There are very few country music singers these days that can sing like those of the 90’s and before…. Loved Tracy Lawrence then and still a daily listener 30+ years later!!
So I went and seen Cody last night. A transformer blew in the arena we were at, he plugs up the PA to his bus’s power supply and plays half his set acoustic with his guitarist and fiddle player. Highest level of respect for this guy!
Depends on your poison, i wouldnt call myself a country music fan but his guitar playing is what got me into him and then I slowly started liking more. Now I like alot but nothing is like Cody.
I am a full believer that the best way to enjoy Cody Johnson is like this. Cody playing acoustic and Jody on the fiddle. It’s great music in its purest form.
@@SnowQuaker I’ve seen the man no less than 10 times live! I’ve never once been disappointed. First time I saw him was at George’s in Fayetteville, AR and there were only about 40 people there. I got to see his Opry debut where he brought his parents up on stage to sing with him in person! He’s been my favorite since the Six Strings, One Dream album and it’s been awesome to see both his music and his career grow. I just want to see him getting radio #1’s
@Cody Johnson omg Cody Johnson replied to me!! It’s not sketchy at all that you joined RUclips 2 days ago! Would you like the last 4 digits of my social too? Happy to help!
@@tygre7 idk man he’s super talented not only that but Shane has serious connections in the industry, he definitely not less the musician than Cody they complement each other well
I’m so impressed with Cody’s guitar playing skills. Most lead singer’s and front men can play but would need one of their guitar players to do an acoustic set like this. Plus the fiddle player was a great addition. My goodness did he do ‘Wichita Lineman’ justice and I love that song ‘Cowboy life’. Ahh heck I love everything CJ ever does.
We need to get back to (THE SOUND OF COUNTRY) RAW REAL MUSIC! Over Produced and pop country are not what us country folk want to hear! .... This was real! REAL COUNTRY, REAL YOU, AND REAL MUSIC! Thank you and hope to find more of this.
This will be Friday nights whiskey jams... CoJo has made my life so much better being overseas... I just close my eyes and picture myself standing in American soil. Thank you!!! Thank you for creating the purest and some of the most enjoyable music there is in country music right now. Hope you one day meet you and shake your hand... and maybe play guitar with you. Lol
God bless keep and use you brother. Hang tough. We civis sleep peacefully in our beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on our behalf. Thank you for. Johnson and Stapleton , Lainey, and Kelce Family Eagles, Chiefs, Bill's brought NFL back to patriots and good tgat is stronger than evil. Hold the line for us. Waiting for you whenever you can come home. Real is still here, we just stay off radar. Love to you brother.
Dear Rodeo is my ode to dirt racing, and hanging up my helmet knowing it was what I loved most. Definitely my favorite of his, always play it when I'm missing the track
You can feel his heart in this song Dear Rodeo! I loved watching the documentary about you and the Rodeo. My favorite part is when you are riding your horse coming out singing this song you are a cowboy in my eyes! Thanks Cody.
I have been to a LOT of concerts in my life, but when I took my daughter to see CoJo in Beaumont, TX, let me just say, “Hands down, this was the BEST”!! Cody and his band put on one helluva show!! We were front row, and it was AMAZING!!! ❤️👍🏻
Real country We heard You in Canada . You caught my attention cause you were a Christian . Love your Music . I lived in Saskatchewan where you had the wreck or in the areas Moose jaw
All of that And the tribute to the legend that was Glen Campbell just adds to the greatness. Campbell was one of the BEST guitar players of all time! But, that uncommon fact doesn't do him justice. He could do it all and made it look easy. That's why he never got the credit he deserved. But I'll say it. Roy Clark, Jerry Reed and Glen Campbell were 3 of the best guitarists/musicians this world has ever seen. They were somehow so insanely good at what they did that they were under appreciated and overlooked.
Folks, you are seein' and listnen' to real country the way it should be done.. No fireworks, flashing lights, OR earsplitting volume. Just a man and his guitar with a little help from his friend. Sooooooo good....
Why in God's name don't you have more artists like him on?? This is real country. Not that crap you've been forcing down out throats the last decade. We all desperately want more of this
Finally, all is well, in the midst of chaos and spinning out of control, and good that is stronger than evil, and right with this world, reflected in music...Thanks Cody...for this, Dear Rodeo, Jesus Loves You, and being real. Finding my people through your music. Thank you for. ❤ God bless.
So excited to get to bring my kiddos to a Cody Johnson concert in July and then a girls trip for the adults in September for my birthday and I can’t wait!!!!
I’m a new fan after recently discovering Cody. My Old man brought me up on country music. At 55 I’m inspired to know there are men like Cody holding it down, speaking truth to power, and standing for what this country was built on. God Bless you Cody!!! His voice IS country music. The song writing is unparalleled. The resonance and power. I absolutely love his band! Keep the faith and keep shining your light…
This is what country should sound like! Cody, your a huge inspiration to me, your my favourite artist, keep being awesome man! Maybe one day I’ll get to play with you!!😊
Glad he's made it to mainstream. I hope more and more people keep jumping on this country music band wagon. We're getting there. Church, Stapleton, Combs, Johnson, Larry Fleet and some others are leading the way. Country music might be dry noise to some, but to many of us, it's everything. It's what we live, breath and do. Even if no one notices or cares to care. These words mean something
So good, exactly what I needed. Life’s been crazy the last 6 months. This is what every good ol boy needs. Life hits you hard, but good musical talent, a drink, a good friend, a fire in the woods just helps you focus on what’s important. Reflect, refocus, and work hard. I think God has the rest handled.
Dear Rodeo and Cowboy Life sound AMAZING in this simple, acoustic form. You made them much worse running them through the cookie-cutter pop country studio filters. Please release an acoustic version. I'd buy it all day.
Thanks, Cody Johnson, for sharing your music. Dear Rodeo really touched the heart of a little 'ol cowgirl. Rodeo and my love for a really good horse will always be at the core of what makes me tick.
Glen Campbell singing Wichita Lineman has always made me cry. There is just something about his voice that just gets me every time. When I heard Cody Johnson sing it here, I was cryin again. Beautifully done on every song as only Cody Johnson can do. Mr. Campbell has got to be smiling down from heaven every time this is playing.
After you're done cozying up by the fire with Cody check out our exclusive interview with Tracy Lawrence's ruclips.net/video/ke4Bt5Ezaf0/видео.html

True country artist right there
Was the transformer decepticon or autobot
He's definitely one of the best
Must be nice cause I’m from Houston and that would be great to go unplug for a set.💯🤘🏼🤠🤗
Thats bad ass !
People don’t understand how good of a guitar player he really is.
He's very difficult to mimic
Depends on your poison, i wouldnt call myself a country music fan but his guitar playing is what got me into him and then I slowly started liking more. Now I like alot but nothing is like Cody.
When George Jones asked who's gonna fill those shoes ..30 yrs later we found them. Ride cowboy, ride

100% brother. And very few can pull it off like CoJo. Would love to be sittin right there with a cold one
See him live! He does this at one point and it’ll bring a tear to your eye!

True facts! He is the best!
Cody JOHNSON PURE COUNTRY MUSIC AMEN 🙏
His voice is so pure , he’s my favorite artist 🙏🏻🙌🏼🇺🇸 🐎
Absolutely! Nothing artificial here!! Love it!
Anybody else keep listening to Wichita Lineman over and over? It’s so pure and like gold 😍😍😍
It’s the only reason why I keep playing this vid
Like every song though honeslty
Most underrated artist in ‘country music’ right now. 🐐
Let’s not overlook the fiddle player laying down some serious licks and killer harmonies...
That guy is half the sound, even with the full band.
@@tygre7 idk man he’s super talented not only that but Shane has serious connections in the industry, he definitely not less the musician than Cody they complement each other well
Jody Bartula has him a band and currently tours Texas when Cody’s not playing.
