"You can't rely on just microdosing alone to make all the difference in your life" Perfectly said. I feel way too many people think md is a magic pill that will make everything alright for you, and that it should work instantly. Thank you for suggesting meditation too, it is so important to combine the two; a healthy diet and exercise can also compliment md tremendously. Great video!!

I'm bipolar, try psych med most adult life, exercise, eat vegetarian and dabble with meditation and still mostly depressed until I tried md with intention, I tried it before the pandemic without intention and it didn't help, now after 5 months I'm more positive in my additude and I pay attention to things I ignored which is a major change in my life and I feel it's just the beginning.

DMT, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms are truly remarkable. A few years back, I was grappling with severe depression and mental health issues, and was diagnosed with BPD. It wasn't until a friend suggested psilocybin mushrooms that things began to change for me. It was a lifesaver, and I've been completely clean for 6 years.

Hey Julianne I finished my microdose journey and wow along with meditation I feel like a new person. My social anxiety is gone and its SO EASY to connect with others. I used to be shy and withdrawn but my confidence has been through the roof. My memory has improved and happy memories from the past have also came back. My childhood trauma made life so foggy but these days I have never felt more clarity. I connect a lot more with all my coworkers and have never felt this close to my dysfunctional family. Now I'm going to help my brother by also recommending him the book Complex PTSD by Pete Walker. From that book I discovered another book called Getting the Love you want, which taught me how to actually unconditionally love in a relationship, something I've always struggled with because I was never taught how to love. From there I finished the Tao of Fully Feeling by Pete Walker and for the first time in 26 years, I actually enjoy reading/ebooks. And it all snowballed from YOUR microdosing video that randomly appeared on my RUclips algorithm. so THANK YOU x 100.

In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally. Good times!
All were positive, fun, spiritual experiences. But, it's been decades. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who can get psychedelics from. I live in LA & there's a Kush store three blocks from my house, but I can't function alone on weed. I wish they sold psilocybin gummies. I'm a little depressed & a little anxious on a regular basis. I'm not a big drinker and I hate taking pills.

James Fadiman mentioned that set and setting requirements are really only applicable for macro dose sessions. Obviously, you can't control set and setting quite as well for an extended period of time while microdosing. 'Set and setting' as used in psychedelic science and literature is understood quite differently from something like intentions and expectations, which seem more useful for microdosing. According to Fadiman there is no indication that set and setting (his definition of it) matters when it comes to microdosing. I do think it's practical to differentiate between the two.
Lovely to see these topics receive more and more views. Great video! ❤️🙏🏼 Thanks for sharing your experiences.

    • @naiakiki

this is purely anecdotal, but I have noticed a difference with intentional set and setting while md-ing. I have played with md's for a few years and I have noticed I do better with an hour or two of intentional microdosing, outside, moving (a walk or hike). Or, making art or doing yoga. When I microdose and work, I often find myself feeling uncentered or irritable the following day. It surely could be other factors, but its happened a number of times so I felt it worth noting.

I've been enjoying your videos. My partner and I have been microdosing off and on for about a year. It's been nice comparing my experience with your own personal reports. So that's been really interesting and insightful. I definitely can relate to most of the six topics you listed. Another one that I've noticed is that I can see a pattern with my MD experience. I do 4 on 3 off.. my fist day is usually my best day and that carries over to the second day then I have anger on the third day followed by frustration on the fourth. My next three days are reflecting on my MDing.. my 3 days off are where I feel the absolute best. Like I can feel the benefits. It's been a process. On those tough days I always tell myself it's okay because I'm headed for a wave of feeling amazing. I think the human brain gets suck in unhealthy patterns and when it's going through the positive changes it can be painful. No pain no gain basically. In the long run I've noticed a huge improved in my quality of life. Now I just do boosters when I feel I need it. Which is usually only a 4 day cycle and I'm back on track for another few months. Just thought I'd share that and see if anyone can relate? Thanks again for your lovely videos!

Thank you for this informative video. I have been practicing Yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises since I was a kid thanks to my loving and very "Hippy" Mom. I just recently started my micro-dosing journey after losing her to very sudden and aggressive cancer. In her last days, she was micro-dosing to help her deal with her impending death. The effects were amazing and my mother and I spent some time together that I am very grateful for. She convinced me to face my PTSD and spinal pain in a new way without pain killers and anxiety medication. I'm only in my second month but I have been amazed at my attitude and how I am gravitating towards positivity and functionality despite injury and PTSD. I feel alive like when I was young! My mind is focused yet calm. My body is comfortable after 30 years long enough to help reset the pain cycle and allow me to be a better person as a father, husband, and friend. P.S. I have noticed a very different experience based on the strain or type of mushroom. I prefer The Golden Teacher because it helps but it heeps me grounded. I'm not looking to escape my problems so I tend to avoid anything that dulls my brain instead of helping my brain. Best Regards

This lady definitely knows her stuff! I am currently microdosing and have come across similar suggestions like meditation which is crucial while microdosing. I think it's important to meditate every morning for overall well-being. I do this right after my morning dose to calm me down and let the dose dissolve.
I can also agree with Julianne that for someone with clinical depression (like me) it is important to start taking doses frequently (every other day / 5 days on and 2 days off etc.) instead of the Fadiman´s protocol. I felt I needed help immediately so I started taking it every other day to really feel it and also get the right dose faster. After a month of use I stopped and took a two week break and then started the Fadiman´s protocol with the exact dose that works for me.
I can say that after 8 years on anti-depressants I stopped taking them (didn't help anyway) and cured my depression by microdosing magic mushrooms .. who would have believed it? Is it a placebo? I don't care, it helped me and that's what matters.

The worst PR for psychedelics is the partying and spacing out image it gets from kids mostly. Your portrayal of the real power in change as a self-responsibility is exactly what’s needed to contribute to the “rebranding” of these medicines. As someone who spent years completely sober and meditating, I view psychedelics VERY differently than I did as a 19 year old who only wanted the hallucinations.

I think society needs to undergo a shift in mindset. The way the US govt schedules drugs is based mainly on whether or not they have therapeutic. Which is why weed and shrooms have been banned for so long. But now people are starting to wake up and realize that recreational use isn’t necessarily bad.
I took 1g of shrooms, and had a very introspective experience. About 2 hours after consuming them that phase finished and I went to a party and didn’t have more than one beer. My point with that anecdote is that you can get real benefit from it as a party drug AND as a medicine, even in the same trip. And both uses are equally valid. For me, finishing my trip at a party was probably the best possible thing because it ended on a very high note and probably double the length of the afterglow

I am trying first week of MD. I can confirm on the "too high" dose. There is a range for me between MD and a "regular dose" (both for shrooms and lsd) where I feel a bit trippy but more like drunk and tired - not very good for anything other than lying on the bed. Below - I didn´t believe it but it really works - I feel finally motivated to do things, to work, meditate etc! And my mood improved a lot.
I want to use this energy to work on myself

I recently small-dosed (1/6 gram) three days in a row. About 45 minutes after ingestion, I experienced a pronounced relaxation that I haven't felt in years. This was totally surprising. Aside from this, no halucinaginic effects were felt. BUT, I must say, that on day four, the first day after my three days of small doses, I think my dopamine levels were quite low. For that one day afterward, I felt really blasé. Good thing I had that day off work.

    BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING !!!
Make sure all these things are right in you life:
Very regular sleep patterns. Go to bed and get up at the same time every time, even at weekends.
    Take regular exercise outdoors.
Eat a really healthy diet and avoid all junk food.
    Keep hydrated, all the times.
    Avoid intoxicants.
Meditate at least once every day.
Once all these things are in place you can begin your micro-dosing regime.

trying to do mushrooms with a panic disorder is a real pain.
i did truffles in amsterdam, tampanansis to be exact, it was not happy joy joy but it was very insightful
sadly i did an entire weed brownie (yeah i know its stupid of me) about 4 days later
and that gave me a massive panic attack
since then its been really hard to get into shrooms without panicing, i was able to get into a nice place and draw while tripping, that was actually relaxing, but even microdosing scares me a bit.

I found that anxiety would start happening if I microdose too many days in a row. It’s usually the sign that I need to take a 2 to 3 days break.
I also have ADD and micro dosing does absolutely help with that. But my dose is much smaller that what is recommended. I sometimes take closer to 10mg at the start of the day and it works as a charm, doesn’t make me sleepy or anxious. 4 days on 3 days off seems to me the best protocol for me. Thanks for these videos! I don’t know many people who do this :)

Thank you! I love this channel and it has been a game changer for me. You really helped me get back on track again by introducing me to issues around building up tolerance & stacking. Just like growing mushrooms (which has also been a huge part of my healing process) micro-dosing is as much an art as a science and requires research, trial & error and, most of all, patience. Growing my own mushrooms is now a great source of interest & joy for me. I have a symbiotic relationship with my medicine! Other things that helped me was the realization that capitalism’s insatiable appetite for cheap & productive labor has created a system designed to ensure the vast majority of us are consumed by self-doubt & anxiety. Obviously I have’t escaped capitalism, but this knowledge has helped me keep it in check!

  • @jampuppy

Excellent video! So clearly elucidated! I just want to add that some of us are very sensitive to substances and respond well to 50mg every three or four days. In fact, even that was a bit intense for me from time to time depending on where I was in my healing and just in life.
I look forward to checking out the meditation app. So often people just reference meditation without more information as to type. For those of us who aspire to advaita (nondualist) type of Vedanta meditation, this mindfulness rendition is very different.

Hey, I'm really appreciating your content. I'm also working with this amazing medicine.
Just my 2 cents on this: I also used to suggest 2 grams as a standard, beginner-friendly trip dose.
But after assisting and participating in plenty of group ceremonies, I've come to the conclusion that it's better to suggest 1 - 1.5g, and then maybe go up from there on a next experience.
I've seen people (some with plenty of spiritual and personal work I might add) completely floored, incapacitated and confused with a 2g dose.
Just something to keep in mind. Thank you so much for speaking about these topics!

Great video! You really break down the mechanics of what mushrooms do and how to do them great. I have dealt with a few people not understanding that for them to work, you have to do the work. They only open the door to a happier you. You have to go through it and do what is needed to heal. I would say that suggesting 1-2 G of dried mushrooms is a big gamble seeing as the strain and where they come from plays a big part in their potency and variation in their psychedelic compounds (psilocybin isn't the only one, even though the largest contributor). The market place in California is a little bit different it sounds like though seeing as how yours come with instructions. Again, great video and can't wait to watch the others.

My belief is that these naturally occurring psychedelics are Mother Earth's way of communicating with us directly. When I have taken them, I see the beauty of Life so clearly and vividly, and the experience stays with me for a long time, I don't need to do it often. I took 3.5 grams my first time two weeks ago but didn’t experience any hallucinations. I did feel really euphoric any hyper focused. I’m going to try again this week :) before I can give the experience an official review.

Just came across this channel. You are articulate. Professionally presented subject. I’m trying to gather as much information on this as I can, before I step in. I’m still trying to figure out a source…..
    thanks for the information.

You gotta check out 1) Psyched Substance Video on Psilocybin. He has a good in depth video and even a video on him doing simple exercises (Catch a tennis ball for example) comparing being High Vs Being On shrooms
      And 2) GC kID
He does more videos on how It feels and how he would use it.

Out of the 50 videos on mushrooms I've watched in the last week, none of them have given me the info that I'm looking for, which is how much to take BY SIGHT. Saying "two grams" or whatever means nothing because I don't know what 2 grams looks like. Show me what the correct dosages LOOKS LIKE. Is it a handful? Is it 2 caps? Or what?

Julianne: I'm really enjoying your videos. ! !!
I've recently purchased an accurate scale. 0.000 g.
I understand 150 mg is recommended for micro-dosing. So this is my new practice.
I have experience with mushroom and other psychedelics over the past 4+ decades. Mostly very positive.
    benefits
I sleep better w mush micro dose. - as along it's taken fairly early and small dose like 150 mg,
I rarely do a single micro dose in a 2 week period.
Actually my life is very simple at the moment. Pandemic 2021 winding down.
I hope you continue with your reporting and inquiry into the micro-dosing subject.
In several years we will all enjoy the knowledge we are currently seeking. = in part due to your pioneering commitment.
    Thank you very much,
    Please persevere.

I wish we had clinics where people could guide you on your trip in the United States. As of now, We have nothing to educate us before our trips other than google searches and RUclips videos. A lot less would go wrong if we had doctors that we could confidently consult regarding psilocybin
