We’re doing a cover of this song in my band, and I asked my guitar teacher to help with it but we haven’t gone over all of the parts yet, so this literally saved me a ton of time. Thank you!!!
Excellent! Glad it was helpful!
@@SparkyGuitar I wont be subscribing but I will be using your tabs so that I play better. thanks for doing all the effort!
That's why guitar rythm very important
Indeed
That was wonderful, you’re so talented! Thank you so much for this tutorial I love this song :)
Great song
Oasis really loved the Beatles, and it shows. Any songs from Gish planned? Some of the solos on that album are just nuts .
Oh my god. Great Job and thank you very much for this vid 👍🏻
I heard this song live first and it just makes this song so awesome
Great! Thank you Sparky! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸🔥🔥
The drummer loves this song so we are adding to the song list. You saved me a lot of work. Thanks
Glad to help!
Hey sparky, great cover like all the others on your channel, many thanks it’s been extremely helpful when learning most of my Oasis Covers as well, cheers my friend 🤘🎵🎸
Thank you so much for the lead guitar
Another genius composition from Noel at his peak.
So fun fact I discovered while playing along with the recording. They tuned the guitar slightly sharp while recording. Why you ask? Well the old piano used in the recording was slightly out of key. So everything got tuned to match the piano since it is way easier to tune a guitar than a piano! The more ya know!
Best comment of the week. Great insight!
Man I swear to god when I was playing along with the original recording on guitar I thought I was out of tune and it was driving me crazy because I wasn't, I'm so happy I read this comment because it was absolute madness...
Perfect love the tabs together. Rly useful to see lineuo
I hope your channel never fade :)
Thank you from FRANCE 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Killer lesson
You are killing it. Now please, more Afghan Whigs with tabs and chords. Thanks for the excellent videos.
Thanks Terrance... I don't actually know that many AW songs... and great suggestions to add to the list?
@@SparkyGuitar wonderwall ?
Incredible song and great tabs 👍
Nice work! Noel is such an impeccable songwriter.
and a really decent guitarist. He plays some really good guitar lines that go unnoticed
@@SparkyGuitaroh yeah, he’s an amazing guitarist. He’s not a shredder but he always puts in whatever the song needs. He always likes to downplay it but anyone that can write as many killer tunes as he has is incredible. I picked up a guitar 25 years ago bc I loved his stuff but also thought playing it was “achievable”. He’s a couple years older than me but for my money, I think he’s the best songwriter of my generation.
I love it!
F/Fm/C at the end 😉 Love your guitars
Cheers Wes.... such a great ending with the major to minor... to major. Classic!
Brilliant! Hello from Germany
thank your share,so practical,love
superb
Thank you

Una de mis canciones favotiras de Oasis, la cual me aprendi en 1era, 2da guitarra, y hasta el bajo jajaja
good !!!
Perfect😍
10 outta 10
Pretty damn good and seems almost completely right. I have issues with the chord played at ‘take that look from off your face’ as I think almost everyone gets that wrong. It’s definitely a G# chord but the best analysis of it I’ve seen has it as 4X43, as it seems to be the chord Noel is actually playing in live performances.
it’s an e7/g#
I played bass and I definitely play the G# root note for that chord but when I played on guitar, it definitely sound right with e7/G#, but can probably get away with e7 only.
Wow.. nice.
Very entertaining, just tipped over to 4200 likes on my tap 👍🏻
That's a crazy number of likes!!!
Watching and listening and learning far away from northeast India 🇮🇳👍👍🙌🙌🙌🙌
Welcome on board! Great to hear from you!
I guess I wasn't listening as hard as I think I do. Lots of stuff going on in whichever one's part is being played on the LP. Good shit, sir.
Even when heavily inebriated you can bar chord this one well enough to please a crowd.
Sing it well too, and you'll get people on their feet. The Ladies LOVE Oasis, so add this one to your set list. Easy-Peasy.
at 2:48 for the lead guitar, you play it differently than the tab as you slide to the Em7/G, not the G as the tab says
Dam what a cover
Thankyou!
Wowww
🤘😆 nice!
Nicely done. Got that Exact same LP Studio. Had that exact same 335 I think, 1979, coil taps, had a trapeze tail and then a Bigsby, then back to the trapeze, witch hat knobs. Frets were low. Same one, I wonder?
Wow! And you're called Sparki....!
This one is a 76... and when I got it the trapeze had been replaced with a stop tail. I'm glad I added the Bigsby - though I was sweating when I had to drill the screw hole!
Excelent
Cool
Please dont go away next
Good
Wow the rhytm almost exactly plays boneheads part, never seen that before

There are three guitar tracks running through the song in the original
es 335 td!

I just want to know if this is like the official rhythm guitar noel plays cause I've seen other tabs and they are slightly different in some notes
Hi - this was based on the isolated guitar tracks from the original recording...so it will have been pretty close...
what are the chords for the acoustic at the end
What ES-335 is this? Why its in whine red and has an additional toggle switch?
It’s a standard ES-335 from 1976… apart from the Bigsby which I added recently. The 335’s in the late 70’s had a coil-tap switch… which works really well! The colour was also quite standard then. Jamie Cooke from Arctic Monkeys plays one that is identical (almost… it has a different Bigsby model)

What tuning is this it sounds very different yk when I play with standard????
Tuning details are always in the description under the video. For this one you need to change the calibration of your tuner as it isn’t in standard (A=440Hz) pitch.

can someone explain to me what’s the use of two guitars playing the same chords ?
Good question. First - 2 identical guitars playing the same thing still adds depth. Plus you can pan them differently to give them more stereo space. 2 different guitars playing the same thing will add a lot of texture. So a les Paul will sound different to a 335. Even more so when you put a Les Paul next to a Strat (Smashing pumpkins) or Les Paul next to a Tele (Pixies). The amps and pedals make those sonic differences more significant. And this is all true even if they play the same thing. The reality is most times the 2 players are playing 2 different versions of the same chord. In oasis Bonehead always plays barre chords - but Noel often plays open chords. So they compliment each other. Finally. You often see 2 guitarists playing the same thing for part of a song - which keeps it simple. But then diverge for (say) the chorus. That adds a lot of texture to a song. Hope that helps - and I’m sure others have some good views on this too!
@@SparkyGuitar thanks for your answer! makes sens, keep up your cool work on this channel 👌
[Verse 1]
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play?
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Slowly fade away
[Pre-Chorus]
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
[Chorus]
And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger, I heard you say
[Verse 2]
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a rock 'n' roll band
Who'll throw it all away
[Pre-Chorus]
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, 'cause summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face

This is not standard tuning right?
Tuning details are always in the description below the video...
Great tab. Thank you! But in the chorus, at "take that look from off your face" your tab and playing don't match. I like your use of the octave there, though.
Hi there. Thanks! Which guitar is incorrect - and which bar number… so I can correct the downloadable tab…
Doesn’t need the vocals. Otherwise very good
I’m playing over the original song… but I’ll let Liam know! 😀
It’s Noel singing!

Is this slightly out of tune?
Yes. Details are in the description under the video. Cheers.
is it just me or this is OFF key?
Hi. Details are in the description below the video. The song was sped up when they recorded it - or they tuned it to a dodgy piano in the studio (I can’t remember!). So you have to tune your guitar up to match the record. If you calibrate your tuner to 449hz that should sort it.
Yeah you definitely have to tune your electric I think around 20% sharp to match the original track
Wrong .... like nearly all yt tutorials
In what way is it wrong?
Fyi, you are almost half a step sharp, but not.
Correct - tuning details are always in the description below the video. I think for this one there is a story that the band tuned themselves to match the piano in the studio... which was well out of tune!
I think your guitars are out of tune.
Yes they are - and they have to be to match the original recording. If you play along to the original with standard tuning it will sound wrong. They must have sped the tape up once they’d recorded instruments.
