    Hi! My son wants to get into photography and I'm considering getting him this camera. Ok ba ito for beginners? Would love to get your opinion. ☺️

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  2 года назад

      Hi, sorry!
      I thought I already replied to you.
      Anw, I appreciate that you want to hear my opinion.
      I am not a too technical when it comes to camera, actually, I am not a pro. But I think, for me, if it's for beginners... A point and shoot camera would do.
      I remember when I was beginng to get into photography, I was overwhelmed with lot of settings especially when it comes to Manual Settings, there's the ISO, Aperture and shutters peed etc etc.
      But photography isn't just about that. To be a ble to create a good photo, composition is one of the things you would want to learn first.
      Lumix Gf10 (what I used in this photowalk) can be a point and shoot camera and can also be more in depth when it comes to being more "professional" than just doing a point and shoot. Because it has Manual Mode (ISO, APERTURE AND SHUTTER SPEED), It also has other kinds of Auto Mode.
      You may want to check other mirrorless cameras from Panasonic Lumix Brand, fujifilm has also a camera line up just like Gf10 and Sony does too.
      I suggest to get a camera which doesn't have a fixed lens on it.
      So in the future, you can invest into other lenses depend on what your son's need. 😊
      I hope I somehow helped.
      Thank you for your support.
      STAY Awesome!

      Hi, as a photographer, I would say go and get this for your son. Im sure he will love playing with the settings, and he'll be ready for higher end mirrorless or dslrs for the future.

    Another nice video. Did you edit RAW captures or are these JPEGs straight out of the camera?

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for the compliment!
      I only shoot shoot in JPEGS since I am not much into editing. 😊

      @@osmfotografia Impressive! Good to know. i honestly thought they were edited from RAW. I suppose a good photo is a good photo from the start (no editing)

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  3 года назад +1

      @@TheophilusCarlos thank you!
      Yes, And for me, a good composition makes a good image already. 😊
      I have nothing against people who shoot in RAW, it's just as of now, I'm not yet into deeper editing. Maybe someday, I'll also get to learn that. 😊

    • @TheophilusCarlos
      @TheophilusCarlos 3 года назад

      @@osmfotografia Indeed! I always shoot RAW + JPEG nowadays because I looked back at some of my old JPEG only photos and wished that I had the RAW for editing 5 years later. It's like keeping the negative film for future use. Recently, however, I spent a few days fine tuning my JPEG colours and now I'm happy with the results. I now shoot small JPEG (~2MB) + RAW. Small because it's easily share-able in chats and emails etc.

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  3 года назад +1

      @@TheophilusCarlos yeah, I think I also heard that from someone else, having RAWs are like having a negative film, always ready to be developed (Editted). And I think it's indeed great to have RAW files. Hehehe.
      And just now, I think, I might do the same thing now. After all, if it's only photos, a 32gb memcard will still be able to be filled of JPEGS + RAW. 😊
      Thank you. 😁

    Idol pa share ng settings mo sa lumix gf10 ung outdoor settings thanks idol hihi

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  2 года назад

      Hi Sir,
      Wala po akong magsuggest na fixed settings eh. Kasi depende po ito sa
      1. Venue
      Kung maliwanag ba or madilim,
      2. Kung ano po ang gusto nyong output,
      For example: Panning shots, steady shot, long exposure etc etc.
      3. Lens
      I suggest sir, learn first these 3 things, ISO - APERTURE - SHUTTER SPEED.
      Para magka-idea po tayo if ano need iadjust depending on what we would like to shoot. 😊
      I hope nakatulong po ako kahit papano.
      And congrats po sa new camera nyo. 😊😊😊
      Pitik lang nang pitik, sir.

    solo walk ka dito bro? safe ba pag solo pw? tia

    • @osmfotografia
      @osmfotografia  Год назад

      Hi! One time pa lang ako nakapag photowalk sa Baguio, that time kasama ko mga tropa. 😊
      To answer your question if safe ba pag solo pw?
      I think, depends sa Lugar and sa oras. 😊
      Tips nalang siguro to have a safer walk:
      1. As much as possible, stay lowkey.
      - if meron, use small camera
      2. Blend with your surrounding
      - wag mag Suot ng mga agaw pansin na damit
      3. Scout muna yung Lugar
      - if may time, check the location beforehand, para alam mo kahit papano san mga daanan
      4. If possible, walk with friend/s
      I hope i was able to answer you.
