I don't have a favorite of Chopin's Nocturne's. I love them all, and this is an absolutely beautiful performance of this one.
So mature, so insightful, so tuneful and elegant. So musical. I hope one of the major labels gives her a recording contract.

Dear Tiffany, this nocturne always has been one of my favourite piano pieces (in general I very much like nocturnes), in fact it has been the piece which rekindled my wish to play the piano some while ago (although I will probably never be able to play this complex composition myself).
You play it so nicely, gently, it literally made my eyes wet. Your understanding of music is so profound and amazing. It's so nice to have artists like you around who keep this music alive in such a magic way.
Totally agree with you, Kai ! Many pianists try to play this Nocturne, but without right feeling, atmosphere and tempo... she knows... she knows and feel how...this great piano girl.. brilliant technique is NOT enough,..if you don`t have the right feeling... for many things...many (piano or other) students are just "well learned skill".

Dear and great Tiffany Poon, ...your playing this Nocturno is one of the best, what i `ve ever heard...the other pianists are good like "masters of the skill".. but they miss the atmosphere, ...and don`t have his own stamp...You are on the right way, to be more than "one i a million" piano players...! Great and special...

This is one of my favorite Chopin Nocturnes, complex, yet beautiful.

This music is the epitome of beauty, purity. The same can be said about the performer.
Sometimes putting aside the technicalities can make the music heard just as beautiful as if it were played as intended.
so gentle...I always rush this one but there is no rushing here whatsoever. :D

you see the really unusual Cb note (as opposed to the merely unusual A natural or Bbb) is so strange that she almost corrects it at 4:32
I'm learning this and struggling immensely with it. I can play more impressive pieces but there is something about the way your left hand and right hand are less in sync in this than other pieces that make it very hard to coordinate.
Same with Fantasie-Impromptu *sigh

I am learning this too.. i am thirteen and i think that its so hard piece... but everything is about understanding, practice and feeling it,.. i am sure you will have. an amazing performance and i am sure you had... best wishes in future....

My sincerest apologies.. *If one were to change the playback speed to 1.25x, as I did, they may consider the music to be really rather enjoyable, in fact perhaps more so than at 1.0x speed.
