Sometimes one has to pause because if they speak too fast, they may be prompted by the person they’re talking to “please slow down, we’re having difficulty keeping track of what you’re saying. Don’t rush”.

He's described Donald Trump as "a sick fuck" in private and even his aides say he cusses like a sailor. But for some reason, he keeps that habit in check for the cameras. I'm 78 and I am old. BUT, I own my own company, paint and write. I have an active life, BUT I am wise and sure, cautious and decisive. I live alone and take care of all household matters and love to travel. No, WSJ, I am old BUT better. So, go away.
I had a co-worker age 23. He said, “Do you notice that I pause sometimes?” He said, “I stutter and when I pause I am trying to think of a word I can say without stuttering.” I had no idea he stuttered. I had never heard him stutter.
I used to talk so fast that I would have to repeat everything I said slower and that caused me to stammer. A stutter/stammer is usually a sign of higher intelligence rather than lower.
Because a lot of us with issues like a stutter find ways to hide it or cope with it (depending on scenario). Besides a bit of a stutter I have at times issues pronouncing certain words wrong - and not something crazy like 'Sarcophagus' I mean actually some simple ones like 'sit' - which when I say it wrong sounds more like I'm saying 's---', or 'sip' sounding like 'ship' - which between that getting me sent to the in-school speech therapist (even though I was self correcting and the therapist actually made it worse) and kids making fun of that and my stutter I learned to avoid certain words in public. I'd almost never say 'sit down' always 'take a seat' or the like - always subbing in other words or phrases for ones that I'd either stutter on or occasionally flubbed saying right. Not sure if it's any better these days - but I know in the 90's people thought issues like this meant you were dumb or the like.

God bless our president...he's had 2 aneurysms in the past, which could cause him to have verbal gaffs! He also was a stutterer, as a child. Once he starts the war, there will be no more GPUs. No more cell phones. No more cars. No more Walmart. Young people will be shipped off involuntarily. Biden's economic recovery plan involves recreating the conditions after world war 2. I had a co-worker age 23. He said, “Do you notice that I pause sometimes?” He said, “I stutter and when I pause I am trying to think of a word I can say without stuttering.” I had no idea he stuttered. I had never heard him stutter.
He's given talks about it, too. I've read that he donates to a charity for folks with speech impediments, but I can't find that at the moment.
I used to talk so fast that I would have to repeat everything I said slower and that caused me to stammer. A stutter/stammer is usually a sign of higher intelligence rather than lower.
Because a lot of us with issues like a stutter find ways to hide it or cope with it (depending on scenario). Besides a bit of a stutter I have at times issues pronouncing certain words wrong - and not something crazy like 'Sarcophagus' I mean actually some simple ones like 'sit' - which when I say it wrong sounds more like I'm saying 's---', or 'sip' sounding like 'ship' - which between that getting me sent to the in-school speech therapist (even though I was self correcting and the therapist actually made it worse) and kids making fun of that and my stutter I learned to avoid certain words in public. I'd almost never say 'sit down' always 'take a seat' or the like - always subbing in other words or phrases for ones that I'd either stutter on or occasionally flubbed saying right. Not sure if it's any better these days - but I know in the 90's people thought issues like this meant you were dumb or the like.
