    I know the NASCAR season isn't over yet, but a nightmare Nascar season video on Legacy Motor Club would be a good one.

      Yuuuuup. Such a shame seeing a 7-time champion flounder in a backmarker car when he, respectfully, should've just retired after being eliminated trying to go for the 8th championship. I just don't see that happening if Hendrick aren't going to let him join as a driver again.

  • @Posirep
    @Posirep Месяц назад +82

    You forgot Ghiotto's defining moment on the season....running over Georgina's hand.
    Also Nolan Siegel
    is the one who yeeted Harvey into the wall at Gateway as a final fuck you to Coyne from Siegel lol

  • @VitorShadowSouza
    @VitorShadowSouza Месяц назад +75

    And now teams are limited to 3 drivers per car starting next year... I'm already calling it the "Dale Coyne rule"

    • @Posirep
      @Posirep Месяц назад +1

      Except Coyne has always only run 2 cars Except the Indy 500 every now and then

      @@Posirep Drivers changes are also limited by rules now. What Coyne did this year is outlawed for 2025.

      Dumb rule honestly, teams that are doing this aren't competing for championships as is

    Although Coyne may be at the back, I’m glad he gives drivers a chance when nearly all won’t. It’s why he’s one of my underdog team favorites.

  • @realpiemaster
    @realpiemaster Месяц назад +30

    Coyne always has cycles of years where the lineup rotates every week and they are just there for the paycheck, knowing the results won't be there, and then years where he gets a flux of cash and a good driver/engineering combo that competes for several podiums. Unfortunately for Dale, once he gets good drivers and Engineers and Strategists, they move on to the teams that will pay more money, thus relegating Coyne to continue this cycle.

    The driver merry-go-round at DCR was an interesting storyline during the season. It was nice to see Ghiotto race in IndyCar and I don't think he did a bad job in his first couple of races at least. And I was rooting for Vautier during Detroit as he defended from everyone in the top 10, and I was really impressed with Sowery's efforts. Not sure any of them are likely to be on the grid next year though, it'll probably depend on who brings funding. I'd love Sowery to get a drive though.

    I love this channel because it gives me insights on teams i normally never would've cheered or paid attention to and makes me want to see them succeed. And your closing point is exactly right, these long running teams should try and stay for as long as they can because it's what motorsport is all about. Keep up the great vids.

    Among the worst seasons of Indycar i can list 2022 AJ Foyt - With Kyle Kirkwood constantly crashing, Dalton Kellet being Dalton Kellet and halted Tatiana Calderon's stint, who (except Indianapolis) was mainly fighting with Jimmie Johnson to become the first among winners.

    • @dominicbarden4436
      @dominicbarden4436 Месяц назад

      To be fair to DCR, they have won races, six of them to be exact, with Justin Wilson and Sébastien Bourdais taking two each and Mike Conway and Carlos Huertas taking the others. Bourdais had even led the championship early in the 2017 season until his campaign was curtailed by his crash at Indianapolis during qualifying for the 500, which ruled him out for most of the rest of the year.
