During his lifetime, few people appreciated Bach, but now, thanks to modern information technologies, the splendor of his work illuminates the whole world and gives people happiness.
@@miguela.menendez1522 He was not rich, and he had to work a lot. After Bach's death, his wife became homeless. 100 years later, Bach became world famous. Before that, only professional musicians knew his work.
@@miguela.menendez1522 Well, let’s give the person who made the comment a break. Sure, Bach was appreciated in his lifetime, but not on the scale that he is now. Much of that is because of technology. In fact, I’m sort of anti-tech, but have to appreciate this good point. 😊
That's lovely to hear Christopher, thank you for your words! We're genuinely convinced that, given the beneficial effects classical music has on our mind and body, if more people would listen to it we'd be better off as a society 🙏

Halidonmusic, thank you for your choice of Johann's piano works, (by the way, cello suite in G major BWV 1007, despite the drama I love and the beautiful instrument, I like more piano version 🙂) and through a section of everything written, from a small sweet minuet in G major, through Inventions, French suites, special and adored Goldberg's variations, (the magnificent gematria) to the phenomenal Italian Concerto and Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, you reminded me how much I love the entire opus of (the greatest) Johann Sebastian Bach and how happy I am to enjoy the most beautifully written music ever 🎵😌🎶 Thank you❤️
Hello Halidon. It's 0500 and I have been listening to your recent Bach piano collection since 0200. The slow tempo of theInventions is particularly interesting and pleasing. We play Bach too fast in the modern world--like it's a race to show how successful and powerful we are. Thank you for bringing sanity to an overclocked world, and especially thanks loving and protecting Bach's music.
Thank you for your beautiful words, they mean a lot to us. Protecting and sharing the precious beauty of classical music is our mission and we're so grateful for the support and love we get from our listeners around the world - we couldn't do it without you all.
Interesting reply. I've played Bach for a long time and have always felt he used the heartbeat for timing. His era didn't have metronomes. I noticed a lot of his pieces are a very steady 70-79 BPM. Also similar to the walking pace, which he did a lot of!
Bach was quite possibly the greatest musical genius in human history. At the same time, he was also the composer who most took Jesus Christ into his heart. God was able to use him like no other composer. The result is that God, through the deeply religious Johann Sebastian Bach, gives us a glimpse of what awaits us when we will one day be with Jesus Christ - assuming we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior during our lifetime. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

@@HALIDONMUSIC hello thank you for your answer. But it's weird but when I type on youtube what you just wrote, it's another piece of music by Bach, much faster and more tonic that is proposed. In your video the rhythm of the piece is soft, calm, but RUclips offers with this name of piece of music something very different. I would like to find this soft and slow rhythm in a RUclips video specially dedicated to this piece 😁
@@IndraChatabThe piano didn't exist in Bach's time. The first prototypes which gradually lead to the pianoforte were starting to appear. Bach tried them and found them without musical merit. He never composed for them. Bach's keyboard music has been subsequently often played on the piano but Bach wrote zero piano music.
Wonderful idea by Halidon but to my ear the performances are wooden and mechanical if technically excellent. There is too little emotional content and musicianship.
