  • Join me as I show you how to crochet this fun wind spinner. This is a fun beginners project as you only need to know chain, single crochet and double crochet.
    This is the yarn I used in this project:
    Lion Brand Yarn Rebound yarn, SPRING amzn.to/3kBkCy0
    Hooks from this project:
    These are the hooks that you often see me use in my videos. I love the way they feel in my hand since the handle is thicker than a metal hook. You also have the benefit of the light if you are working with a dark yarn or in a low lighted area.

    Thank you such a detailed video. I have seen many on how to make the wind spinner, but this is the first one I have seen on what to use to help it spin. Now I'm ready to make one:)

    Beautiful spinner. Using some thinner yarn, I'm gonna try continuing the pattern to where I'm working five or even eight stitches in each DC. Hopefully it will work out right.

      Would love to know how it came out with that many stitches...and it must have taken forever. I felt like the 3 in each took a long time!

    Tie the center of the yarn before you remove it from the phone. Then cut the yarn in half. This is much easier.

    Love your video! Can you please advise what you used to HANG the finished spinner...it looks like some type of clip! THANKS!

    • @CoachMel
      @CoachMel  2 года назад

      I use a fishing spinner and then you can just attach some yarn, string etc. The one in the video is not a fishing spinner, it had more of a clasp, I don't like it as much as the fishing spinner. Hope this helps.

      @@CoachMel Thanks so much. I chained a loop for hanging and wondered where to add a spinner....above or below the loop?

    Where did you get the yarn?

  • @kriswagoner4935
    @kriswagoner4935 3 года назад +1

    I meant the tassel

    • @CoachMel
      @CoachMel  2 года назад

      You would NOT be able to brush the tassel with the Rebound yarn because it is nylon, but with an acrylic or wool yarn I would say yes you could.

    Buongiorno, mi sarebbe piaciuto, dal momento che i sottotitoli in italiano non ci sono, che almeno, mentre lavorava, scrivesse da qualche parte quante catenelle ha avviato. Spero lo faccia al prox video.

    How much yarn?

    Can you brush your spinner?

    • @CoachMel
      @CoachMel  2 года назад

      It would depend on the yarn you use, the tassel could be brushed. Not with the Rebound yarn though.

  • @caroltaylor593

    How much yarn did you use?

    • @CoachMel
      @CoachMel  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for asking, realizing I forgot to mention at the end of the video. I ending up using about 1/2 of the Rebound skein which was less then I thought it would be. It is a 175 yard skein. This would of course depend on your hook size, and how loose or tight you crochet so it may vary.

      @@CoachMel Thanks. I’ve made one and working on second one. Keep those videos coming.
