I like it.
Love your idea. I used 1/2 of the gallon metal can for the base to catch the wood ash. I drilled 5/16 diameter holes at the bottom of the bowl so I can use wood pellets. The fire can last for 1 hour with 2 cups of wood pellets, and less smoke than wood sticks. I am thinking of using the second bowl with the bottom cut out, and screw it up side down on top of the first bow , with a piece of wire mesh place on top of the fire pit I can grill hamburgers for lunch.
I live in Minneapolis / MN. I bought the bowls from Dollar Tree. I did a test fire today with 2 cups of wood pellets and the fire looked very cool. Will send you the video.
