So quick question, will our mates help out with the scent marking especially those with the bold , energetic, or loner personality probably scent mark on their own or they’ll just do it when we do it?
It would be so cool if you could actually see your wolf's stomach growing instead of how it did pregnancy and pups in the older version. Like, there could be a time period for it and then it could tell you when you're giving birth and you have to go back to your den and then it'll snap to your pups. XD That would be so cool!
2 Activities i'm definitely going to do when SC comes out: 1. The fact that in SC, unlike AM, where pack territories can grow and actually take over the "whole map" if possible, I'd love to have that happen and commence pack war :) (All I do in AM is fight, XD sorry) 2. The interesting designs with the hexes, like the strength of the mark is how bright or dim the marked hex is, I would love to do little projects of like... Making neat designs with the shapes... Make words, or shapes, or objects, with this great shading kinda thing. I just kinda picked that out and thought it looked cool. (I wish we could choose our "mark territory" color though XD, I want a blue territory). Anyway, this is amazing, 10-20 years you've been with this game? Well, never stop, please, this is probably the best wolf game I've ever come across, and play it for hours. I can't wait for more. Also, since I fight a lot in AM, I wish that the whole, "if you enter a pack territory" on the compass it'd show a wolf sign to lead you that way, and then maybe improve the "wolf pack" scents(like it was in 2.7 where you could follow a scent line directly to the wolf), the wolf pack scent dots can make me run hours trying to follow it, only to either go way outside the territory, or go to the edge of the map, and no wolves whatsoever. The only way I attract wolves really is if I sleep in the territory, which gets kind of annoying XD So I was wondering if that could be a little improved, since the coordinates aren't always accurate, until then, Love the game, can't wait for more.
This! is! So! Cool! Just the idea of a competition with the other packs gets me really excited because it's a really good concept. The pressure to mark your own territory before another pack grabs it, the chance to steal territory you want from someone else, not to mention all the other cool features like variety in how you mark. I'm also glad you're revising it to be much more playable for the player -- the scent posts are not only accurate but also practical, and the lack of no longer needing to renew everything every five minutes is going to cut so much stress out! Every time I watch your videos I just get so excited, it's ridiculous, like, aaah it's too good!!
To be honest, i also "took over" some territories in amethist moutains by peeing all over them, i mean it just dissapeares and not belong to me but it was still satisfaction when i could sleep at somewhere i earned to be safe~
Love it. I do have one question a Wolf Quest sometime in the future are you guys going to post a video on how the wolf pups that you raise and the game how they are going to grow up and eventually the pack. I was wondering if you guys have turn to work on the behaviour of the wolves and stuff when they're that age
@@WolfQuestGame Will Tower Fall be a DLC or will it automatically be updated into the game? I'm just wondering so that I know if I need to clean horse stalls for the DLC or not. lol
The upcoming episode Tower Fall will continue your life with pups. What will be in the new episode? In the first weeks of June, the pups frolic at the rendezvous site in Slough Creek while their parents bring them their first meals of fresh elk meat. When the elk herds move down into the Lamar Valley, the pack follows - only to find other packs have already established territories in the valley. So they journey further south, up and over Specimen Ridge, then down into the valley of the Yellowstone River. There, on the banks of the Yellowstone, with Tower Fall thundering nearby, the pack makes a new home amidst fellow predators and plentiful prey. Here the pack will stake out a new territory, protect their family from danger, and and raise a new generation of skilled hunters. The Tower Fall expansion will be an in-game purchase (DLC) and released after WQ3. Follow development of Tower Fall at WolfQuest.org/blog
I got home from school and watched TV for a bit, then something clicked in my head, saying, "Did wolfquest post a video yet?" And lmao I sprinted to my computer and never turned it on faster
By the way did you see Idea. That it would be cool if you can take bone from carcasses or maybe instead of is the carcass going into the ground of when it’s finished you can pick up the bone and you can pick them up and chew them or you can possibly give it to your pup to chew the when that comes out
When is Wolfquest 3 going to add in spread, stamina, and strength? Just curious!😁 P.S Love the game and what you guys are adding. Keep up the great work!🐺🐾

The unpredictable aspect of the game and realism makes it that more exciting! Im in love with every part of it! Thank you WQ team for making a part of my life that much more bearable with Wolfquest!
WOW!! I was hoping for much better gameplay at the territory marking part and in Slough Creek, and I'm so excited! The map is so beautiful too! I'm going to have so much fun exploring the new Slough Creek, and multiplayer on raising pups is definitely going to be more fun than it ever was before!!
Love the new scenting system, it was a hassle going back Everytime when the scents were depleting so quickly especially when hunting for the pups and have to quickly go back and mark it before predators came and take my pups but I am excited for Slough Creek keep up the good work WolfQuest ^-^
Ooooo yes! I've been waiting for a little more info on how territories in Slough Creek were going to work in the new game. I think this will be a lot more fun to play with compared to the half pies in 2.7. I'm blown away with how much effort you guys are putting in to make this game its very best! It may sound a little weird, but it encourages me to try my best when I come to a difficult point in my life. You guys are the best! XOXO
Will you add The Plane back? (The thing where every few minutes or so a plane comes if your wearing a radio collar)? And will you add back the Leg Limp? (Forgot if it was in the game or not, but I think it isn't?) I always loved pretending that the Plane was a wolf hunter and that I had to hide in a bush or in tall grass. (And if I didn't make it into a bush or tall grass before the Plane leaves the map I put on a leg limp to also pretend that the hunter shot me in the leg. If I got shot again with a limp I'll say I died and delete the wolf.)
I always thought that dogs lifted up their leg just so that they would keep their leg dry when they urinate, but the fact that they do it to spread it using wind is actually really cool. You learn something new everyday. Also, in November, I finally got a gaming PC and I was so excited! Wolf Quest was one of the first games I got on the PC and I played for around 2 hours today! I'm so happy :)
Oh idea! The Slough Creek when you make your territory could you like name your pack/territory? Like the other wolves that have their packs/territory named
i'd guess summer. they've been working on it probably since... say august 2019 or so, and they're making really good progress. they've got the new marking system here, they have models and ideas for dens, and they changed stranger wolf ai to expand outwards for territory. they have pup models and animations, too. also, the core gameplay (i.e. fights, hunting, mates, general exploring) is already there. it's just more additions. i expect to see it by summer, but please, take my words with a grain of salt. i do not work for wolfquest or get behind the scenes info. side note, i hope they're working on the gene plan they had a while back
This looks amazing! I think it'll be so fun to run around and renew scent markers. And, taking over territories will be a fun hobby.. >:D Anyway, this new feature is great, and I'm so excited to use it! Slough Creek looks so fun, stop teasing meeeee! Stay strong and WolfQuest on!
It's hard to put in to words how happy I am that I don't have to put custom markers in some sort of warped sqaure or triangle. Keep up the stellar work, Wolfquest *cough* -ps I can't wait for war- *cough*
This is so cool! I thought the current system is already pretty great, but this is even better! I have a question though - will we be able to pick the color of our pack's territory/scent posts? Just for aesthetics.
@@WolfQuestGame Aw, okay. That's understandable. But if you'll ever change your mind and maybe add like 3 basic colors the player can choose from that'll be nice!
I always wondered why urinating and fights changed the pack icon in Amethyst Mountain. It's also interesting how the females also raise their leg like that I never knew that. I can't wait for Slough Creek so I can try it out. Also would it be possible if wolves could die of old age if we allow them too? (such as an option like the permadeath for mates) Keep up the great work!
Probably not since the game barely encompasses a year (or will, with the addition of TF) but it would be amazing if one day, it will be possible to raise multiple litters with the same parents (and have older pups stick around to help) and, with a load of luck, live to die of old age. That's the ultimate dream xD
What a good idea for the title- nonetheless the whole game- I was born 13 years ago. I founded this game in 2013 and have loved it since. Dang Motorola for not supporting the game,
Yaaaaas! Its beautiful! And thank you for keeping yellow as the colour. Its my favorite colour and is severley underrated. Now... time to take over the map... 🌲🐺🌲
Oohohohohohoho! Junction Butte huh? Those guys ALWAYS gives me trouble! Especially when i've hunt close, never in their territory. The rivalry shall continue..... ps. LOOKING GREAT!! Keep up the great work!
Will you be adding this feature to multiplayer? Say like in a Pack Vs Pack multiplayer game, there is one pack that marks their territory and it is blue, then the other pack of player’s territory is purple/lavender. Can the blue pack mark the scent thing on the lavender pack’s territory to take it over? If not, that’s totally fine, your already put lots of wonderful features into the game. Just wondering!
@@WolfQuestGame I'm so glad! I was roleplaying on Lost Creek and there were two packs that were rivals, but we couldn't fight each other or use different colored scent marks because we were technically in the same "pack."
If u havent already, pls make an invincible mode so that you cannot interact or do anything, except for running around and see the world through birds eye or different angles. You can move around the world without having to worry about being attacked or dying, but you cannot earn points or progress through the game. The mode is purely for exploring the stunning world and seeing how NPCs act without your wolf around. It's a good strategy to study your enemy pack's behaviour
I watched this video 4 times in a row and I can't get over how wonderful experience this is going to be! Especially in multiplayer! This is really a great solution and will add more realism to the game. I LOVE the idea of putting the scent post icon on the compass! This will definitely make our wolf duties easier to perform :D When I was taking over some territories in Amethyst Mountain, I also unknowingly left my scent marks in specific places, for example, on Whitebark pines (which are my favorite type of tree in the game so far
Great video! This will be very useful! But quick question: will the pups get hungry as quickly as they did in the old game? I remember frantically looking for a carcass to feed them all the time, and now that hunting is less predictable and will take longer, if the pups get hungry that quickly it might get frustrating Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!
Idea! Establishing territory (could be any color chosen by game host) in multiplayer! Wolf fights could be bigger, such as if you have 6 players in a game, there could be 5,6,7 and up to 9! Another idea could be to bring mates into games, but games would be put at 2 to 5.
Ooooohhh... I haven't played Wolf Quest 3 before, and I'm looking at a playlist that's flipped around, and I'm really happy about the new winter Slough Creek! I thought it would look like the Winter Forest in WildCraft(Or whatever it's called), and in Wolf Quest 3, it kinda does! I can't wait to explore this brand-new map in the upgraded versions in one of my favorite games! (Too bad I can't build it in Minecraft, that would take forever). Also, it's a lot less stressful to mark territory, because from my experience, stranger wolves come in at %75, and they are SO fast. But now they probably come in at lower %, and if the lesser marked hexes are in the middle, stranger wolves might not get to it! And I'd bet you can steal territory of theirs that has low markings! Wolf Quest 3is a really good game, thank you for making it live up to my expectations the best you can!💙🐺💜💙🐺💜💙🐺💜💙🐺💜💙🐺💜💙🐺💜
My wolf soul is bouncing with joy! Edit: one question how are we going to go to slough creek without a pack member scouting out the territory and finding us and fighting us? I get nervous when we are in the territories because I don’t want to fight the other wolves you know I’m a peaceful wolf. Edit 2: do you need to put a sent post in every hex
I think it would be a tad more realistic if in single player, there would be more NPC wolves other than just you and your mate. I know that's coming in the DLC version of Wolfquest where you raise your pups, but most wolf packs have more wolves other than just the two parents. Again I know that in TowerFall you get to raise your pups to the summer but will you get to continue and Go back to Slough Creek with your pup's and continue to have more puppies and have your children help you raise them or what? Sorry if it's confusing
I cant wait I have been waiting for a realistic wolf game for so long im so glad i found wolf quest you guys have made my life so much better IV been so down in the dumps lately and this game has made me so happy so thank you❤
Idk where else to post this suggestion for the game but I think it be cool if you could add when you fully consume a carcass that there would be a skeleton left over, it would probably be a little more realistic than the carcass sinking into the ground .w.
Tip: Make it so you have to mark the edge of the territory more. It would be harder for wolves to get the territory if the are being chased away. Maybe if you mark a landmark on the edge of your territory it would enforce the inside one.
The k the lord because it really wasn’t fun having to dedicate and panic over time spent refreshing scent markers so much you can’t enjoy the game and hunt or raise pups etc so glad they reduce slower
All I can think about are those parents from your mini documantary who said "A game where you get to pee as a wolf! Disgusting!" You're like: "Yup, that's what they do."
@Sierra Faith Yes and at one point parents were trying to get WolfQuest to make the wolves vegan because they didn't like that you had to hunt to survive. XD
I recently got the game and I learned the hard way that the other wolf packs aren't gonna wait around and leave empty territory in the middle for you to claim lol :') (It is possible, it's just takes more time/is harder because I have to fight off the other pack's scent before establishing my own)
Dang you are really putting so much effort in this game impressive Also future idea maybe: it would be very cool and interesting of you could actually end up with a broken leg scratched ear, radio collar and whatnot, for example if you wander into a certain area it could be like some kind of rehabilitation area and if you get caught you end up with a radio collar? Idk lol just an idea😅
In the older vertion I did notice how my female would lift her leg when marking her terarory. I was kind of surprised as I didn't think the females did that but I knew the wolf quest team knew way more about wolves then me so I was like ok maybe they do XD and I did notice how small the teratory was though I just figured this was a thing to try and keep stranger wolves away to kinda help protect the pups so I didn't really question anything in the game unless I saw an animal fall through the ground when still alive XD it didn't hardley ever happen though it made for a good laugh expecally that glichy cow moose XD I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I was trying to kill it 😂

WolfQuest I don’t have the game yet but I do have the old one so I’m happy the mates help in this one too
WolfQuest so what if a bear comes along, will you have to fight it to low health to make it leave? Because it seems a bit risky.....
Also noticed on your icon where your mate affinity is, there's a pink bar. Is that the progress of the pregnancy? 👀
Ooooh hope so
Wait what if your wolf is female and the mate is male. Would your wolf become pregnant then, or would it only be possible with a female mate?
@@Yaffayaffa1984 more than likely it would show the pregnancy bar for yourself. Either in the same spot or on the other side of the icon
@@pip5622 Oh yeah probably :)
It would be so cool if you could actually see your wolf's stomach growing instead of how it did pregnancy and pups in the older version. Like, there could be a time period for it and then it could tell you when you're giving birth and you have to go back to your den and then it'll snap to your pups. XD
That would be so cool!
2 Activities i'm definitely going to do when SC comes out:
1. The fact that in SC, unlike AM, where pack territories can grow and actually take over the "whole map" if possible, I'd love to have that happen and commence pack war :) (All I do in AM is fight, XD sorry)
The only way I attract wolves really is if I sleep in the territory, which gets kind of annoying XD
So I was wondering if that could be a little improved, since the coordinates aren't always accurate, until then, Love the game, can't wait for more.
It’s a complex system but it all makes sense, I like it a lot and I’m looking forward to it!!
This! is! So!
Yep! Though after a few minutes they come and try to take it back which is a nuisance if you are trying to rest lol
👏
@Exotic Cream Puff while howling is much more efficient, peeing everywhere all the time also helps.
whoa! I'm so early! Amazing wolfquest I'm so proud that I chose to be in this communtiy!! Best choice ever!! Your so amazing!!:3
Time to defend! I’m excited for big territories!
Love it. I do have one question a Wolf Quest sometime in the future are you guys going to post a video on how the wolf pups that you raise and the game how they are going to grow up and eventually the pack. I was wondering if you guys have turn to work on the behaviour of the wolves and stuff when they're that age
Well, Tower Fall will continue the story but they still won't be fully grown. Hopefully we can keep adding to the game.
@@WolfQuestGame Will Tower Fall be a DLC or will it automatically be updated into the game? I'm just wondering so that I know if I need to clean horse stalls for the DLC or not. lol
@@Hotaruflash i heard its dlc
You should make it where the pups grow up and you can like keep building your pack
OMG Slough Creek is looking sooo GOOD!
Keep up the good work guys! I couldn’t have clicked faster!
I got home from school and watched TV for a bit, then something clicked in my head, saying, "Did wolfquest post a video yet?" And lmao I sprinted to my computer and never turned it on faster
By the way did you see Idea. That it would be cool if you can take bone from carcasses or maybe instead of is the carcass going into the ground of when it’s finished you can pick up the bone and you can pick them up and chew them or you can possibly give it to your pup to chew the when that comes out
Can't wait to see more!!!!!!!!! :D
When is Wolfquest 3 going to add in spread, stamina, and strength? Just curious!😁
P.S
Love the game and what you guys are adding. Keep up the great work!🐺🐾
Thanks! We are adding things like stats and achievements as we go. (No date predictions but we are making lots of progress).
"12-13 years later"
Holy crap, i just realised how *OLD* WQ is... You guys deserve all the praise 💖🐺😭
It looks amazing! I'm really glad that this game is based on actual research about wolves and their life!
Eeeeeeeeeep! I am *SO* excited for the game! I cant WAIT to establish all the amazing stories and lineages I have planned!
(Forgot if it was in the game or not, but I think it isn't?)
I always loved pretending that the Plane was a wolf hunter and that I had to hide in a bush or in tall grass. (And if I didn't make it into a bush or tall grass before the Plane leaves the map I put on a leg limp to also pretend that the hunter shot me in the leg. If I got shot again with a limp I'll say I died and delete the wolf.)
Yes on the plane. Limp takes more work so it is on hold for now.
There was a plane?
@@ADeadStoat Yep
I always thought that dogs lifted up their leg just so that they would keep their leg dry when they urinate, but the fact that they do it to spread it using wind is actually really cool. You learn something new everyday. Also, in November, I finally got a gaming PC and I was so excited! Wolf Quest was one of the first games I got on the PC and I played for around 2 hours today! I'm so happy :)
Oh idea! The Slough Creek when you make your territory could you like name your pack/territory? Like the other wolves that have their packs/territory named
Yes!
I feel like slouth Creek could come out this year like in the summer or fall .
i'd guess summer. they've been working on it probably since... say august 2019 or so, and they're making really good progress. they've got the new marking system here, they have models and ideas for dens, and they changed stranger wolf ai to expand outwards for territory. they have pup models and animations, too. also, the core gameplay (i.e. fights, hunting, mates, general exploring) is already there. it's just more additions. i expect to see it by summer, but please, take my words with a grain of salt. i do not work for wolfquest or get behind the scenes info.
side note, i hope they're working on the gene plan they had a while back
"Males have extra equipment" I love it XD
Wait a second - You can give your pack a name?
This looks amazing! I think it'll be so fun to run around and renew scent markers. And, taking over territories will be a fun hobby.. >:D
Anyway, this new feature is great, and I'm so excited to use it! Slough Creek looks so fun, stop teasing meeeee!
Stay strong and WolfQuest on!
Keep it going guys! Great work!
It's hard to put in to words how happy I am that I don't have to put custom markers in some sort of warped sqaure or triangle. Keep up the stellar work, Wolfquest
*cough* -ps I can't wait for war- *cough*
This is so cool! I thought the current system is already pretty great, but this is even better!
I have a question though - will we be able to pick the color of our pack's territory/scent posts? Just for aesthetics.
Probably not, to keep it simple.
@@SucicRaven I see but it would be cool
@@SucicRaven Oh yeah and to live on through your descendents throughout the generations.. THAT is the ultimate dream lol
Ahhh, i love this!!! It looks fantastic, guys -- amazing job. This'll be so much more fun.
What a good idea for the title- nonetheless the whole game- I was born 13 years ago. I founded this game in 2013 and have loved it since. Dang Motorola for not supporting the game,
Yes! Keep up the great work!!!
*me finding out i dont have ro run around everywhere every sec to pee.* Me: **dances**
LikoTheWolf idk if it’s just me but marking is so easy? I literally let my meter go down just so I could get an achievement lol
Yaaaaas! Its beautiful! And thank you for keeping yellow as the colour. Its my favorite colour and is severley underrated. Now... time to take over the map... 🌲🐺🌲
I like how y’all are making territory marking so much more fun and realistic
Oohohohohohoho! Junction Butte huh? Those guys ALWAYS gives me trouble! Especially when i've hunt close, never in their territory. The rivalry shall continue.....
ps. LOOKING GREAT!! Keep up the great work!
Getting facts of wolves peeing
Me:ok..this is fine
*i am ok in this lesson*
Will you be adding this feature to multiplayer? Say like in a Pack Vs Pack multiplayer game, there is one pack that marks their territory and it is blue, then the other pack of player’s territory is purple/lavender. Can the blue pack mark the scent thing on the lavender pack’s territory to take it over?
If not, that’s totally fine, your already put lots of wonderful features into the game. Just wondering!
Yes, Yes, an optional PvP mode will be coming to multiplayer in the future! (ha ha... get it? PvP?)
Ha ha, Yeah! Thanks for that! :)
Me: I will only play 30 more minutes *plays 3 more hours* P.S I love what y'all done with the game
I watched this video 4 times in a row and I can't get over how wonderful experience this is going to be! Especially in multiplayer!
This is really a great solution and will add more realism to the game. I LOVE the idea of putting the scent post icon on the compass!
This will definitely make our wolf duties easier to perform :D
When I was taking over some territories in Amethyst Mountain, I also unknowingly left my scent marks in specific places, for example,
on
Whitebark pines (which are my favorite type of tree in the game so far
We do hope to add more languages in the future and are exploring ideas for multiplayer localization.
Great video! This will be very useful! But quick question: will the pups get hungry as quickly as they did in the old game? I remember frantically looking for a carcass to feed them all the time, and now that hunting is less predictable and will take longer, if the pups get hungry that quickly it might get frustrating
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!
Well, pups are always hungry but we always try to find that sweet spot of challenging but fun.
Idea!
Establishing territory (could be any color chosen by game host) in multiplayer! Wolf fights could be bigger, such as if you have 6 players in a game, there could be 5,6,7 and up to 9! Another idea could be to bring mates into games, but games would be put at 2 to 5.
Interesting to know that my female dog raising her leg like this is actually very normal. Very much like this rework!
Games like this usually take ages to make so it’s surprising they’re moving so quickly! Props to you guys!
Everyone knows the new way we mark our treasure spots nowadays: pee. :)
Yessss new update! This is awesome!
This game is great!👌
sweet update!! im looking forward to more
Love this XDDD nice peeing mechanism once again XDD
So mesmerising :P
We do hope to keep adding to the story. It will take some time to grow up your first litter!
OMG OMG OMG OMG I CANT WAIT I love wolf quest I've been playing for 2 YEARS! I can't wait!!!
Wow, I am excited for slough creek version!
I was just thinking,When was Wolfquest going to upload their daily video?Right on time XD
I finally received my new computer! Wolfquest is downloading at this very moment :3
Who else is going through all the old dev blogs just to see how much progress has been made?
Sometimes I forget how old I am because when I heard him say 12-13 years my jaw dropped and then realized I was six when I first started playing
"maybe play it a couple of times"

Anniversary: 14
not as bad but eek

Tip: Make it so you have to mark the edge of the territory more.
It would be harder for wolves to get the territory if the are being chased away.
Maybe if you mark a landmark on the edge of your territory it would enforce the inside one.
Sierra Faith ya
I like this new gameplay mechanic
The k the lord because it really wasn’t fun having to dedicate and panic over time spent refreshing scent markers so much you can’t enjoy the game and hunt or raise pups etc so glad they reduce slower
Really awesome! Can't do it better in any way.
I'm glad that I said so much question about wolfquest 3
All I can think about are those parents from your mini documantary who said "A game where you get to pee as a wolf! Disgusting!"
You're like: "Yup, that's what they do."
@Sierra Faith Yes and at one point parents were trying to get WolfQuest to make the wolves vegan because they didn't like that you had to hunt to survive. XD
It would be hilarious if when it snowed and you marked a territory, the snow would be stained yellow
Good work WQ team!!
Wolfquest thank you so much for putting th game out because it really helped me learn about wolves and I love that
I recently got the game and I learned the hard way that the other wolf packs aren't gonna wait around and leave empty territory in the middle for you to claim lol :') (It is possible, it's just takes more time/is harder because I have to fight off the other pack's scent before establishing my own)
Dang you are really putting so much effort in this game impressive
Also future idea maybe: it would be very cool and interesting of you could actually end up with a broken leg scratched ear, radio collar and whatnot, for example if you wander into a certain area it could be like some kind of rehabilitation area and if you get caught you end up with a radio collar? Idk lol just an idea😅
Your pack : yellow
Another pack : new green
Yellow-green colourblind people : *nervous sweating*
I have a question.
If you leave the den with pups will they be safe until you get back like in the old game?
I think not
Stay tuned!
@@WolfQuestGame
that is rather ominous
I love how the game is preceding can’t wait😑😁
