Im taking out my Felony this afternoon, 75 and sunny. After that, putting a 4 pound chuck roast on the smoker, some margaritas, etc. Life is good brotha, the infraction is my next purchase. Sorched RC is awesome, get the titanium chassis plates that create sparks.
Great call getting the fender kit. I run with no front splitter except for speed runs. I used shoe goo on the front of the body. I also cranked up the suspension for better ground clearance except for speed runs. The Infraction is so awesome. It's literally unbelievable how your youngest handled the rc!!! Thanks for posting!
It’s tough to cut out. You really need to follow the cut lines and it glides through. I’ve done about 4 sets now and it’s much easier.!!! Scorched FTW for sure!!!
I just got one nib on ebay. Pretty much just to chop it, with kit from someone far more talented than me. I'll be adding fender skirts and running boards.. they help fill out the look.. Only problem, too nice to wreck...
Suggestion 1. Get the 1717 1650KV monster combo. Get a spool, run a 34 on the spool, which is the sweet spot. then go up from there on the pinion. You want to be about 300-400 in current when running. Suggestion 2. true your suspension, all of your tires should be flat on the ground, and all facing forward. if you want some tow that's on you, but it will give or take a mile or so. But speed runs it's all or nothing. Suggestion 3 Use 100 mile hour tape for the inside of the body and get the weight to the front. Get yourself a 3D printer and make some battery trays, more them forward. truck will not flow air to well. You can 3D print a nascar wing for the truck 3D printers are very helpful. Just a regular ender 3 works great. HOONs are garbage. I use Contact Foams JB35B Front/JB25B Back, those other tires called the fruit thing are garbage, and useless. they will chip and fail and cost too much. No one is going to tell you what I have. I have learned from the best, and share what I learned. everyone can be as fast as their skills. Spending money doesn't make you fast, it all about skill. I wish you well, and I hope I have saved you some money.
Appreciate all the tips. We have a few more videos going through edit. That motor/esc combo may already be in the truck. I cannot confirm or deny. 🤣 I hoping to draw a little on my experience with salt flat speed runs and both half mile and mile speed runs. Aero is big. Getting the air in and out. This won’t be our speed run vehicle but still going to make it fast. Thank you again for all the info.
Scorched parts titanium longer screw and nut for splitter. BasherQueen carbon fiber splitter. Titanium Ackerman plate from Scorched Parts. My Ackerman plate bent up at only a 35mph hit (into a concrete pillar) Have fun.
I realize this is 5 months old but anyway. Dude I have a set of those scorched RC fenders for the felony and they are way cool for saving the mess. But you gotta REALLY watch the temps since the fenders keep the air from flowing. Nice video!! 👍
Please help and suggest I am confused and unable to make decision between Felony Vs Infraction. Felony looks so awesome and tempting but has rear tires and different differentials whereas Infraction is same platform all rounder with okish looks. Please help whether I should go with Felony or infraction
Front splitter fix. Use a skinny zip tie, run it threw the hole, and then put the screw right threw the hole. It will be tight again. Too easy. You can use a bread tie as well. you can use a hair dryer to straighten up that, too easy.
You’re a great dad bro… I wouldn’t let my son drive my Infraction unless we were at a HUGE open parking lot. Your patience is impressive 👍
Appreciate the positivity! It was an easy fix which was nice
