I bought the ex-15 to show you if there are any changes made to it. It's the exact same as the old "Prime" bike except different packaging and they took the sticker off the frame. When you load the app it even shows "prime" in the bike name in the software. This bike is basically the exact same as the Walmart echelon connect sport too, I have a video comparing these two bikes side by side. timestamps: 1:00 what's different? 2:18 echelon ex-15 assembly 9:13 connecting to app 10:25 demo
My girlfriend and I are looking into buying an echelon but we can’t decide if we should get the sport version from Walmart or the ex-15 from Amazon. What’s the difference? Which one is better ?
Sir. It is official. You have a serious problem. And apparently I do too because I can't stop watching these videos. Always informative. I got my park tool the other day and was able to adjust my cleat tension with the help of your video. No problems. Thanks. Keep them coming and I'll keep watching and liking and sharing.
Hi Matt, I just want to say thank you for taking the time to review all of these indoor cycle bikes. I initially thought I would buy the Costco ICI for $419 but I decided to buy the Echelon EX-15 after watching your reviews, on Amazon with your link and it arrived today. The delivery was excellent and your video to set it up was great and helped my husband assemble so easily. I did my first ride and I absolute loved the on demand class and the bike is quiet and comfortable. I feel so good 😊 worked up a good sweat. Thanks for helping me find my first cycle bike.
I ordered the X-15 today because of your reviews. I have used an airdyne for years and used a belt drive Exerpeutic last year and surprisingly enjoyed it. I was longing for a well made spinning bike that did not break the bank and you helped me make my decision.
I have a old golds gym 310 spin bike that I've been using quite a bit since the pandemic. I'm high risk and the gym is a no for me right now. My husband use to teach spin and I love it. We updated all the equipment in our home gym but couldn't decide on a spin bike (over a year later), until I came across your videos. Finally I decided to get this echelon model from Amazon and also bought YBEKI SPD Hybrid pedals with toe clip and straps with the long spindle and nuts. So far seems like a good buy hopefully that won't change.
Awesome , mine comes in a couple days! Can’t believe how weak my legs have become during COViD restrictions and I’m looking forward to getting back in track.
Hi, just crushed a ton of your videos! Any chance you could do a video discussing how to set up any bike to fit you perfectly, and how your body should be positioned for the best experience on a spin bike? Thanks!
I’m new to your channel. Thanks for the in depth videos on the this bike. Mine should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to get back in the saddle and ride again.
It took me about 30m to assemble the bike. The difficult points were the right peddle and seat. On the right peddle, the nut on the bolt along with the opposite twist took some time. And getting the seat to clamp down on the post required a bit of effort as the seat slides along the rails. One thing I would suggest is getting a bike seat tool bag and place the tools in and attach the bag to the seat.
Ok, I needed an alternative cardio for my days that I can't run... Biking is it, and this is the bike. Thanks for your extensive reviews. Maybe throw a Pooboo in there sometime, it was between the echelon (pricey) and the pooboo (supercheap), but since you never reviewed the pooboo, echelon was the one.
Hey buddy, unfortunately my seat didn’t come assembled from the bottom screws. You mind next time showing a video on how to assemble it please? Thanks 🙏🏽
Thanks for all your videos, really helped me decide what to get. I ended up getting the Walmart version. It was delivered 4 days earlier than expected. Assembly wasn’t too bad except the pedals were a pain. So far I’m very happy with it!
I sat on two Echelons at Dick's. They were falling apart. The handlebars felt ok, but they had all this lint and paper stuck to them from wiping them down with paper towels. They didn't look easy to clean and kind of on the cheaper side. The flat part of the handlebars is nice. Overall, the bike didn't seem to survive being a floor model, so I don't know how long it will survive at home. We bought the Keiser M3i. Quality was on another level. Super sturdy. Smooth. Build to last.
I just got my Echelon ex-15 but it seems that it forces people to buy the app membership. How can I use and connect for free to do the freestyle rides?
They were out of stock last night, and I checked this morning they're BACK! I got mine YAY! ALSO I know my behind is gonna need that gel seat cover, so which one will fit on it?? comment please I needs it :D
Interesting that on the Bluetooth pairing it still was calling it the "Prime" bike. So, it certainly is just a simple relabel as far as the naming goes and the removal of the sticker. :)
The handle bars on the Walmart. Com. version are way better. Other than that. It's the same bike. Best option if you can't afford a peleton. Echelon instructors are legit.
I tried a peloton and I am in love with bike+. But I dont have the money to buy it so what will be the bike that I should buy that is closest in all the features and finctionalities to Peloton bike+ but may be a third of the price! Bike+ pedal with cleat and forward or back moving seat feature is specially attractive to me because I am short and most of the spin bikes are made for tall people who can reach.
Hey man! Love the video! Are you able to send me a link to buy a phone holder for the EX15? I have a big Samsung phone and seem to can't find one to put in the middle like you did. Because i wanted to use my ipad and a phone mount. Thank you!!
Thank you for all of your videos - after watching them, I decided to purchase the Echelon EX-15! I put the bike together and the quality seems great. Once I downloaded the app and tried using it, saw that on my app it doesn’t show any of the stats. Have you heard of this happening?? I own an Apple phone and was thinking that might have something to do with it.
great video, just got my Ex-15 as well , follow your instruction for assembling, and it works out great! Thank you for making this video. btw, wonder if I need to unplug the bike when I am not using it?
Thanks for this video! I just got my bike today and I put it together following your instructions! It was quick and effecient. Any recommendation on buying SPD clips to add to my pedals so I can use my cycling shoes?
8:08 ..does the locking nut screw all the way down to crank arm? Mine stops after a couple of turns and when I try hard the metal/nylon insert starts to come out.
I purchased the ex-15 from amazon came with the missing stabilizer that goes in the bottom of the back part of the bike .I contacted amazon and they got me in touch with the echelon customer service and they said they didn’t know Amazon renamed the bike so they had to get back to me about my replacement because they have to talk to Amazon .Haven’t heard back yet hopefully soon 😔
Hi there. I'm new to the channel and cycling. I've watched a lot of your review/comparison videos (very helpful thank you). But I still have so many questions on a "first bike". Going back and forth between the $1000 range and $500 range bikes such as ic4, ex5/3 vs this ex-15 and others in same class. Any recommendations.
I've had an IC4 a couple months. I justified it because I thought the display would make it easier for my wife, and the cadence/HR sensors with Peloton digital. I'm leaning towards Apple Fitness + now - where knowing exact resistance and cadence #'s are not as important. IC4 cadence on the display is so tiny. And a local Echelon Connect Sport unopened was on FB marketplace for $300! Or new Echelon Primes on Ebay for $400. Do you get more with a $900 bike vs. $500? Heavier flywheel, handlebars that adjust fore/aft. If I was buying today I'd probably save $400 and go with a version of the Echelon. The only thing holding me back 100% is whether the IC4 is a better build, etc. - and I have no reason to suggest it is other than I paid more!!
question about the freestyle section of the app does it record the data of your ride to review later to see how well you did in the past vs now or is it just a one-and-done thing?
I bought the ex-15 to show you if there are any changes made to it. It's the exact same as the old "Prime" bike except different packaging and they took the sticker off the frame. Never mind bro...I found it on another of your videos...you guys rule...Thank you

@@AceMHATherian we got the EX 15 from Amazon and absolutely love it

I watched all of your comparisons and decided to get this model. I’ve had it for a few days and absolutely love it!!! Thanks a bunch!
Happy riding!

You saved me sooooo much time putting this together! I was able to follow along with no issues. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the video! The bike did not come with instructions and I was totally lost until I watched your video!
Perfect timing! Mine is arriving Wednesday! Thank you for helping me pick my first spin bike! These instructions will also be helpful!
I wasn’t sure if I needed to put the block back in lol, thank you! And thank you for showing the demo at the end
Welcome 🙏 happy riding
I love your channel! You helped me purchase my first spin bike! Thank you for the best reviews!
Awesome! We setup our Connect just now through your tutorial!!!
Just got my EX 15 today and put it together with your video...love all your videos...thanks for doing them
My EX-15 bike arrived a day early from Amazon! Thank you for the video as it helps knowing what I am getting into!
Your video really helped with assembly. The manual the bike came with was not very helpful. Thank you for creating this.
I’m amazed that you still have room for additional bikes!

My seat wouldn't go on so I took it apart and can't get it back together can you do a video on how to put it back together
Is there a specific heart rate monitor you have to use with the app or does something like the Scoche Rhythm Plus work fine?
I would love to see a review of the Stryde Bike!
Thanks for all your videos, really helped me decide what to get. I ended up getting the Walmart version. It was delivered 4 days earlier than expected. Assembly wasn’t too bad except the pedals were a pain. So far I’m very happy with it!
Great to hear!
Thanks for sharing your know -how.

Can you do a video on aftermarket saddles/seats? The best fit and angle set up to avoid saddle pain and numbness?
Noted
I can't get the bolts off the pedals for the life of me. I'm turning the left clockwise and the whole thing just keeps turning endlessly
They were out of stock last night, and I checked this morning they're BACK! I got mine YAY! ALSO I know my behind is gonna need that gel seat cover, so which one will fit on it?? comment please I needs it :D

The instructions in the manual from Echelon was pretty poor. Your video was of great help, from unboxing to setup. Thanks much

what about Pooboo or pyhigh any plans on reviewing those?
great video, just got my Ex-15 as well , follow your instruction for assembling, and it works out great! Thank you for making this video.

Doesn't hurt either way I dont think. Thank you. Happy riding!

Is the output read out for the echelon the same for the peloton?
Since the resistance is different wouldn't the output be different?
Anyway to make Bluetooth more stable, seems to have low signal unless the iPad or phones are touching the blue led area?
Constant disconnects.
8:08 ..does the locking nut screw all the way down to crank arm? Mine stops after a couple of turns and when I try hard the metal/nylon insert starts to come out.
Thanks for the review. Does this bike consume a lot of power since it should be plugged in? Watts?
Hi
i could not download the app without monthly membership payment, do you have any other idea pls let me know

Did you link the clip in peddles....I didn’t see it
how do you change thw seat? i want something morecomfortable?
Wrench 🔧
What size of ipad does it hold, i have ipad 11"-is this bike suitable t.i.a.
Which are the spd clips i need to buy to add to the pedals? Can you please post a link where I can purchase them? Thank you :)

Do you have a link to add the spd option to the pedal?...I’ve been looking and don’t know exactly what to look for...Thank you
Can you use the FulGaz or Zwift app with this bike?
Any idea what clips we can add to the pedals? Want to get some cycling shoes but unclear as to how to set it all up.
Is the Echelon Fit app compatible with iPhone/iPad?
Will the rear stabilizer / feet attachment of this bike fit on the Walmart version?
Anyone have a link or recommendation to a clip on attachment for the pedal to convert to clip in shoes? I have the Walmart version.
Is the Echelon fit app free to check your metrics or would I have to have a subscription?
Free for metrics display
Did you have any clicking issues with the bike? I have some clicking from the inside the unit when I’m pedaling through at the highest resistance!
Same with mine, clicking is coming from the left side and happens when I’m standing out of the saddle
Do you have a review for the stages bike?
have been eyeing it, saw one far sale locally here, its expensive! not sure ho many would want to see a review on it, anyone?
Do you have to have the app to use this bike or can you use it without app. The app is 39 a month.
You dont need to pay for echelon to use the freestyle mode and get your metrics
Do the pooboo.... I want to buy it but I need to hear your opinion. Lol
noted
oh lordy 🤦
Lol
I would love to see a review for the SpinCo Podium bike!
