    I was watching the start of the video thinking, "Dirt jumps on a trail bike? Yeah, Cam McCaul does that and it's great. Hey, Cam and Blake both have an awesome goofy, happy-go-lucky attitude. They should do a video together."
    ... and then Blake uttered the phrase "Slopeduro". Cam introduced the discipline of "Slopedurocross" to the world. So now I'm a thousand percent certain these two dudes should ride together.

    I`m sure I heard Blake, on a different video, suggest locking out the rear shock for jumps. When and why would we do this ?

    • @tommysnowden
      @tommysnowden 3 года назад

      I've heard him say that as well with coaching Rich on a step up jump. He didn't go into any detail though. Could be that although it helps pumping it could ruin the lockout on the rear shock if you land heavy.

    It would have been cool to hear more about what changes you made - I'm guessing you increased suspension pressures pretty high and lowered compression, completely dialed out rebound? And WERE you running high PSI in the Reactor's tires?
    Some slopestyle riders used to take full-suspension XC bikes and put shorter shocks on the back (lowering BB height and seat height) and turn them into full-on slope machines, it was rad.

    • @tommysnowden

      @joyler7 3 года назад +1

      @@JoostEskes Not specifically from this video or any subsequent comment, but since 6 months ago stiff/closed/high air pressure compression and high tire pressure seems to be the way to run dirt jumps.

    • @matthewdone8991
      @matthewdone8991 Год назад

      Decrease the sag by adding air pressure to the rear shock, aiming for a sag between 20-25% of the total travel.
      Increase low-speed compression damping for additional support during takeoffs and landings.
      Fine-tune the rebound damping to prevent bucking and maintain stability. Start in the middle and move it faster see how you go
      Increase tyre pressures to around 30 PSI

    Everything functions properly ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of RUclips. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
