a small group of measures and add more and more measures until you get it all memorized.
