That’s the most special times growing up with a father, these are the times that kids will remember for the rest of their lives. Makes me wish my father was present to experience times like this. Keep being an amazing father!
Houston CONGRATULATIONS on your 1st buck and deer. It only gets better from here on out. Keep up the hard work it will pay off. Be a Blessing not a Burden. And we will see you in the next video peace ✌️
So proud of you Houston! One shot, one kill! You didn’t have “ Buck Fever” (the shakes) until after you brought him down!! Pure excitement for you. And Dad...WELL DONE!!
Daniel: "There's another deer...just wait a second." Houston, exactly one second later: Pow! Congrats Houston! Nice harvest! Proud of you with your first buck! Well done! Great parenting, Daniel!
Omg!! I can't help it I'm a tender hearted person and I started bawling!! Mr arms u are blessed beyond words I wish I could go back to when my oldest son shot his first buck!! There is. Nothing that can compare to a moment like this thank u and thank u houston for sharing this moment so precious with us!! I wish my special needs son could experience this!! Very happy and proud of you mr houston!!
Good shot Houston , I still remember every deer I've shot in the last fifty years. But the first was the most vivid. He was a Y buck about like yours . weighed 124pounds . Great job son .
I remember when my dad shot his first deer he was in his late 60s or early 70s and he brought the rack home part of the skull still attached and fur and skin to, he handed it to me and said clean it so I scraped all the skin for off of it I was in my late 30s I think. Now that he is past I’ve got the deer antlers hanging on my wall now.
My nephews have all their dad's racks. He was a great hunter. He always got 3 or more thru out the season every year including his last when he could barely walk, or breathe. He died of lung cancer when the boys were 13 & 17 years old.
I must say you and your family are my favorite people by far! Your Christian, Faith and family values are just like my family. Keep it up! I just wanted to say that the videos you make with Houston fishing, etc is something special to me personally. My dad was sick from the time I was around one year old until he passed away shortly after I turned 7. My dad was a reserve police officer when he was younger and enjoyed fishing and hunting and gardening just as much as you do and while watching those videos makes me extremely sad about the things that I have missed out on with my dad, it touches my heart too seeing someone like you who loves spending time with their children just as much as my dad did on the days he wasn’t so sick. I missed out on alot of things with my dad and you two just remind me of what me and my dad would’ve been like if he had been healthy and lived. Keep bonding with your children Daniel. Your children will always keep the memories you are making in their hearts forever.
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉. Great stuff guys. Thanks for the video. Daniel almost 40 years ago I took my son on his first deer hunt and now he takes me. Lol. We’ve hunted every year together since that day. You will never forget it partner. Houston That was cool and also a great shot.
Great buck Huston, and a perfect shot! A lot of adults can't even drop a deer that cleanly. And a good choice I might add. Always remember it's what's on the plate that matters, you can't EAT the antlers.
I can feel his excitement from here. I'm so happy for him. Way to go Houston. It's a nice looking buck. That buck went straight down. Eeeek. Sooo happy for you, buddy
Here I am, an avid hunter, a great grandma, and I can't stop being excited for Houston. Way to go , great shot, great Buck! You didn't rush it, you aimed, you shot! I am so proud of you! Congratulations!!
I'm such a cry baby. I'm sickly and with this covid have been home bound since March. I was soooo happy for Houston the tears just came. God bless you Daniel for being such a great dad. My husband passed when I was 48 I had to finish raising our kids alone. Bless your whole family
Congrats Houston. Just got chills watching this remembering my first season to deer hunting. This is something that will stick with you the rest of your life. Shot your first deer and spending quality time with your dad while doing it. Great job little buddie!!!!
I remember my first time shooting a gun. I was 7 years old, it was a .22 rifle. My uncle, a retired Army Field First Sergeant, took my brother and I out in the woods. My brother went first since he is a year older than me. He picked up the rifle and aimed, and aimed, and aimed.... and aimed, and missed the little stick we were shooting at. Then it was my turn. I picked up the rifle, lowered it till I could see the stick in the sights, let my breath out, squeezed the trigger and hit the stick. It just kind of came natural to me. My brother could never hit the broad side of a barn, I could most always hit the bullseye. When we were through shooting the .22 my uncle pulled out a Thompson submachine gun. Slapped a 100 round drum magazine in and let her rip. To this day, about 60 years later, I still remember the big grin on my uncles face and the twinkle in his eyes when he fired that thing.
I am proud for you Daniel that your children love and respect you so much by heeding your advice. When Houston stated he took aim where you said. Completely and totally priceless. It’s a privilege to witness great parenting. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Houston is just full of energy. I've been watching for 3 years and now seeing him shoot his first buck is amazing. Y'all raised great kid's. God bless you all.
This was. priceless . And Houstons face and reaction was just so special ... So glad you have this recorded... Memories you not only can talk about but all so watch again and again . Love it !!! Take care be and stay safe and happy !!!
Daniel you've done a great job raising a fine young man there . If more fathers spent the time with their kids . The world would be a lot better place .
Woot! Congrats Houston! Nice buck and you got him down fast! You will never forget this day...and thanks to your Dad for being the great Dad to take his kids hunting and teaching his kids the basics of life...Fabulous!
Congratulations Houston👏🏻. I could see Houstons excitement and trying to believe he really did it and dad the “proud” & love Just pouring from you. Thanks for sharing this experience. It did my heart good & my eyes drip. 😊
Houston great job on your 1st deer. His reaction is priceless. And he can watch video anytime, even to show his children years from now. Houston has grown up so much in the 4 years been watching AFH. (Other yt name Karen RN).!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to you Houston and proud papa... I was with my son on his first buck. Also with my grandson, the first time he took ....times that will always be locked in....
Congratulations Houston on your first deer. Thank you Daniel for teaching your kids the true meaning to taking a life. Houston, be sure to thank your deer giving it's life
This Gramma had to watch it again. I've never seen a video like this before. I don't hunt but like your Arms family stuff. I watch Jimmy Houston about Lucy all the time and it was cool to see the deer in your video before the shoot. Good job Houston! And I saw the picture of EmmaLee with her deer. Excellent memories for the kids. God bless you all.
Must be nice to live in a state where you can hunt at your age. I am older than you guys and am not allowed by my state laws to hunt deer I am eleven. Next year i can bow hunt though just for a bright side.
You should have told Houston it’s either a smear of deer blood on the face or you need to take a bite of the raw liver. Like on Dances with Wolves or Red Dawn. One or the other. It’s always a tradition among hunters :) Great shot Houston. He’s a nice meat buck. At the end of the day the meat is what matters. Thanks for taking us along. Take care, see ya :)
Such a proud & happy moment for both of you! It was emotional 😭 even for me. My grandson will be hunting this year for the first time, here on my property. I’m excited to see how it goes!
Congratulations you two I have been there with my kids also this has more meaning to me than getting one my self.. thanks for the video hope to see another one soon 🙏
I've been watching deer videos with your family all day and the buck with Houston reminds me of when I took my son and my son got his first five point buck thanks for the wonderful memories. Now my son is married and in the Marines so we haven't hunted for a while. Looking forward to getting back out there with him. Again thank you for all you do. I love watching all three of you get a deer.
Reminds me of my first hunt and kill. Some of my fondest memories, especially since my daddy has passed. Doesn't matter how old you get Houston...you will remember this for the rest of your life. Blessings and prayers How did Emily do????
Awesome Possum Houston! Daniel, I've been a subber for 18mos.-ish now. I know and understand your values and teachings and I support about everything I have seen. Some with a bit of envy most with Love & Respect. I watched the "Em" take that big sucker last year. I support these life lessons in so many ways. That being said it was amazing camera work as well and Houston made an EXCELLENT shot quick no suffering. But as a non-hunter that was a bit emotional for me. I raise my 2 goats for pets and dairy so it made me a little sad. But I was raised in the city I am 62 and none in my family have ever hunted though I was in the Army 40yrs ago and have fired a few weapons. Back to Houston, I remember his sadness (and your love & support, no criticism to his feelings just honest explanations) when you sent what was last years steer to the butcher ? Whopper? He has come a long way. You have raised him well. Time & a season for everything. Respect not waste. I wish I had farm/hunting more fishing experiences or I could have given them to my son had our highways been different. You and Deejay (sp?) are so blessed and raising great people. Keeping Jesus first you always will. Stay safe.
@@denisewilson8367 Thanks Denise... 😁 I was thinking this was Big Mac cause it was all I could think of.
