Is it even worth it for an European man to try to learn Arabic, considering how many dialects of arabic there are in the world, and classical arabic is hardly spoken by anyone on a daily basis, and in addition, arabs (especially young and middle-aged arabs recognize it) may make fun of you if you speak traditional arabic on the street. Any honest opinion from Arabic natives?
After learning basic grammar and vocab using classic Arabic as a foundation, try to focus on learning the easiest and the most widely spoken dialects, like Egyptian (most popular due to the widespread influence of Egyptian media in the Arab world) or Levantine (very easy and the closest to most of the other dialects). That way, you'll reach a good enough level while actually being to communicate with most Arabs and standing out less than if you try to speak classic Arabic. Channels like this one will probably be your biggest allies. Good luck!!!
Learn MSA to know how to write and read, that after reaching a certain level chose a dialect an learn it, like egyptian or levantine, if reach a certain level you will be able to understand other dialects without even learning them
