- This is a tutorial full of helpful tips on everything to do with the FIFA 15 Career Mode Youth Academy. I talk about the scouts and where to send them in what regions to scout players for your club.

I also talk about how to find strikers easily in the scout reports so that you can promote them to your youth academy and develop them to become complete forwards.
You'll learn about how to get your head scouts experience and judgement up to five stars for all three of them and how to find 94 rated potential young players.
At the end i go through the squad report to show you right at the end of the young players careers what stats and rating i got them up to.
There are loads of complete midfielders and complete defenders, with many of the players getting above 90 rated. These tips work well for the Xbox One, PS4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

ever since I've watched this video I've been getting 77-94 potential players at 15 years old then went up to 88-94 when 16 potential wise
If you want players with good pace and physical stats, you should just promote them pre-may. Yes, they will have a lower rating, but they will grow to the same potential eventually, but this time they'll also grow in their pace and physical stats.

What do u mean by pre-May?
On May 1 they get a bump in overall but its glitchy and 99% of the time freezes their physical stats. You could have a 76 rated 17 year old striker with 81 finishing and 44 sprint speed
AustralianPennington Actually 44 sprint speed isn't the worst, the worst thing is 35 stamina, which affects a lot more. But yeah, some people just love the overall rating and don't care about how they play in game.

Mitch Gerber Oh yeah i never use to bother with the youth players but as you can see from the squad report at the end they are extremely OP and high rated quite early on.
On my arsenal career mode I had a Spanish cdm who started at 68 and his potential was 92

I have a youth player called Che Adams who has 97 sprint speed and 98 acceleration. he is naturally a CAM but on his details it shows he can also play as a ST. And he has "potential to be special". God bless

From what I've seen when I play, it's best to leave the defensive minded players in the academy till they've had the may update. Everyone else I usually promote due to them needing to grow in the physical stats area. Btw the RB you had is the "Bale" type, he is great at the back and you can convert them to a winger.

HERE'S THE BEST ADVICE ON YOUTH ACADEMY PLAYERS:
[UPDATED: 7/31/15]
This works best for teams with enough money for 3 5*5* scouts and enough money to sign ~20 youth players a season.
Stagger your scouting visits 1 day apart and at least weak after the 1st of the month. I use the 8th, 9th, and 10th because the 8th is always directly under the 1st of the month on the calendar.
When a new report comes in write down the name of any player EXCEPT CAMs with a max potential over approximately 85. CAM is the easiest position in the game to be rated highly, so therefor it literally always produces the "weakest" highly rated players. CAM needs the least overall # of total attribute points to for a high rating, CM needs the most. Therefor, good CMs as the best players in the game. An attacking academy CM with the same rating as an attacking academy LW/RW, for example, will always be an overall better player.
Anyway, go to player search, find those players, and add them to My Shortlist. Then go into My Shortlist and check their work rates and weak foot and skill moves. Sign ANY player with 4* weak foot and high or medium attacking/defending work rate (depending upon whether they play attack or defense). And that's it, don't sign high potential players with 1* weak foot or low work rates for their position.
Promote LITERALLY signed players IMMEDIATELY, regardless of type or position, except for GKs. Don't wait for the May update. GKs seem to be broken and not progress beyond around 78 OVR for me, but I'm looking for a work around on this.
Cut any player that hasn't grown physically after 2-3 months on the team.
Once your players that are developing physically have gotten to a 60+ OVR, loan them out each window and save before recalling them to make sure their potential is "Has Potential To Be Special" or at least "Exciting Prospect".
Let them develop on your team until they are 19 years old or 20 years old, tops. If they're 20 years old and still in the low 70's or 60's in the winter transfer window because of how low their OVR started, swap them for a terrible a computer player on a low level team that will be able to afford their wages -- I put all my players on Bohemian FC (Airtricity League) -- and add them to My Shortlist. The reason you need to swap the players instead of selling them is players' potentials don't change when you swap them, they do when you sell them.
*Also, as best I can tell, the players you've swapped will grow the most in position specific technical categories. So, if you have an attacking midfielder, usually their passing, vision, etc. will actually grow more than their finishing, even if finishing is higher. Etc.
Near the end of the winter transfer window turn all your money into wages and sign a free agent GK for as much as you can per week. This is done to save whatever money you would've had at the end of the year so the CPU doesn't reset your transfer budget and make the money you had left over from the previous season disappear. And you will need every dime when you're trying to buy back 3 or 4 79 OVR 20 year old players with "Has Potential To Be Special" potential statuses.
Computer players actually progress in rating on May 1st from what I can tell and if you've sold a player (not swapped) or scouted a player who has a high potential and has achieved a rating over 80 OVR, their updated stats will be visible at the end of the season in the Successful Transfers section of Transfer Negotiations, and in My Shortlist. If you swapped the player and added them to My Shortlist, you'll see their stats if their over 80 OVR, and if not you will need to scout them to see their new progressed stats.
The next year, immediately swap the GK for a nobody you can immediately cut, then sign back your swapped youth academy player from Bohemian FC or wherever you put them. The player will have grown like a computer player and will be somewhere in the range of 76-82 OVR with high physical stats. The earlier you can do this, the better. Once back on your team, loan them out to return them from the loan and get their potential back to "Has Potential To Be Special". Then play with them and all their stats will continue to grow as they should to begin with, and they will be highly rated even though they never went through a May update. Soon they progress FAR past the May update players even if their OVR is the same because they're attributes in physical stats are far superior to the post-may players. And actually playing the games with them leaves no comparison between the quality of the pre-may and post-may players once their OVRs are similar.
It's crucial you buy them back immediately because they may have turned 21 by now or will be soon and you'll need 4 months to see their potential again, then another window or 2 to get their potential back to "Has Potential To Be Special" before their potential stops showing for good when they turn 22 years old.
ALSO:
- The youth scouts change once a week. Sunday I believe.
- The player position is always the middle position of the 3 positions. Always. (with 5*5* scouts)
- The best "region" is Argentina & Brazil by far, then Spain, then Portugal, Italy, Central Europe, etc.
- You can get strikers with Winger, Physically Strong, and Technically Gifted
- Strikers DO NOT come in the pattern you mentioned, they come when the striker is the elbow between CM, ST, LW/RW pattern
- Any position pattern that contains a CF/CAM will ALWAYS result in a player that is a CF/CAM
- Physically Strong players are the most likely players to grow physically after the May update
***** I can follow everything you say, but i'm curious, why do the business with the GK to sign them for high wages and then swap them for a player you will eventually cut only to sign your original player back?
Odene Brathwaite The GK signing is to carry over the budget from 1 season to the next that would normally be reset by the computer the next season, rather than added to.

You know that you can tell the overall based on the value on the contract screen? 1.1m pounds is 70ish 2.2 is 74-75, 65 is like 375k

I have a 90 rated regen right back from England called Ryan Toffolo. He is only 23 (90 rated at 23!!!!) and has INSANE stats, amazing crossing, pace, stamina, tackling.... he is so good. Its only 2020 and I'm pretty sure he could grow to like 96 overall. I bought him in the fourth season from everton and he was 84 rated at like 20 years old or something, for about 20mil. I recommend just have fun i mean theres no point bothering to do all of this glitching and shit it just fucks up everything... like look at all these players they have no physical stats... buy them from other teams or just grow them yourself and don't worry about glutting they will turn out good some of them, so don't worry.

The RB is only 89 because it is rating him as a right back and only using certain stats of his to formulate this number

Sign a "legend" physically strong. Wait some months until his potential is defined to 88-94 or even better 90-94. It doesn't matter if he's 45 overall, sign him before may if he's 88-94 potential. If you sing him before may if his potential it's something like 88-94, he will grow in EVERYTHING and you will get an amazing fast tall strong striker with 95+ finishing and header...
I'm sorry but this video actually doesn't help. This is not the way to get beast players...you can have the may update just with goalkeeper and LB/RB (searching for winger or attacker you can find LB/RB fast as fuck), that's all. You can't get the players to have the may update because they will not grow up in physical stats and they will be shit. That's it.
Oh and something about the position, you were wrong there too. The definitive position of the scouted player is always "the one in the middle"...I know it doesn't make sense like this, I'm making an example:
if you want to find a ST, then the 3 little yellow man will be positioned like this: CM, ST and LW/RW.
If, like you said, you have CM, CF and ST, then you'll player will be a CF, you know, it's in the middle.
If you search for a LB, then the little yellow guys will be positioned as CB, LB and LM.
That's how it works.
What do you mean when you say to keep refreshing to get the potential to be special? Like keep loading the game before they accept your contract? Just a bit confused.

Fair play to the fella for going to the bother of fixing the game to grow players, but it kind of takes the fun out of it.
I only ever had 1 player who reached 93, all my others have been 80-88.

I know I’m years late but I have an issue. I have top scouts looking for top players, I manage to recruit about 10 players each season to the youth squad that have a potential of 90+. Now my problem is that their overall is always below 60 which means their potential is actually around 80 or less. Until the league finishes each season.. then all of my youth squads overall goes up to 65-75 which is what it should be. Why does it jump all of a sudden? My youth squad don’t want to wait a whole season to be signed and they keep leaving because I can’t sign a 49 rated player that won’t progress high enough. It’s ridiculous I’m losing players left right and centre. It’s unrealistic how a 49 rated player will jump in one day from 49 to 75. Someone please explain!!

How exactly do you glitch the potentials? Is it just signing the player, saving the game, and then leaving the game and coming back until they have potential to be special?

for me i would scout in december for 3 months, then scout with 5 star 5 star scouts, then after the may upgrade comes up they should be high in overall
So I have a career mode with AFC Wimbledon and I got a scout who had 1 star Experience and 2 star Judgement and while he was in Ireland.... I found a player named Hugh Murphy who had high potential. So I signed him into my Youth Academy and now his potential is 90-94! (He is a CB, Physically Strong) So should I sign him in April or May? I hope he is the next Beckenbauer/Maldini.

In one of my career modes, my most promising players in the youth academy are said to be 16-17. But when I promote them, it turns out that they are 60-61 years old and that they're retiring at the end of the season. Has this ever happened to you?

hey fifa solved. i have a RB who is really promising, he has potential to be special and his overall is 64. but when i looked at his stats i saw that he is with 16 years more loke the new robben. he is from netherlands, strong left foot, weak right foot, came already with 86 pace, he has almost everything that a winger need, but just decent stats for RB which got him 64 rated. I am playing him now as a RW, in which he is great, a lot of games he is man of the match. is there a possibility that his position changes? or that he might grow also offensive stats, so that he can stay as a RW, or do you think he will only grow defensive stats and i can put in on RB later when he developed?
Ah and another question is, can GK in the YA still "grow" (i have a goalkeeper who is just tiny with 15 years but might go to 94)?
Hessengor Yes there's every possibility that his attacking stats will grow you'll have to monitor his progress and yes goalkeepers do develop in the YA.

The lack of physical stats destroyed this part of the game for me completely. Way back when you got a player in a Pos, the stats followed therafter. A winger would dribble, have a lot of speed and stamina etc. The striker would maybe not be as fast, but still be a great finisher and have great short passing. This year it's like the career mode department let their sons have a go at making fifa, forgot to add speciffic stats and just make every stats insane for everyone with potential to be great instead. Like my CB that's a complete attacker. Forgot Virtual pro in manager mode and so on. It's insane that fifa 15 is in fact a downgraded fifa 14 in many many ways. specially in career. The defendig glich is not there any more, but they compensated by making keepers horrible..... Can't wait for fifa 16, thank good it's right around the corner, and that those who's played the beta verson says it's much better.
I got 5 beast youth talents from Russia and Saudi Arabia who were 78, 79,72,79 and 68 respectively and at 2024 they went up to above 94...... So Russia and Saudi also dose gives us beast youth players

Well it depends on the form of your players....I m nt telling that u should keep playing them play them twice or thrice it will surely boost your player potentials
+vicky singh actually you can turn any player into a star if you put in the time. My LW from Northern Ireland started out as a 42 overall with 72-79 potential. Now he is 19 72 overall with "an exciting prospect" tag. But his physicals wont grow even though i signed him pre-may :(

+Games1eklas select the player (A for Xbox) (X for PS4) and a window should pop up and ask what you would like to do with the player selected. You can either sign the player, reject the player, or continue scouting.

NaweedK00 I just chose players who were physically strong from the scout instructions. There is no guaranteed way but that way seems the best way forward.
But i want everything on the physical stats to increase for example sprint speed and agility and all the others. I have realized that you have to promote them pre may but is there a chance that you can increase all the physical stats after may?
NaweedK00 The pre-May thing seems to be the way forward for what you want, i will do a video on pace and physical stats from the youth academy soon.
+NaweedK00 It is 90% guranteed that your player wont grow physically if you sign him post may. You have a better chance of a player growing physically if you sign them pre-may. However that isnt guranteed that they will grow. Right now I have a LW that i signed when he was 16 with a 42 overall, his potential was 72-79. He's now 19 with a 72 overall rating but his physicals haven't gone up a single point. I heard sometimes players wont grow physically until 22 or 23, so I will wait but as of now I can't use him because he is too slow.

Harrison Hopper Players just develop naturally, there is no way to get it up manually but scouting for players who're physically strong would probably do it Harrison.

Whenever I go to Brazil or Argentina I don't end up getting players as good as yours but when I go to Ivory Coast I have potential crazy players ????? Strange??

Look for Evinhofutball on youtube. He has several videos on finding fast players.

Alienman1212 No not really as i don't want their potential glitched to be worser than has potential to be special so i just play them instead.
The region's don't matter for me, I got an 75 rated Australian CF with potential to be special who was only 16 years old
Cameron Fogarty Nice, yeah the regions if higher simply deliver more 94 potential players on a more consistent basis, but you can still get good players elsewhere like you said about Australia.
