    Hello my flower friends. Michele posting here with news about a private customer I've started doing arrangements for this month. He had a large square glass vase that he wanted me to use for his 2nd arrangement. I then watch one of your video library tutorials involving a glass cube. I used large yellow roses and yellow spray roses, red spray carnations, and Japanese greenery from one of my bushes in my yard (before it snowed here in Mass. AGAIN). They were AWESTRUCKED on the BRIGHT colors used and looks STUNNING on their dining room table. If only I could somehow post the pic to show you just how it looks. Watching tutorials and seeing how an arrangement is created is a LIFESAVER for me. 🙂.

      Congratulations on your beautiful and successful rose and carnation floral design, Michele! It sounds really lovely, especially with the combination of red and yellow plus the Japanese greenery. If you do post a picture of it, you can always tag us at #floraldesigninstitute and we should be able to see it. It may not be possible to upload it to RUclips comments though, but we might be able to see it on Facebook if you follow us there. We're so glad that you are finding the tutorials helpful, and please do reach out if you are looking for something specific. We'll try to help you find it. Thank you very much for spending some time with us and for all of your lovely and enthusiastic posts. We are happy to have you here and hope to see you again soon!

    I am so in love with "My mom's favorite" arrangement ❤. My mom passed away last year, so this year on Mother's Day will be very different for me.

      We are so sorry that your mother passed away recently, Create & Partake! It is so difficult to lose someone special and much loved like your mom, and it does makes holidays like Mother's Day more challenging. Thank you for letting us know and for taking time to watch Live. If we can help in any way, please let us know, and we'll be thinking of you both. Wishing you some peace and consolation, as much as is possible, and sending you a hug.

    Been playing with this software all morning. I'm so excited! I do wish that it allowed me to add recipes without events. I wish I was able to just add my basic floral recipes for my everyday shop. As somebody with a developer background, I really love the theme tab! I don't know if all other florists are going to love it as much as I do but ❤️❤️🙏🙏

      That one is so beautiful, Anne! Leanne chose such gorgeous pink blooms for this arrangement, and the tall compote gives it an elegant and sophisticated style. That combination of hyacinths, lilacs, peonies, and dusty miller is just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your perspective and enjoying our show. Do you ever use a product called Crowing Glory to keep the flower fresher? I was told it seals the water in so they last longer. Thank you!

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Год назад

      That's another great question, Mandy! Yes, we use Crowning Glory all the time, and we even have it available on our website here: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/collections/flower-care-products It's an anti-transpirant that seals in the moisture and keeps the flowers fresh after you have created your floral designs. We also use it on flowers to wear pieces as well. Thank you very much for stopping by to watch our show, and we hope you enjoyed it. We appreciate your presence here on our channel and hope you have a marvelous week in all that you do!

    Could u show the netting and how u apply it? Get pricing video

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Год назад

      Hello Rosalee! That's a great question. Are you asking about floral netting and how we use it in a floral design? Generally floral netting resembles chicken wire but the difference lies in the fact that is is galvanized so it won't rust in water. It can also be used for bouquets just like Leanne demonstrates in this video: ruclips.net/video/TNUFGZjQu9Y/видео.html You can also place it in a vase or container and then use it to anchor flowers in place like Leanne does in this video: ruclips.net/video/DJlaDd_36Tg/видео.html Something else that might help is our playlist for foam free designs with alternate mechanics that you can find here: ruclips.net/p/PLJbJF6YZAYyLh21KNPRxtFXXeBcW6cZCi Hopefully that will give you ideas for how to use floral netting in your own arrangements. Thank you very much for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again soon on our channel!

    Do you find dusty miller to have a moldy/earthy scent? It’s so pretty and soft. Do hyacinth / bulb flowers seeping cause roses to wilt quicker in bouquet? Do certain flowers not mesh well together?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Год назад +1

      These are excellent questions, Sakina! Generally if dusty miller is fresh, it should not have any odor or scent. It is one of our favorite foliages to use, but it wilts if you don't hydrate it well. As for bulb flowers, daffodils are the ones to process separately from other flowers because they ooze sap into the water that can hurt the other blooms. Leanne did a Live all about processing flowers and you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/LqanJuav6R8/видео.html Hope this information helps! Thanks so much for watching our show and for stopping by to say hello. We hope you have a lovely week and may it be filled with gorgeous flowers too!

    How do you prevent others from taking your design and proposal and turning to another vendor?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Год назад

      That's an excellent question, Sakina! Unfortunately it does happen and you cannot prevent it. What you can do is focus on creating beautiful designs that your customers love so they will recommend you and refer you to others. It's important to know who your customers are, what they need, and then to develop a relationship with them. They will come back to you again and again. Thank you for taking time to watch this show, and we invite you to join us again soon. Best wishes to you and please take care!

      ¡Muchos saludos Maritza y bienvenidos a Flower School Live! Qué alegría verle por aquí. Descubrimos que sea posible cambiar los "settings" en los videos para auto-traducir en español lo que dice Leanne. Se encuentra settings con este emoji: ⚙️ Luego tiene que buscar su idioma en la lista. Para algunos de nuestros programas, también tenemos transcripciones y puedes usar Google Translate para traducirlas al español. Puedes encontrar esos videos aquí: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/flowerschool-videolibrary Muchas gracias por ver nuestros programas y ojalá que estas sugerencias funcionan para Ud. ¡Hasta luego y nos vemos pronto!

    Does the software have ability to track cat/ dog friendly flowers? For example poinsettia poisonous to eat.

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  Год назад

      That's an excellent question, Sakina! We'll ask the software developers and get back to you on that. One thing we have learned is that poinsettias aren't poisonous per se, but they do cause irritation to mouth and skin, and can cause vomiting. The ASPCA puts out a list of plants and their effects on animals that might be useful for you: www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants Hope this helps, and hope all is well in your corner of the world!
