Have been a fan of ne obliviscaris since i was around 12 or 13 around the time i started looking up random cool sounding names that were edgy and i think i typed no oblivion song in youtube search like 18 years ago and it came up with ne obliviscaris and the track Xenoflux i have been hooked ever since thanks for being a buge musical inspiration in my life
I got hooked by a Facebook ad that was like "do you like Opeth? Well buddy do I got a band for you!" Some 10 or so years ago! Madly in love ever since! Seen them twice so far in Florida!
The circularity of the Second half of the solo is hypnotic... Wow!
I love the sound in second half too it’s starts with a gallop but then sounds like you described just beautiful
Man, I've been addicted to this solo ever since the single came out. None of those shredding shenanigans; just a rich and sophisticated work of classical art where every lick is perfect. Gorgeous! I would love to see more playthroughs.

this is prob my 2nd or 3rd favourite solo in all of metal. so phenomenally unique and the section starting from 0:36 is so goddamn addicting. perfect melody. incredible.

I need to ask...Did you have sirens in mind when you wrote this?? I hear them, they give me a lump in my throat. I didn't realise how emotionally scarred I still am from that time. The flames, the choppers, the darkness, the smoke, the fear, that uncontrollable feeling of helplessness. I stayed awake for three nights keeping looters out of my street. This song brought ALL that back. I cried 🤘

how does he get his tone, it sounds very like "twangy" in a way, kind of similar to a wah pedal in a way.

not yet, but this video is all you need to learn the solo. It's 60fps so slow it down 50% and you'll see very well what i'm doing
I dont suppose there any tabs to this im really struggling to learn this by ear :)
we're plannig on releasing some for this record, not sure when though.
I actually upload my videos in 60 fps so people can slow it down using the RUclips option if they want to transcribe what i'm doing.
